A family oriented unit with extremely convenient access to Wells Beach is what this ground floor vacation spot has to offer. The home is directly across the street from beautiful Wells beach (Two houses down from Public way #2 leading right to the beach). This relaxing vacation spot is fully furnished and features a wide open floor plan. A large living area features a queen bed on an elevated portion of the floor plan and two queen sized sleep sofa to sleep a total of six in the unit. Large wraparound windows abound in the front living area. The living area features a large flat screen TV with cable and a Blue Ray DVD player (for vacation family movies). The house is also equipped with wifi for the kids or business (if you just can't get completely away). A large completely remodeled kitchen area for family meals is very convenient, The kitchen comes fully equipped with Stove, Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster, granite countertops and all the eating and cooking utensils you could ever need. The bathroom was completely renovated and features tile floor and a stand up shower with matching decorative tile. The outside of the unit has as many amenities as the inside. A large fenced in yard (Rare so close to the beach) provides the kids a place to run/play off that vacation energy and the adults a nice place to sit and relax. A grill is available for summer cookouts as well. A bonus outside shower is also available to wash off the beach sand. There is convenient, no hassle off street parking for two cars. The home is in walking distance of ice cream/lunch/breakfast at Forbes restaurant, shops and the arcade (for the kids). This unit is one of multiple units within the home. The opportunity exists for large/multiple families wishing to vacation together to rent side by side units or upper and lower units. My parents stayed to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. They loved it and how close they were to the beach. On arrival they did find a photo had fallen and broken-cleaned up the glass-and wanted me to let you know. Thanks for this wonderful place at the beach!

After the first night when we couldn’t use the bathroom due to main line problems, everything else was pretty nice. We had to stay away from the unit until plumbing and cleaning services were done, but the location offered things to do.

It is a large studio with no separate bedrooms (no doors between kitchen, living room and area with the bed).
Very close to the street. Distance from the bed to the main road where cars go is literally 6 feet. It is basement and smells like basement. You sleep on the level where you can see tires of going cars. There is no much traffic in the night though and traffic noice is occasional and tolerable.
There was no (obvious) information on Expedia that we need to bring our own bed sheets. Owner had extra sets and problem was solved easily. To be fair: I asked my neighbors about bed sheets and they knew about need to bring their own bed sets because they ordered through VRBO.
Beach is really close! Restaurants are close as well.
Laundry is for many families and sometimes there is a waiting line for that. Overall positive experience.

We've stayed at this location in the past and liked it, so we went back this year. The place was clean, the beach is close, the neighbors are so pleasant, and Dave is a very responsive owner. We will go back again!

The space is small and cramped, the floors were dirty, bed was by a window that was directly on the street and was almost subterranean, was unable to operate the tv, there were no games/cards/etc to use since the tv didnt work. Long story short it was a free place to stay since was already paid for and my family members decided they'd rather pay to stay at a hotel away from the beach than stay there. I guess the location itself is great but the whole setup was odd. Property manager was v responsive.

Was a last minute deal to a section of Maine i had never been too. The host's were professional and accompanied us very well. This was our first time with Vrbo and the reviews were spot on with our experience. Also note: this property EXCEEDED what the pictures showed. We intend to rent again.

As advertised, this is a good place to stay across the street from the beach. We cooked most of our meals and had all the kitchen utensils needed. The place was clean and neat. We got prompt responses from the owner to our questions. The only minimal downside was that walls were thin, so we heard others' noise after we went to bed early, and no doubt they heard us when we got up early. We had a wonderful time, and were glad we stayed there.

Excellent location, made it convenient to go back and forth to beach with toddler. Easy drive to grocery store and many local attractions. Unit was as described. Thanks for a great stay!

Absolutely love how close it was to the beach and shops. The seating area just outside our doorway gave us a great place to meet and visit with the other renters/neighbors every time they went by.

