The house is situated in the peaceful area of Wick village on the River Stour opposite Christchurch quay. The historic town of Christchurch can be accessed by a pleasant river walk, 1.2 miles or by using the wick passenger ferry. (£1 for adults.) Christchurch has many shops, restaurant and pubs. Nearby, Southbourne Grove has also many pubs and restaurants. Along the river Stour there is a childrens' play area, crazy golf, Tucton tea rooms and boats for hire. The property is within walking distance of sandy Southbourne beach which has a promenade which stretches all the way to the busy sea side town of Bournemouth. Bournemouth can be also reached within a 10 minute drive. It is also in walking distance to the beautiful nature reserve Hengistbury Head with its cliff walks and sought after beach huts.The walking /cycling path to Hengistbury Head is minutes from the house.From Hengistbury Head a passenger ferry is available to Mudeford quay, famous for its fresh fish. Children will enjoy watersports and crabbing. The New Forest National Park is also 30mins away by car.
