Situated in Monte Gordo, this attractive house for $450 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Stunning 4 bedroom house (sleeps up to 12) with large outdoor pool, situated within the urbanization of Audiencia, next to Praia Verde, in the unspoilt East Algarve, 15km from Tavira and 8km from Vila Real de Santo Antonio. Set among pine trees and close to all amenities the house is five minutes walk (250 metres)from the superb sandy beach and two restaurants and a cafe/bar. Casa Azevado is within a few minutes drive of five superb golf courses, including the new Jack Nicklaus, Monte Rei course, and backs onto a national reserve of pine trees. Casa Azevado, laid out over three floors with terraces. The house back onto the beautiful national park and towards the sea, and is luxuriously furnished throughout its four bedrooms, large living room and dining area, together with a large kitchen. The linked house is air conditioned and is luxuriously furnished to a very high standard. The beautiful Ria Formosa!: The Ria Formosa in the Algarve is a beautiful labyrinth of lagoons separated from the sea by a coastal dune system which is broken up by various natural inlets. It is one of the most important nature reserves in the network of wetlands that links Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. Great location for beach access, outdoor space was amazing, close to cafe and mini market and in walking distance to train in MG. Lots of tv options! 8 adults made it a little crowded esp on rainy days when we were inside! The beds and pillows were not to our liking- too soft ! Overall, we enjoyed our time there!

The area was great with the beach only a short walk. The neighbourhood was quiet and it suited our needs perfectly. The town of Monte Gordo was a short walk along the beach and minutes driving. We did feel that that house needed a little updating but it didn't hinder our stay. We would very much love to return.

the property is well proportioned all our visitors over the month we had it were happy with their rooms , located handily for the beach we were fortunate to have good weather throughout our stay feb/mar with a cafe/ bakery close enough to pop out to and a good fish restaurant on the beach ,
we had a couple of minor problems with electrics and took us a while to figure the gas had run out when hot water stopped basic instructions would have helped
overall our stay was exactly what we hoped and would happily stay here again

Perfect for our needs
Well located.Near restaurants beaches shops but in a quiet location.
In a less touristy side of the Algarve but not isolated from any amenities.
Pool warm enough to swim even early April. Kitchen well supplied with utensils and white goods. Plenty of room in the bedrooms. Games room with pool table and table football a real bonus for young ones especially on rainy days. Great barbeque area outside.
Would highly recommend for a self catering family to the Algarve.

A casa está muito bem situada perto da praia com bons acessos. O logradouro é bom. A churrasqueira muito boa com funcionalidades para preparação dos grelhados sem invadir a cozinha. Instalámos as mesas exteriores no "corredor" junto à janela da cozinha o que facilita o interface com a mesma. Estava tudo asseado e com disponibilidade de toalhas de banho e mesa, panos de cozinha, copo triturador que dá muito jeito quando se têm crianças que comem sopa como era o nosso caso. A louça , talheres e trem de cozinha abundantes. Experiência a repetir

loved our holiday inthe villa was large and plenty of space for everyone to chill out the pool was great as weather was fantastic ,villa is a 15min walk to monte gordo through forest and 5mins from a gorgeous beach .Andrew and Elise were a lovely couple and always available to answer any questions and sort out any problems ,had a great stay x

Maison agréable à 5mn à pieds d'une belle plage dans un secteur calme
Nous étions 10 personnes (3 couples et 4 enfants), l'annonce indique que la maison peut accueillir 12 personnes mais sincèrement elle est plutôt pour 6 à 8 personnes (8 si vous acceptez d'avoir une chambre en sous sol avec une toute petite fenêtre et sans climatisation). De plus, il n'y a que deux salles de bain et ça fait juste à 10. Pour les couchages de la salle de jeu, ceux ci sont spartiates.
Sinon la maison est bien équipée et propre (mis à part les fourmis dans la cuisine).
Nous venons de faire 3 maisons différentes ces dernières semaines et en comparaison, même si effectivement la proximité avec la plage est pratique, le prix est légèrement trop cher.

