Floors and upholstery with human and pet hair. Few dead bugs not removed. Grass overgrown. Mice issue. Location to beach was greatZ still waiting refund

This cute beach house is perfect for small families. A dishwasher would be an ideal improvement to the kitchen. The showerhead leaks and has damaged the wall above the shower. Under the furniture could use a deep cleaning as there was dust and hair on the floor. Close walk to public beach access and the pier. Overall, it was great!

The house was fairly clean. Some fans and vents could use some attention. The house has some upgrading that could take place. The flooring is very soft in spots. The shower is small and leaking. The yard remained not mowed during half of our visit. We paid for the dog to come with us and had to keep him close because of the weeds and foot tall grass. The beach is close and easy access. All in all it is a cute house but some TLC would be nice. Kure Beach is a great little area especially as far down as this house is located.

We enjoyed our stay. Loved the fenced in yard. Beds were very comfortable. Great amount of space. With a new shower head, better broom and a little clean up of the washing machine, this place would be impecccable!!!! I hope Carolina Realty will add that TLC.

The house was cozy, and quaint. Great location (only like 4 houses from the beach access), and close to "downtown kure". The showers left a little to be desired. Inside shower head leaked, and I guess they tried to fix it with a bag or plastic wrap? Outdoor shower head could use some CLR as it was caked with build-up (as ocean water tends to do). The biggest issue we had was the address online. It takes you to the wrong end of Kure beach, to a ocean front home. I believe the issue is it's 620 S. Fort Fisher, and not 620 Fort Fisher S. We tried to call the rental agency, but they're closed on Sunday. That's understandable for most things, but when we couldn't even find the home it was an issue. Thank fully through the emails with VRBO, not Carolina beach reality, and some Google maps tinkering, we found it. Place was great, plenty of parking, and even dog friendly (even though we didn't bring a dog). We'd definitely stay again!

We loved our stay at this property. It is not in pristine condition (it is a bit dated), but if you are traveling with toddlers and a dog, pristine is problematic. It was clean, the fenced in yard was perfect for our crew, and the management was very responsive when we needed them. The only improvement I would recommend is placing a permanent fan in the kitchen. The smoke alarm is very sensitive (which is good), but it went off nearly every time we even thought about cooking until we placed a standing fan beneath the smoke alarm. Otherwise, our stay was extremely comfortable, the location was great for our needs (family with littles looking for a quiet spot), and management was extremely responsive. Two thumbs and four paws up.

This property needs a thorough deep cleaning. Bugs, hair, dirty furniture, etc. It was so disgusting that we had to put a sheet down in the couch in order to use it. Inside the fridge/freezer gross, the silverware drawer is loaded with crumbs and human hair! I noticed the management company immediately and they were responsive, even refunded the cleaning fee. If you don’t care about cleanliness, this place would be fine. Location is good.

Perfect location for 2 older adults and a senior dog. Cross the street and walk a half block down the sidewalk to get to the beach. And no steps to climb in the house or at the beach access. Our dog loved the fenced-in yard. We walked to Jack Mackerel's restaurant for some great seafood. One suggestion: the kitchen could use some better cookware and a steamer pot.

Had a great time. Just wished they was a dishwasher. Great location as we have been coming to Kure Beach for last several years. Love the small town beach feel. This was our 1st time not staying ocean front but was still just a short walk. Inside was nicer than the outside of the property.

overall the stay wasn't bad. the house needs a decent amount of updating tho. the countertops were leveled by paper towels being stuffed underneath it. cleanliness over all was below par bathroom ceiling and molding were caked in dust dead bugs in drawers and cabinets. also sleeps 6. but only had seating for 2 because the chair in the living room was so broken you sunk to the floor if you sat on it. overall gives you shelter but wasn't anything to rave over.

Upon arrival we had to wash ALL the dishes and wipe down the entire kitchen with disinfectant wipes due to the amount of MOUSE FECES all over the kitchen. Upon the clean-up we realized the house did not come with an “effective” broom-resulting with a broom and dust pan purchase (which we decided to leave for future occupants). Given this is a pet friendly home and is located at the beach- an effective broom is needed. However, all other aspects were great!

Clean house in a great location. Across from the beach and a five minute drive or half hour walk to Fort Fisher Historic Area beach which is just beautiful. A small fenced in yard and grill My dogs were happy as were we!!

Had a great time visiting Kure beach. Key Lime Escape was very comfortable. All the conveniences of home. Clean. Right across street from ocean. Dogs had a backyard to roam in and felt comfortable for them also. An all around great time and will definitely visit again.

Fortunately, a neighbor came and trimmed them while we were there. The back yard was about the same and poorly manicured. Fenced in area was nice to let the dog outside off a leash. The grill in the back yard had rust chunks all around it and we didn’t chance grilling on it. A lot of dust where the vents exit and on the ceiling. The floor was also very dirty, maybe it wasn’t swept before we got there? Bathroom shower was dirty and the shower head has a lot grime. The couch in the living room is small and there’s only one TV. The positive is that it’s pet friendly and a short walk across the street to the public beach access. We rate it a 3 to be nice and the fact we like the beach there. It was a little over priced for what it was and not beach front. The place has a lot of potential if some time was put into it. Probably wouldn’t rent this place again.
