You really don't need a car and in fact parking is very competitive. The DC government has an on-line system for owners to request guest parking passes. It is quite cumbersome so bringing a car is discouraged but if you need the parking pass it is available for an extra fee. In the middle of Washington's most trendy neighborhood. You can walk to restaurants, bars, health clubs, supermarkets, public transportation, and boutique shops. Enjoy the vibrancy of this exciting and historic neighborhood within an easy walk or metro ride to the white house and all major monuments.

The apartment was even nicer than what we expected based on the photos. We like the modern style and enjoyed the many thoughtful touches. The neighborhood is lovely and close to restaurants the metro with easy access to the mall. Don’t plan on sleeping late—the folks upstairs are up early. Wasn’t a problem for us, but something to be aware of to set your expectations. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is as described in the listing. I did not see this in the listing so here is everything i found. There is a pull out bed in the living eoom so 4 people could stay here. All the appliances in the apartment worked without any problems. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and was more than comfortable for us. The bath tub could use an anti slip mat in it but everything else is as descrbed. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is within easy walking distance to three grocery stores and several really good restaurants. We used the Metro for our trip and walking to and from the station even at night was not a problem. I would recommend staying here and if we return to Washington I will see if this is still available so we could stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights and were completely comfortable in this charming spot. I used the sofa bed and found it firm but comfortable. Location is fantastic with excellent restaurants and shops within easy walking distance and all the sights of the Mall a good longer walk away. Host Dara was responsive and kind. Perfect!!!

My husband and I came for a busy Memorial Werkend in DC. The place was easy to find, instructions and suggestions were spot on. Great neighborhood with lots of families. Some of the best restaurants in DC are on the adjacent street (14th St). We rode the metro everywhere, so the convenience of the metro station being two blocks away was perfect. Hosts were great, and the house had everything we needed - including umbrellas that we forgot about on our way to a rainy Memorial Day Parade. Overall fantastic experience. Will definitely try to book again when we return the next time!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The apartment is comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The neighborhood is exactly as advertised; trendy with a beautiful, old-world charm, convenient to public transporation and restaurants, quiet, and safe. The owner is accessible and responsive. We would definitely be pleased to be welcomed again, as guest in the future.

First time in DC did not disappoint. This unit is near Logan Circle and convenient to shops, bars and restaurants. The nearby U Street Metro stop made getting to all the sights a breeze.

Good neighborhood. On street parking couldn’t be more convenient. Located in a great location with an easy walk to restaurants and coffee shops. Good living space with modern amenities.

Had a great time in DC last week, and this was a great home base. Very close to U St Metro (if you exit the Metro station by walking in the same direction as trains heading north, onto 13th St.). Note that the Metro Yellow line is closed til May 2023, but the green line still gets you there. The apartment is great, although narrow and fairly steep steps to get down to basement level - so would not recommend for elderly or physically impaired. The review comments about hearing noise from upstairs are very true, but this did not bother us. Dara was very responsive, although we didn't need much during our stay. Everything is largely provided and as stated in the description. Only suggestions for improvements are very minor: extension cord so people can sit on couch with a device plugged in, and a second bedside table and a second lamp in the bedroom (we just pulled a chair in from the dining area bc we didn't really sit there, and guests could also bring a book light for the dark side of the bed, if you want to read). Overall, a great place to stay in DC!

This is a great little property in the middle of everything. Easy access to all major public transportation but we ended up either walking or driving everywhere. Needed a parking pass but the owner was quick to get it to us and we actually had no problem at all finding parking when we needed it. Half of the time there were spaces right in front of the door. Lots of good restaurants/shops nearby Definitely worth staying here.

Awesome place! Street parking. Literally five minutes to a metro station and about a 10 min ride to all the "touristy" spots in D.C. We stayed for almost a week. Everything we needed was provided. The listing was completely accurate. I felt safe walking this neighborhood with 2 young kids. Highly recommend!

The host was very responsive. There are many very good restaurants within a short walk And there is a Walgreens and Trader Joe’s just down the street. There is also easy access to the metro. Wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful apartment for 2-3 people. One caution is that it is a basement “garden”apartment so you have to go down 5-6 narrow steps to enter. Location is excellent. Easy walk to the U street metro stop. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by on 14th St. We made a stop at Trader Joe’s for groceries. Parking was pretty easy with the DC visitor permit system. Dara helped manage that and even printed us a permit when we didn’t have access to a printer. We were able to park within a block even on a busy Friday night for the 14th St restaurants. The metro was so convenient the car sat for most of our visit. The apartment has a large kitchen/living/dining area in the front. Our teenage daughter used the pull-out couch for her bed. Kitchen was really nice. Could use a few more cups/glasses, oven mitts, and dish towels, but easily made due. Just an extra dishwasher load or two. Dining area was perfect for three people. Back of the apartment is a large bedroom and there is a bathroom with tub/shower. If you are over 6’ tall, the shower might be a little short, but at 5’9” it was great for me. Dara was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again when visiting DC.

Great neighborhood. At 6a.m. every day the next floor up over the BR is loud w/ hard shoes on hardwood floors OK if you want to be up at 6 a.m. Sofa pullout is comfy but sofa itself hard to sit on - cushions slide. Bed was comfortable. Good shower. We had parking problems but got them straightened out w/ much help from VRBO owner's. Nice owners. good spot. Loud shoes.

Everything was as expected, good location, close to metro, good restaurants near by. Only issue was the limited amount of dishes and cooking items in kitchen. It worked for us because we were with other people and at out except for breakfast. But others might want a little more available.
