This is an incredibly deceiving advert. This apartment is actually a single room extension of hosts house joined to the hosts kitchen by a internal door. This wasn't what we were expecting and it made us very anxious and uncomfortable because we could hear hosts in their kitchen and we were scared to make any noise during our stay (including talking at a normal volume). We were on edge the entire time wondering if the hosts could hear us through the door. We expected a standalone apartment with private parking and an accessible garden area nearby- suitable for dogs (as its listed as pets allowed). The 'private parking' is actually the shared driveway outside hosts house right infront of their windows. Despite the listing advertising the apartment as having a garden view, the garden is not for the apartment, it's the hosts garden that the apartment does not have access to, this is somewhat deceiving as we were expecting private parking & a garden area. We booked this expecting a private apartment with parking & a garden that we would have exclusive use of, in contrast to a hotel where we'd have a shared parking/people around/reception area, mainly because our dogs are very scared of people and we needed the privacy to keep them calm. This isnt what we experienced. Our dogs were on edge most of the time whenever they heard the hosts/a noise through the wall and it made us really paranoid and unsettled the entire time. Whenever they reacted we felt pressured to make them be quiet immediately because we were inside someones home. We were hoping to have a relaxing private stay and not worry about other people whilst in our apartment. The property is listed as pets allowed, however we were charged an additional fee of £10 per dog for both dogs following our stay despite booking.com advertising this property as pets allowed in the 'popular facilities' section.

Lovely self contained annex in a great location, hosts were lovely and very helpful. Everything we needed for a 2 nights stay for a friends wedding in the village. Very quiet location.

The welcome from Ema was great. We got all the information we needed and she went above and beyond her role by giving us a lift into town for our evening meal. The place was spotlessly clean and the bed awesome! On a freezing December night the electric heaters did their job and warmed the room beautifully.

Attached to hosts property. We had an unsettled 4 month old and I was conscious they would hear her cries and keep them awake.

Ideal location for Southwell; lovely and clean and well appointed.
