Lovely cottage where everything has been thought of. Unique and close to town. Beautiful scenery

We stayed in Jessie’s Cottage, it was cosy and very comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated the cooking facilities and the little extras such as herbs and spices, pod coffee and plenty of crockery etc. It was a relaxing setting on a farm with a lovely view but we were still close enough to walk into town.

Being on a farm in an old little cottage.
shower was amazing and hosts were great !
Kids games may need an update and having cutlery/ crockery for children would have been handy.

We have just experienced two of the most perfect nights stays in Jessies Cottage of Daisy Bank Cottages. We chose Daisy Bank wanting to be close to the township of Richmond to experience what the historic town had to offer. We werent disappointed. We took the 3 minute drive from the town center to Daisy Bank where We were greated by two of the most beautiful and friendly dogs Pip and Charlie before being introduced to their owner and host Hana. Our welcome by Hana was nothing shy of friendly overwhelmingly warm hospitality and couldnt be more lovelier person to introduce us to this magnificent Cottage. On entry into the cottages theres a fabulous picket fence where just like you see in the movies a farm gate opens into the grounds of your accomodation. Stunning cottage gardens surround the grounds which were lovely and admired each morning whilst drinking our coffee as the sun glistened over them. The cottage is beautifully presented with a stunning kitchen with everything needed to cook a home meal which we did on both nights of our stay. Oven, stove top, full draw of utensils, cooking pots pans, full fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kitchen table and chairs as well as a lovely welshdresser adorned with willow patterened plates - total dream. The living area was cosy and very comfortable with a writing desk, large lounge, arm chair digital TV and coffee table, not to mention the magnificent pot belly fire place which kept us lovely and warm on the chilly nights. The bathroom is beautiful and bright with a shower and lovely spa perfect for soaking in after a day of exploring. Upstairs boasts a very attractive comfortable kingsize bed with beautiful windows overlooking the property and vista of the hills. The only issue we had was by our own accord, with our stay was it wasnt long enough! We adored every minue of the magical and serene feeling Daisy Bank Cottages provided and would not hesitate in recommending to any of our friends or family visiting Tasmania.
That we only booked 2 nights! We wished we stayed longer!

A final stop on our tour. A beautiful cottage, well positioned near Richmond. It is fully self contained and ready for a get away. Very comfortable beds, fully set fire (not required by us). Very clean. Thank you to Hana and her family.
We had to leave so quickly.

The location was brilliant; not far from Hobart airport but not in Hobart itself. Perfectly located for wineries around Ricmond area. The views were spectacular across farmland & surrounding area which was instantly relaxing. The breakfast basket was possibly the best we've had in our 5 different trips to Tasmania. Delicious. We were encouraged to take a wander on the farm, so we did & were consequently accompanied by one of the friendly dogs. The views were stunning & we even saw an echidna. The cottage was well stocked & very comfortable. We'd happily stay at Daisy Banks again.
It was very dark on the night we arrived & unfortunately the outside light wasn't left on as promised. Added to that my interpretation of a cottage is as a single residence in an independant building, whereas Daisy Banks is 2 residences in one building. This bit of confusion at the start did not stop us from being very happy with our time there though & the owner was lovely.

Relaxing, warm, full facilities. Very friendly dogs who were happy to join us for a wander around the 650 acre property. Lovely views ,quiet and welcoming. Beautiful Richmond has so much to offer.
We were only able to stay 2 nights and wish we had booked for a week. (maybe next time)

Fantastic location, friendly host and super cute dogs.

Great views, peaceful and nice if you’re after some time off. Clean, tidy and cute. Dogs were friendly. Not a far walk into the town of Richmond, which was a lovely place.
There’s nothing, my only suggestion would be to have a few sign posts on the farm itself, I wasn’t really sure if I should go through gates or if I was on the right track (literally)
