Great location, very comfortable accommodation and close to the centre of town. I'd be happy to stay there again.
Nothing.

The bed was soft and comfortable. A fire had been lit and was very welcome
Somewhere to put suitcases other than the floor

It was comfortable & cosy. It gave us the feel of what it once was before.

there’s is nothing to not like!!!

Massive bed (albeit a little soft for me ) afternoon sun in the bathroom , with the door open , enjoying the bath .tastefully decorated to enhance the history of the place .

Absolutely spotless, immaculate presentation and cleanliness.
great amount of space and really close to all the things we wanted to see in Castlemaine.
Really easy to find and access.
The bed seems to be two smaller mattresses fitted together which was a little uncomfortable in the middle.

This property was perfect for a couple. It was centrally located, easy walk to the main street of Castlemaine. The bedroom, bathroom and living area was spacious and clean. With the fireplace in the living area it was a perfect couples retreat for a few days.
nothing it was all good

The proximity to the town centre was good.
This place is far too rustic to be described as charming. There were cockroaches in the bedroom, the floor was wet in the living area with water leaking from the window frame. The bathroom looks great in the photos however it is very cold with no heating other than an overhead heatlamp with one lamp not functioning. There were only two bath towels provided that had to be used over two days with no way of drying them in between times. The shower is very compact, and the pedestal basin was just plain grotty. The power points were plentiful but not in a useful position. Other reviews comment on the great bed, yes the mattress is comfortable, but there is no electric blanket and the pillows are dreadful. The A/C in the bedroom was old and ridiculously loud. The owner avoided any contact with us. The kitchen was very basic. The whole place was gloomy and dark and needed lights on at all times. Could not be more disappointed given the glowing reviews on this and other sites. I can't believe they're talking about the same place. Very poor value for money.

A very atmospheric cottage. Clean and comfortable. Would be lovely to stay for a few days.

Nice and pleasant atmosphere
Good location
Everything else:
Stay ruined by absurd $40 impost if you wish to light wood heater.
Overly soft bed matched by rock hard pillows to guarantee restless night and sore back in the morning.

The accommodation was perfect for what we needed and is in a brilliant location near the centre of town. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, it was an enjoyable experience! The cottage suits a couple looking to explore the area right down to the ground.
No complaints whatsoever!

Comfortable, spacious cottage with well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Close to everything. Quiet.
We stayed 4 nights and would very happily return.
We didn't know that the entry was from Campbell Street, rather than the Hargraves Street address, so it was a bit tricky finding it (the main house is called Green Gables). Our host saw us driving around looking for the entrance and rang us. Much appreciated (though advance notice would have been useful :-) )
In such a spacious bathroom, more room could have been allowed for the shower (thinking of us older folks).

Everything was fabulous. If I could suggest one thing it would be a candle and bath salts for the tub that would have been amazing!

The property was everything it said it was. The location was great walking distance to shops and restaurants. If we’re ever that way again we would definitely book again.
