It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Le Mannare, extremely welcoming host Gian and Mariaclara really made our stay homey and comfortable. Beautiful room and garden with peacock roaming around day time. Great location on the mountain and right on the bus line, only 10mins bus ride to go downtown. 5mins bus ride or 15/20mins walk to go to the sunset view point. Supermarket and butcher within 100m. We had a kitchen in our room but anyways there are many restaurant around, all walking distance. Also worth mentioning that they offer free ferry pick up and drop off which is so helpful! Will definitely visit again!

The owners are the one of the friendliest people i knew in sicilia. The view is great and the surrounding is very clean and silent

The host was amazing, really helpful and prepared to answer any question. She picked us up from the ferry and took us down also. The views were amazing, the interior of the small houses beautiful!

The location is kinda remote. The island is not keen on using public transport (altough there is still connection available), so you need to think of renting a vehicle. There was delicious breakfast, but only one of the days.

Mariaclara and Gianmaria are great hosts! Open, kind and generous. They picked us up in the port, let us try the local cactus fruit and gave us the best recommendations on the island.

We were blown away by the excellent service. We were offered and availed ourselves of the pick up from the Port. The facilities in the accomodation were super. Aircon in bedrooms/livingroom/kitchen. The whole place was spotlessly clean. There was coffee, tea, jam etc provided, and more cooking utensils than some of the places we had stayed for a full week. Goodies in the fridge too, soaps etc in the bathroom. Plenty towels, comfortable beds. We asked about buses and were provided with a bus timetable (note, you cannot go right round the island on one bus, it took us a while to figure the timetable out. Buses go from Lipari port up to the top of the island anti-clockwise and clockwise, and then come back the same way, so for instance to go to Acquacalda we had to get a bus to Lipari and then another from there. It was 1.70 per trip. There are other random buses as well, that serve other side routes) We did walk down to the port on our first morning. It took us about 40 minutes, but be prepared to have a sore bum, its really steep and the tops of our thighs got a good workout! There are little side routes , rather than the main road - a wee hand drawn map showing these would be handy. I'd recommend hiring a scooter though, had we not had the kids with us we would have. A taxi from the port was 25 euro and 35 euro on the weekend! Our hosts were SO helpful with providing information, I really wish we could have stayed longer and made use of all their tips on the area. And we loved the wee gift of the local wine. We were also given a lift back to the port on our leaving day. Overall, fantastic, I'm very happy to recommend and I would return

A wee local map showing other routes off the main road for walking into town would be helpful, we found one route totally by accident! It was just a little too far for walking back up the hill and the local taxis are not the cheapest

Simply perfect, the most charming, beautiful place I have stayed and I travel a lot. I was a little concerned at the distance from Lipari Town when we first arrived but it is precisely that which makes it the speacial piece of paradise it is. I was without a vehicle but it was super easy to get around; the bus stop is just outside the property. There is a supermarket and 4/5 places to eat plus a little locals bar -which I loved- all within walking distance. There is also a small beach at Monte which is a half hour walk or bus and 15 mins walk. At the end of every day I looked forward to going home to my beautiful peaceful haven. Leaving.

It had a wonderful, big garden full of trees and flowers and amazing views of the sea. Our room had a nice, cool private terrace where we could have breakfast and dinner. We also had a kitchenette which was very handy.

The only thing would be that it’s a bit far from the center but there is a bus service with a stop just outside the property and you can also rent a scooter.

Le Mannare was one of the highlights of our holiday in Eolie. An exceptionally beautiful rural complex transformed into guest house in the heart of Lipari. The views from the garden are amazing. Our room was spacious, nice and perfectly clean. The hosts Mariaclara and Gian Maria are super friendly and will give you plenty of tips to enjoy your time on the island. Highly recommended!
