Very nice rooms, beautiful garden, short distances, very calm, perfect for vacation.

Property was good. Bedroom converted to a lounge during waking periods. Thus was not clear in the listing, or we missed it.

We spent a brilliant long weekend in the garden cottage, the house and grounds are beautiful and the cottage was well presented and very homely. This is a great location for exploring Rouen just 15 mins by foot from all the sights. The cottage is well equipped for a family and spotlessly clean. The Wi-Fi connection was very strong too. Parking is right outside the cottage and well secured - we travelled with bikes so this was perfect for us. Our hosts were always available for questions and keen to ensure we had all the information we needed to explore Rouen. We had such a lovely time, we plan to come back next year! Thank you

Private, comfortable, friendly owner

The building where were placed was not as pictured in the listing. Also one bedroom and a bath on ground floor and second bedroom and bath up winding stairs. Kitchen and bathrooms ill equiped. Beds uncomfortable. Power went out twice. Internet pretty much non-functional. Entry through gate ridiculously difficult. The host/owner left town the day after check-in and never returned.

The cottage is nice. However ,keep in mind that one of the bedrooms is on the ground floor, while the kitchen and the second bedroom are on the next floor up the stairs ( in France the second floor is called “first” floor. Also, it is pretty far from the old center. In the neighborhood of the apartment there are very few restaurants or stores. The owners, whom we actually never met (the key was given to us by the daughter) , did not provide any helpful info for orienting ourselves in the area of the apartment. Nevertheless we have to say that the apartment was clean and was equipped with all the necessities. Parking is a challenge if you have a larger car.

A very convenient place to stay especially if you're without a car as it's only a few minutes walk from the railway station. We visited Paris and Versailles from here as well as look around the city. Justine was very welcoming and we really enjoyed our week

We loved our stay at Justine's cottage. She was very welcoming and left us a snack to enjoy upon our arrival.
Her cottage (which is on the grounds next to her house) has two floors, with the master bedroom on the main floor with a bathroom (a nice feature is the shower and sink are separate from the toilet). Upstairs is a very functional dine-in kitchen. There's a sitting area too with sofas that convert to beds, so this sweet cottage can accommodate a family nicely.
What we appreciated most:
The location was perfect for us: walking distance to all the major attractions -- a 15 to 20 minute walk. As well, the train station is minutes away by foot, so we walked with our luggage to the station on the day of our departure very easily.
Quiet: this location is so quiet, we never heard any city noises despite the cottage's close proximity to everything. And although the owner lives in the grand house next door, we enjoyed a lot of privacy due to the cottage's garden surroundings.
Comfort: This was the cleanest VRBO we had during our stay in France. It's also nicely decorated! The beds and sofas were comfortable, and the small kitchen had most supplies to make light meals.
The only aspect we found inconvenient with our needs was the wifi was not working well at all, and we'd get interrupted in our connection constantly. Because we were there for one week -- we made due; yet if someone was staying longer and wifi is important, you should verify with Justine first.
Ultimately, we had such a good time in Rouen and we'd stay again at this charming cottage if it's available next time.

My niece and I recently stayed in this lovely cottage in Rouen. The location was excellent…a short walk to the train station and to the old city center. There is also a laundromat about two blocks away. Everything we needed at our fingertips! It was so nice to return after a day of touring to this quiet & quaint cottage, where we could eat our meals or have a glass of wine in the courtyard and enjoy a relaxing evening. Justine was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. I wish we could have stayed longer…This cottage is definitely on my return list!
