We loved staying in this sweet historical home! The home was well appointed with all the conveniences of home (coffee and snacks!), and was very clean. The historic neighborhood felt safe and was quiet. Parking is street parking but we never had an issue finding a spot on one of the nearby streets. Owners were very communicative and checked in throughout our stay to see if we needed anything.would definitely stay here again!

Everything about this house, from furniture to small details like a set of spices in the kitchen, is top quality and style. It goes above and beyond hosting for profit - there is a sense of love and care that i have only seen in houses where people actually live. It felt like staying at a dear friend or relative's place, who love their house and love having guests.

We were in town for an event at the convention center. The home was close enough to walk in the mornings, but take an Uber or Lyft during the night. Street parking, never had to park more than 2 blocks from the home. Super cute fences in back yard. Open concept home with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

The house worked out well for us. It was clean, open concept. It had a lot of amenities. Just enough room for four adults and one 14 month old. There was a high chair, infant bathing tub, playpen bed, just what we needed for our grandson. Parking was on the street. It took a little effort to find overnight parking but we managed each night. We had to Uber to move around to the hotel areas by the waterfront as parking there was expensive. Overall a very nice stay.

The property and owner/management are great! The house was very clean and well furnished. The owner/manager was very responsive to texts. We were to checkout on the day tropical storm Hilary arrived and they were so kind to let us stay into the evening until time to catch our flight. They even offered to stay an extra night if our flight got canceled.
Home is super close to Gaslamp & Petco park and easy FWY access.
The only negative is the homelessness around the neighborhood.

The hosts for this listing were excellent. Very responsive and helpful. For example, arrival was easy except the door code hadn’t been changed yet so we couldn’t open the door. The host was super responsive though and the situation was resolved in minutes.
Interior of house was great. Backyard was perfect. There were four of us total and space felt very comfortable.
Location was about a 15-20 minute walk to Petco, though not through the greatest neighborhood.
Great stay!

The property was lovely. Very clean. Easy access to everything. Parking was a bit of a challenge but there was a lot going on in the area that weekend. Never had to park more than a few blocks away. Hosts were very attentive and quick to respond when we had questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this home. It had everything we needed - bedding, towels (including beach towels) and even soap/shampoo/conditioner like at a hotel. I appreciated the tasteful decor, and the cleaniness of the home. The kitchen is well-stocked and easy to cook in. The location of this home is great. It's right off the highway, and close to supermarkets, restaurants, beaches etc. We were always able to find parking within the block, and sometimes right in front of the home. The property managers were attentive and available to answer questions, and they responded quickly when we realized the air mattress didn't work. Overall, I was so happy our family could stay here and we look forward to returning here!

The house is super cute, exactly as described in the listing. We didn't have a car - we walked or uber'd everywhere. It's about a mile from the main downtown/Gaslamp district, walking distance from the Convention Center, baseball stadium, the downtown waterfront, and all the Gaslamp restaurants and bars. A few blocks away there's homeless encampments on all the bridges but no one bothered us, they're just living there.

We made a pit stop to San Diego on our way home from Hawaii. Unfortunately, San Diego has more $5,000 people on the streets homeless plus others in shelters. This home was clean and had all that our family needed however our walk to Petco Park including two overpasses that we had to cross with likely more than 40 homeless and the walk back to VRBO property was somewhat intimidating in the dark. My boys are 21,19 and 14. No one approached us during our stay. There is a Walmart neighborhood market right down the road. It is convenient to the interstate and airport as well. Home had cable and a great washer / dryer unit to include an adorable backyard set up.

Clean and thoughtful home. Nice place to stay. We have 3 kids under 8 who loved the grassy area in the backyard. I wish one bed was a king but the queen was okay! Also a tv in one bedroom would be a lovely perk for the kids and late night tv watchers like myself.
Location had its pro and cons. Con was parking: it was hard to not have your very expensive vehicle not in eyes sight at night/overnight. The parking is first come first serve but most of San Diego is or you must pay to park elsewhere like hotels. If you don’t care about parking don’t worry. The farthest we had to park was a block away.
I also was sad to see the homeless encampments about 2 blocks west of the property. Across the bridges of the highway. This is not the owners fault obviously but it’s sad and unfortunate to see. We didn’t hear anything at night outside from the homeless or neighbors.
I loved the historical vibe of the home and the neighborhood. I loved the cleanliness. I loved the coffee maker. No oven was kind of weird but there is a grill out back. It was nice to come home to no laundry with the use of the washer and dryer. It was a quiet neighborhood too. Which I love.
The managers were very responsive and nice. Thank you!

