The apartment is good and the location is excellent: across the street from a beach which is quite good when the northern winds stop. It is equipped with what you may need during your holiday stay. Useful information is provided in a folder.

There were a couple of issues which influenced our experience. First, there is a problem with dampness on the ground floor resulting in a specific musty smell in the lower kitchen cabinets. The flashing of the toilet and running water in the sinks is VERY noisy. The bedroom's only light comes form the living room. Therefore you end up feeling the price does not reflect what you actually get. Yes, it is across the street from the beach but the location still does not justify the price considering the problems in the apartment. We spent two weeks travelling in this part of Greece and we stayed in the same type of apartment everywhere. This was the most expensive and probably the least comfortable.

Beautiful place next to the beach, I would recommend it to everyone since some of the most beautiful beaches are 5-10min drive from the apartment. Also if you don't have transportation, the beach next to the house is quiet and perfect for swimmers.

Spacious and clean with all necessary equipment so as to prepare meals in the apartment. Fast and efficient internet.

The room cost 103 euros and this was advertised as room with a view to the sea. There was a partial view with no balcony an effect which was not specified during the booking process. When a room is advertised as room with a view to the sea, then someone paying over 100 euros a night is entitled to exactly that. The owner did not do anything about this apart from blaming booking.com, I guess this was the most convenient thing for him to do. This definitely affected our psychology, despite the good condition of the room I would never have booked it if I knew it had a small partial view.

A Greek holiday means a beach at your doorstep, good food nearby and meeting great people. The Summer House achieved that to perfection. If you're looking for seafront accommodation in Kythira then Agia Pelagia is the place and if you're going to Agia Pelagia the Summer House is definitely the right choice! It's located at a 2 minutes walk from the main Agia Pelagia village which means you don't get the noise and cars but instead a semi-private beach and amazing sunrises while still being very near to the nightlife. Our apartment was sparkling clean and equipped with absolutely everything one might need. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness for their guests is clearly obvious. The Karaminas family, Petros, Arlene, Vasilis, Mike, Paraskevi, George and Elenaki, were extraordinary hosts. Their attentiveness, politeness, hospitality and great warmth was inspirational and made us feel like their friends from the first minute. We are already planning to see them again very soon.