The rental was so close to the beach…went everyday! Everyone was friendly in and around the rental. Communication was excellent! All items needed for cooking were included. The pullout couches were great for the kids. It was exactly what we needed to enjoy the beach without worrying about parking! Thanks so much! Will be back.

First year renting in this area, worked out great.
Conveniently located across the street from the beach. Walking distance to shops, arcade, and cafe. It was a little small for us but we made it work with air mattresses. It was a great vacation.

Great location and amenities
We stayed here for a week and the unit was perfect. It has a little patio to enjoy coffee before the beach. Full kitchen with all the appliances you need. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions. Excellent stay!

Great place so close to the beach
Great little place the parking was a challenge. Right across from public access to the beach. All cabinets are full in the kitchen so there is nowhere to put any food you buy besides the refrigerator. Can get noisy depending on who is upstairs from you. But all in all it was fine. Would recommend.

The size and layout of the property was perfect for us. All the other tenants were friendly which was nice because we saw them at the beach and at the rental. We had everything we needed and have decided to ge back for sure!

David's place was a cool respite when the beach got hot! We enjoyed biking back and forth and the quick, easy beach access. We also enjoyed sharing the back yard with our neighbors. All around a wonderful place to stay!!

The apartment was very clean and the kitchen had everything that we needed and then some. The rental is literally a 1 minute walk to the beach. At night and sitting outside by the rental I could hear the surf. Check-in and out was very simple and as stated in the instructions. I would highly recommend this property.
The only downside to the apartment is the walls are very thin. We could very easily hear the folks in the next apartment. They were speaking at normal voice level and it was as if they were in the same room as us.

Lovely ocean getaway
We really liked staying here. Comfortable bed and pullout couches (American Leather couches--pretty much the only comfy pullouts!). Right across the street from the beach. Nice yard to picnic in. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. My kid liked the big TV! We would definitely stay here again!

Labor Day Weekend Getaway
This is a cute little studio just the right size for a couple or a family with small children. The access to the beach is really fabulous...so close. It was lovely to be able to get away for an affordable long weekend. I would have liked to have known in advance that bed linens and bath towels were not supplied. We had to go out to supply them ourselves. Hand towels and dish towels were available as well as a well stocked kitchen. David was right there with an answer to our query regarding TV procedures. We would stay at this cottage again for a short get away.

short walk to the beach, shops & casual food spots
we had the perfect stay here! it was exactly as described and shown in the photos. it was just two of us, so plenty of space. you really couldn't get any closer to the beach, especially for the price. plus, there's lots of little spots to check out in perkins cove for a quick bite, souvenir shopping, candy shopping and an arcade. and there's so many good restaurants within a 10min drive with plenty of outdoor space that's covered and with heat lamps so great options during covid times. if someone stays in the place above it can be a little loud with people walking around, but anyone who lives in a big city will understand you can't control loud walkers or running kids above you, so it wasn't that big of a deal to us. some reviews talk about the parking space not fitting two cars. it's a tight squeeze, but it can definitely fit two if you need it, one in front of the other, bumper to bumper. we also ran into the owners who happened to be in the area and they were very nice. overall, great experience!

Missing Maine Already!
This unit is a great place to stay! Very clean and the location can not be beat, so close to the ocean. Also, conveniently located near Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, and other Maine attractions. David the owner is awesome to work with too. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing!
The house was great! Right across from the beach making it so easy to go back and forth as we pleased. The house had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and I loved how great the water pressure was in the shower. Lots of space in the shared backyard too to have a cookout and relax after the beach. Or a quick walk or fast drive to some awesome seafood restaurants and shops. Will definitely be back in Wells next year.

Absolutely adorable. Perfect location.
We loved staying here and being a 2 minute walk from the beach. Super cute perfect size and location. Our family of 4 and 2 being 6 year old twins we felt comfortable and had plenty of space. Will definitely be back next year

unbelievable location!
You can't do any better for the price. Insulation in home is not good, so you do hear other guests in the surrounding units. TV is a nightmare (unless you are as smart as a "smart TV)" A great value!
