About this cottage rental
Nestled in Morehead City, this charming cottage for $224 per night is a great option for your next break. This charming guest house sits behind a historical home in downtown Morehead City, NC. The main home was built on Shackleford Banks in 1885 and moved to its current location in 1901 by sail skiffs. The guest house was built between the 1920's and 1930's for the second owner of the main house's son. The property sits 2.5 blocks from a sandy public access to the intra coastal waterway! In the summer of 2017, the home was featured to be a part of the Home and Garden Television show called, Beachfront Bargain Hunt Renovation. Filming began in the fall of 2017 and the guest house was featured as well! The show aired on May 5th, 2018 on HGTV from 10pm to 11pm. You can find the show by downloading HGTV app and searching for Beachfront Bargain Hunt Renovation, Episode 308, titled “North Carolina Renewal.” The fully furnished guest house has a living room and an eat-in kitchen with stove, refrigerator, microwave, plates, cups, pots and pans and a coffee maker. The bedroom features a queen size bed and dresser and closet for you to store your belongings. The full bathroom offers a stand-up shower. Amenities include linens, iron/ironing board, Keurig coffee maker, WIFI, street parking. NO smoking and NO pets. Television in the living room includes an Amazon Fire-stick. Big Rock Landing as well as shopping, restaurants and nightlife are all within walking distance. Morehead City Ferry Service is located within 3 blocks providing boat service to Carrot Island, Bird Shoal, Sand Dollar Island, and Sugarloaf Island. Also Beaufort, voted "Coolest Small Town" is only 3 miles away. If you are lucky, you will see wild horses just off Front Street on Carrot Island. Historic guest house available for long term rent from mid October through mid April! Please inquire regarding discounted rental rates!

The cottage is cute and cozy, Easy to access the public beach, and close to many shops, restaurants, and other beaches. We will definitely stay here again. We became friends with the owner's dog. Our stay was short and sweet.

Spent 3 nights here. Comfortable bed and pillows. Had just what I needed. Did not cook but used stovetop to boil water. Worked great. Cottage is clean, cozy, and a very easy place to stay. Wifi good enough to do some work while there with not issues.
Easy location to things I wanted to do. Had an absolutely fabulous dinner at Parrott's on 11th which is just down the street. Great coffee/salad/service at Mug Shot.

It’s a cute little house a block away from the beach lovely little neighborhood where everyone is super friendly. This is a lovely place to stay.

quiet neighborhood. I appreciate the communication I had with the property owner. Check in and check out were very simple. Street parking, had no issues finding a spot. Short walk to public water and a somewhat longer walk to another public water access with a dock to fish from. I plan to stay at this location again in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The cottage is clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy! It is very conveniently located within walking distance of the Morehead City waterfront and a public beach access on the sound. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was large. The hostess has thought of everything to make your stay perfect and she is very kind! We definitely plan to stay again!

This a great little cottage for a couple. The owner Nicole is very attentive of her guests and the booklet of instructions is on point! I will definitely stay here again when in the Morehead City area

Cute, Clean, Cozy cottage in town about a 12 min walk to some excellent restaurants. Perfect for 2. I will definitely return in the future while visiting close by family. Owner is on premises however didn't get a chance to meet in person..I recommend this rental with a 5 star

It’s rare that a property exceeds my expectations, but that’s exactly how we felt about this precious cottage. It’s situated in the heart of the cutest neighborhood and we were able to walk to get coffee, pastries, and anything else we really needed. The waterfront is less than two blocks away, as well as beach access. The cottage itself was immaculate and stocked with everything that we needed for our long weekend. Can’t wait to come back to visit again!

The place was super cute and clean! Nicole, the owner was very responsive and helpful. She has a German Shepard puppy that was super cute and well-behaved - my friend and I would sit on the porch and play with her in the yard. If you are bothered by dogs just let Nicole know and she’ll keep her inside when you are coming and going. My friend slept in the bed and I was on the couch - it’s not a pull out but I found it plenty comfy.
There’s a public ocean access about 3 blocks away and a market on the corner that’s open during the summer. Would definitely stay here again!

The only caveat I can think of is that if you are vegan or on another restricted diet, the local restaurants may not be a good option....though, it may be possible to special order or omit certain ingredients. Fortunately, there's a refrigerator, stove, and utensils. So, it wasn't a problem. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

I stayed here for the month of February. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. It’s within walking distance to downtown. I loved walking around this neighborhood, with its quaint homes and water views. Communication with Nicole was easy and she was very accommodating and concerned with anything I needed. The cottage itself was quaint, cutely decorated and very clean. Bed was comfy. I can’t say enough positive things about my stay here.