Depois de 1 semana passada nesta moradia, apenas temos maravilhas a apontar, tanto na moradia em si, como no acolhimento pelo Sr. Andrew e Sr.ª Else.
A casa é fantástica, perfeita para umas férias em família e com crianças e jovens. A piscina, os salão de jogos e a proximidade da praia são uma mais valia substancial.
Todo o processo decorreu na perfeição com o Sr. Andrew e Sr.ª Else, que foram super atenciosos, tanto na troca de emails prévia à nossa chegada como pessoalmente, sempre disponíveis para qualquer necessidade.

This is the first time we stayed in a villa on a foreign holiday so we were excited and apprehensive at the same time. There were 13 in our group 6 adults, 3 teenagers, and 4 young children staying less than 2 full weeks. But, to our relief, the owners were accommodating with our numbers and our dates. From the moment we arrived (12 midnight) until we left, we found it spacious, well-equipped, and clean. During our stay a cleaner came by to change the bed linens and a pool guy stopped and did "his thing". A sign that the house is well-maintained! We, all found the villa, the neighbourhood and nearby Monte Gordo Town perfect for our summer getaway. The pool provided private fun and relaxation. The built-in patio barbeque (which got a hefty workout during our stay) made it too easy to spend whole days at the villa instead of the beach. On days we did make the short 200 metre walk to a beautiful, spacious and clean beach and we loved it!. We read the past reviews and visited the local bakery for fantastic breads/cakes. The kids liked the ice cream selection too! Another review recommended the bike rentals from the Town. They were a fantastic way for the everyone to go exploring and get some exercise. The bird sanctuary was a nice relaxing (15 minute) walk to the town. The folder of information in the villa, which we found very helpful, had recommendations and numbers for dental/medical emergencies, restaurants, super markets and most importantly, taxis. We got lucky enough to meet up with Jose Carlos a local taxi man with his own business (3 cars and drivers). He ended up as our tour guide/personal driver! Accommodating any number up to 13 of us. He was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend him-I left his business card in the folder. He recommended a wonderful restaurant in Villa Real. It was overlooking the river. Fantastic evening. Another day we took the ferry (€5/person) to Spain. I recommend this too. Finally, Else and Andrew were the perfect hosts-They were there when you needed them, but not "hovering" if you wanted your privacy. They were helpful and accommodating and were only a short distance away if you needed anything. Sometimes owners/managers aren't available if you need to speak to them. Overall summary: Great villa + friendly people + perfect location = Fantastic Holiday. Only sad part of our stay, the day we left! Highly recommend Else and Andrew and this property to anyone. We are definitely planning on returning!

The villa was immaculately clean and had everything possible to make our stay easy and relaxing.The position of the villa is fantastic and peaceful , and genuinely 250m from the beach and a short bike ride(1km) through the natural park next to the villa is monte gordo town.
If you are staying around montegordo, there is no need to hire a car, the transfers from faro are very reasonable ,but I would strongly recommend hiring bikes for the week , it is very flat there,with cycle lanes, and it was fun for all the family!(even my 14 year old daughter!)We hired bikes from Tur Fortes 15 euros the week!They can also arrange transfers and deliver and pick up bikes from the villa as a package.
The beach at casas da Audiencia is beautiful with fine white sand and not too busy. You can hire 2 loungers and a shade for 12 euros a day and they throw in an extra lounger if needed free of charge!
Montegordo is a family resort so not a lot going on for the older teenagers, although in our party of twenty,didn't get any complaints.
We are definitely coming back here and will use Home away again as Andrew and Else were incredibly helpful.
The down side if any ,are that the villa needs an extra bathroom if 10 or 12 people are staying there! Also we turned up very late in the day and had no food or essentials at the villa(starter pack!) mentioned this to Andrew and he said that if we had requested they could have arranged it, Something definitely to do next time!
Finally the people of montegordo and especially the old lady selling fruit on the way to the beach are so friendly.

Muito obrigada ao casal Derrick pela simpatia nas palavras ao descrever-nos mas modéstia aparte somos mesmo um grupo fantástico! :) e obviamente que o mínimo que podíamos fazer era cuidar da casa e deixa-la limpa e arrumada como se fosse nossa! Muito obrigada pela vossa atenção e preocupação connosco para que passássemos umas belíssimas ferias! Adorei! E por mim voltava ja :) A casa é fantástica, tem muito espaço, muito bem equipada, não nos faltou nada. Ja tenho saudades de tudo! E ir para a praia a pé também é um luxo muito saudável! Recomendo vivamente!