Place was great, well stocked, and comfortable. Everything I expected and more. Communication with host was easy and they were friendly. I would highly recommend and would stay there again.

Overall this is a wonderful and very comfortable home. The biggest concerns we had were the lack of parking, we have small children so this posed a bit of a challenge. Also while the home is in a great location/neighborhood, it was quite noisy. A lot of dogs barking, and urban city noises (sirens, loud music etc.). Not negatives just things to be aware of. My family really enjoyed our time here and it was perfect for me as I had to be downtown for a work conference.

Perfect 2 bedroom place. Nice shower, kitchen, TV room, laundry. Really liked this house. Well done! And nice secluded little back yard. It was pretty. Would rent again for the same price. Safe for sure but some homeless people in tents on nearby streets. Parking not the worst but had to search a bit. Neat and clean

This charming house was perfect for my stay with family. Very clean and all necessities were provided as if I was staying in my own home. Although, it rained most of my stay, I loved the backyard which provided privacy and room for kids to run around or adults to lounge. I would stay here again!

Nice home for our duo and ideally located in a residential neighborhood near everything we wanted to see in San Diego.

This is a comfortable, clean and cozy little house. It met our needs and we would rent it again if we were back in San Diego.

This a hideaway that’s cozy , clean, and it shows love…..the neighborhood is quaint with lots in interesting homes…. The Montezuma home which is open to the public Thursday -Sunday is just blocks away… so interesting! You will enjoy your stay!!

Besides my family not having an assigned parking, some days we had to park a few blocks down but it manageable. And for the price, we still had a wonderful stay in this rental. It was raining the weekend we were there but the rental made it cozy and warm and perfect enough for our family of 6.

Great spot to enjoy with a family. I stayed with my wife, mother in law, and toddler. The place is tastefully done and the owners went the extra mile to have all the bells and whistles available.
This location was a perfect stay for us. Future renters should mindful that there is no designated parking and the surrounding street parking can be challenging. We didn't mind that and would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful house
Thus property was absolutely immaculate and just perfect for us and our 11 year old granddaughter. Parking was a little difficult at times and had to park several blocks away—maybe we’re just not use to city life. Highly recommend

Great location
The home was the perfect size for our family of 4 and in a great location. It was an easy walk to downtown. We also to a nearby Mexican restaurant and to the Walmart Neighborhood market. Parking (free) was on the street, which was initially a bit of a worry, but it wasn't difficult to find something nearby.

The house was very clean and stocked with pretty much any amenity you would need. The yard was great for our kids (4&5) and we were located within 10 minutes of all the things we wanted to do. We spent every night out on the deck and it was so peaceful. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was very clean and really met all our needs. It was close to downtown and the 5 (which we knew), but we were not bothered by excessive traffic noise and our neighbors were very quiet. Thank you for a good experience.

Home Away From Home
This was the second time I've stayed at Newly Remodeled Urban Oasis and will definitely keep in mind for next time. Cute home, nice floor plan has the bedrooms separated for privacy, washer and dryer makes it so convenient and the location to downtown SD is awesome!
Communication with the owner was great and they kept in touch with us via email and text before arriving, during our stay and after checkout. Highly recommended this property and business!

We loved that this property was often only one or two I-5 exit away from many of the attractions we wanted to visit: Balboa Park, the zoo, Little Italy and great restaurants. The freeway entrance was 3 blocks from the house. So convenient! The house itself was spacious for the 2 of us and well equipped. The area was quiet as was the house. Parking could be a challenge, but we always found a place within a block. The back deck has table and seating and the yard has trees and other greenery. Our host responded immediately to our perceived problem with deck access.
