Railroad Cottage in Downtown, Salida, Co STR 0472 Perfect for you to unwind and enjoy the sights and activities Salida has to offer. Newly renovated 1900 railroad boarding house with exposed brick, new kitchen, spacious deck & brick patio with a creative mix of contemporary and historic finishes. Need to escape the crowds? No need to drive a car once you are here! Just a couple blocks from Salida's historic downtown, this unit is within walking distance of parks, shopping, restaurants, bars, Salida Steam Plant Theater and Event Center, and Arkansas River access. Salida businesses have been approved by the CDPH and have appropriate distancing in place. Most dining and shopping locations have takeout and curbside pickup available. The Railroad Cottage is a quick 20 minutes ride to the Monarch Ski Resort with incredible downhill skiing, cat skiing, tubing, a sunny lodge, and ski school for the kids. At the end of a snowy day or day on the river, there is no better place to warm up than one of the few hot spring resorts in the area and finish the evening with a warm delicious dinner and glass of wine at one of the many restaurants just minutes away. The Cottage is immaculately cleaned and disinfected using CDC and Chaffee County guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Our cottage allows you to leave all your worries behind and spend all of your energy playing in one of the top destinations in the United States! RailRoad Cottage offers: ~ Cozy living and dining area ~ Clean and Bright full bath with fluffy towels ~ 2 bedrooms with a Queen bed and a trundle bed (2 twins) ~ Dining or game table for 4-6 guests ~ WiFi and Cable TV ~ Lovely, private backyard and deck with gas grill ~ Townie Bikes for 2 available for your enjoyment with locks, floor pump, and tools for adjusting saddles ~ Stackable Washer & Dryer This home is "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels, and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided as well as TP, trash bags, coffee, and filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, napkins, and toiletries. We stock enough supplies to get you started, but if you have an extended stay you may need to purchase additional supplies. ******you agree to Accidental Damage Protection coverage up to $500 per reservation for accidental damage to the property. ~Discover, Visa, or MC accepted for payments. ~Acceptance of the terms of the Rental Agreement and all Rental Policies is required at the time of reservation. ~Cleaning Fee is $95 *Send us an email inquiry if you have questions, we would be happy to hear from you! **This home is rented for personal vacation use only, any other use including large gatherings or parties is not allowed. Renters must abide by all rental terms and policies, quiet hours, as well as all local applicable property covenants, restrictions, regulations, and laws. Any evidence of smoking, use of firearms, driving ATV's other than in the driveway as access only, unapproved over-occupancy or pets, unauthorized use of property grounds, damage resulting from a violation of rental policies, and/or excessive mess may result in charges up to $1000.00 to the Guest's credit card on file, as authorized by Guest's approval of the terms of the Rental Agreement. Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee and 50% refund for cancelations 14 days prior. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.**

We had a great time staying in the Railroad Cottage. Perfect blend of 120 year old touches with modern updates. Looking forward to staying there again!

We really enjoyed the duplex. It was clean, new appliances, grill, great location, well-stocked! Everything was new and nice in a Victorian setting!

This was my second stay here though with a different group of people. Such a great accommodation and location! Having the outside backyard is wonderful. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

This property is beautifully maintained, extremely clean and was accurately represented in the listing. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the comfort and location of this adorable little Railroad Cottage. I won’t stay anywhere else when I hopefully return next year.

Giving this a 3 star because when we arrived it hadn't been cleaned at all. We wanted to enjoy our honeymoon but the first evening we spent disinfecting and doing laundry. One of the bikes had a flat tire. The ceiling fans were so dusty we couldn't turn them on until we dusted and there was no AC (which is stated in listing). The wifi was very spotty and the light in twin bedroom didn't work. The next afternoon the cleaner came into the bnb without knocking though we were in the middle of watching a movie. Our car was obviously parked in front and the tv was on but she still came right on in and looked around. I'm sure this isn't usually the case but we felt like the amount of miscommunication with the cleaner, the disruptions, and lack of making sure everything was ready proved to not be a professional vrbo experience. For the price I think the owners need to pay more attention. The owners did refund us the cleaning fee and tried to help us fix the bike but this was the worst experience with a vrbo we have had. I am a cleaner and I know the most important thing is to communicate and check with owners every time I'm supposed to clean to make sure guests have the experience they are paying for. Could be a great place but the standard needs to be raised to earn a 5 star review.

I stayed at Courtney's place for the weekend with my wife and infant son. It's a beautiful home that has been nicely renovated and is perfectly located in town. We could easily pop back home to grab anything needed for the little guy. We would happily stay here again.

My family of 4 enjoyed our stay very much. The house is comfortable, however there is so much to do in Salida we didn't spend too much time there. We were able to walk everywhere in town we wanted to go. Definitely go whitewater rafting at Independent Whitewater!

Salida sweet
Clean and great location. We had a fun little stay and wish it could have been a day or two more. My husband and daughter took the bikes out for a little ride around town and ran in to some issues, but one call to Jeff and Courtney and we had a solution. They were bummed that bikes were out of commission for the rest of our time, but appreciated the responsiveness. We loved the patio and fresh air! Cottage was within walking distance to everthing we were interested in doing....and even found some things we werent planning on. Hot springs aren't far and a fun little side trip, too. We will definitely check this out again if in Salida and would definitely recommend to friends.

Clean and close
The property was spotless. It was very close to town; walking distance to everything; and I was pretty blown away when I went to cook dinner and saw that they had everything I needed. Even sharp knives. I'm a foodie and I cook and so it was nice to be able to host friends outside without any fuss.
