In addition to bedrooms there is a bunkhouse with two double + twin futon bunks! All sofas (5) pullout into full/queen beds. Garage converted to kid's pirate Playroom has 3 full w/twin bunk beds! If your group wants to spread out more, check listing 134089 which includes both this property and Ariel's Grotto which is the adjacent property! Large sand/pebble beach and property overlooks the mountains of Acadia National Park. Huge deck facing view and overlooks the lawn for outdoor activities! MINUTES to Acadia National Park and the Island of Mount Desert. Close to Golf Courses. The beach is clear of large rocks and is sandy, a hard find on the rocky coast of Maine! Couple this with the mountain views and the Atlantic ocean and you will never want to leave. This is Maine Seaside living at its best. Dig your toes in the sand, tip you head towards the sun and exhale earned it! There is an adjacent property you can also rent for larger groups! Ask! I must go back to the sea again...: You will want to return year after year to this very special spot. There are a lot of rentals to choose from, but none like this. The house, grounds and beach so close to Acadia and overlooking the mountains of Acadia combined with the deep water frontage make this a one of a kind vacation spot.

My husband and I stayed in this property with our 2 young kids and their grandparents. It was a great choice for us. While the house was not as luxurious as one might expect for the price point at the time of rental, it had what we needed and the ocean front location is spectacular with its conveniently short ride to Bar Harbor and Acadia. The beach front is one of the most interesting beaches I have ever seen. The variety of rocks and shells is amazing and at low tide you can explore quite a ways. It is not muddy at all, like some beaches in Maine. The sand is not the kind you can make sandcastles with (more like tiny shells/rocks) with larger rocks that the kids had fun climbing around on. We ended up not getting in the ocean at all, but I would recommend water shoes if you want to explore the water. The kids loved playing on the swingset playground with a view of Cadiallac Mountain! As a family we took advantage of the huge lawn playing bocce, foxtail, and catch. Those not up for playing relaxed on the spacious deck, which had plenty of seating with a view of the ocean, which is mere steps away. We had some rain, which was not a problem because our kids made forts in the "pirate room", a converted garage filled with bunks where the kids can play. The little bunk house shed was very clean and includes 2 bunks (4 beds) and a TV with a DVD player and ceiling fan. We used this space a lot and sometimes slept there. Bring keurig pods if you are a coffee drinker as that is the type of coffee maker they have. The beds were comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was wonderful! When we initially arrived, the place was obviously very well cleaned because of the smell of cleaning solution. Unfortunately, some people in our party were sensitive to strong smells. We just opened the doors and aired it out and it dissipated by the end of the day. In pandemic times, I personally was a bit comforted by the smell, but those that get headaches with strong smells may want to alert the owners ahead of time to use a different solution. I had a couple of questions throughout our stay and Debbie replied promptly every time, going out of her way to make sure we were comfortable in the house. Incredibly responsive and helpful!
