Everything the owner describes about this house is 100% accurate!! Very short walk to the beach. Owner was so very kind enough to allow us to use his boards, chairs, etc. This was our very first time to Amelia Island and we loved it! We will definitely be back and will stay here again!!

Easy walk to the beach! Beach access is so close. Adults and kids loved having all the beach boards and activities to take to play in the water. Communication with owner was great. He was a nice and friendly guy who took care of whatever we needed. Would stay again.
House is a bit dated but clean. Mostly puzzles in the game closet. Kitchen was stocked well!

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay at Amelia Island. The owner was extremely friendly and always available to answer questions. This house was one of the cleanest properties we have stayed in, I noticed it as soon as we walked in the door. It is also in an excellent location, with a very “private beach”, and super short, easy walk to the beach. It was also fun to see the bunnies in the sand dunes when we went for a walk on the beach in the mornings. We would highly recommend this property and Amelia Island to anyone!!

My husband and I took our four little boys to Amelia Island and chose this house because of the nice yard and close proximity to the beach. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our two oldest boys (ages 8 and 6) LOVED finding anole lizards. The beach was so spacious with not a lot of other people at this beach access and the walk wasn’t long (5 mins with kids). There were many shells to pick up.
The house was very close to grocery stores and restaurants (5 mins). The Walmart is a regular Walmart though. Not super center. So plan to get what you can at Walmart and your produce at Publix.
We loved visiting Fort Clinch State Park. We went a couple times and did the short hike with all of our boys. We saw an armadillo and a tortoise in the park. Beautiful pictures of our family we got here.
Our favorite restaurant was Salt Life.
We’d love to come back and stay at this house again in the future. The boys have raved and raved about the selection of tv shows and movies on the tvs at the house. My four year old has begged to go back just to watch the beach house tv!

This cute little cottage is an excellent value. The owners communicate very well and have provided so many extras to make vacationing easier. They do not provide towels, as some have pointed out, but the abundance of beach gear is better in my opinion. Many nice beach chairs, boogie boards and even a paddle board! I’d much rather have these items supplied than towels! It was no big deal to bring some towels. There is even a washer and dryer so you can launder them if needed. There is lots of room for a large family to spread out and and everyone have space. The beach is just gorgeous and not crowded at all. We went every single day! The historic downtown area was fun to explore and has many little art studios that we just loved! This was by far our best family vacation and we will definitely be back!

You will love this house!
Things we especially appreciated-
1.) It is very close walk to beach access- it is a two minute walk - We timed it..
2) The beach is not crowded at all at this beach access.
3) This house has plenty of beach gear- several beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys so you don’t have to worry about bringing all that.
4) The house is close to grocery stores and restaurants.
5) The house is cute, clean, and cozy.
6) Mike (the owner) is very nice and attentive to your needs.
We had a wonderful stay! 😊

Wonderful, clean, and spacious home very close/easy access to beach (5 min. walk). Mike and Lisa were great hosts checking on us and making delicious restaurant recommendations… Sliders and Salt Life. Plus we found 5 sharks teeth on the beach! Also, historic downtown Fernandina and Ft. Clinch were bonus experiences our whole family enjoyed!

We loved the house and the location. Simple walk to the beach and great bike riding. Egans creek parkway was such a fun little system of trails. Fort Clinch was also very cool. Outdoor shower was the best. We never took any showers inside. We’ll be back next year! Thanks Mike

The hosts Mike and Lisa welcomed me to the property with a personal phone call to make sure we had everything we needed. They made our stay awesome with helpful information about finding shark teeth on the beach (we found three!) and have everything at the house to enjoy time at the beach including chairs, boogie boards, and even a SUP!
The house itself is a charming cottage that’s perfect for a family. With two bedrooms upstairs and the master on the main level we all had plenty of space. The kitchen is small but we’ll stocked and the washer and dryer were so nice to have. We’d come home from the beach and run a load every day so we could do it again the next day.
Mike and Lisa checked in again during our stay to make sure everything was meeting our expectations.
All around the house is perfect! I’d definitely rent again!

This was our first time on Amelia Island and we were very impressed with the island and location of the home. It's just a short walk to the beach. The area of the beach is not crowded at all, which is a bonus. There are very nice bike trails nearby that you ride your bike from the house to. The house is very clean, so the cleaning crew does a great job. Mike is great with communications. Just a short drive to the historic district. An overall excellent stay. We will back again

Great property, location and host
Spacious house with three bedrooms that is perfect for families. Great, communicative host. Very reasonably priced for the location, space, and decor. Really nice main floor with open living room and kitchen. Lots of beds in three bedrooms. Indoor shower enclosures are very dated but we mostly used the outdoor shower which is lovely and has hot water! One oddity is no towels which is a bummer when you are flying in and don’t want to pack extra luggage (this wasn’t a cleaner error, they just don’t provide towels; also no coffee, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.) But for the price and location you can’t beat it. The neighborhood is very quiet and the house has a lovely front porch where we ate lunch outside. It’s just 1.5 blocks to the beach access. Keyless entry was nice as we didn’t have to haul keys around. All in all, great value. We will be back!

This was our first time to Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island and our family loved every day of our visit. The house was furnished exactly as the pictures depict, very clean and all the necessary amenities.
Easy walk to the beach (5 min) and not overly crowded. Kids loved chasing the lizards around the house. The outside shower is a great addition to remove sand. The availability to use the wave boards/skim boards/surf boards/sand toys/beach chairs made packing a lot easier.
We saw lots of wildlife on our visit while bike riding to Fort Clinch, visiting Cumberland Island, and eating dinner down by the Fernandina Historic District. So much more to do and see that we will definitely be coming back!
Mike kept in contact from the beginning to the end of our vacation to ensure we had everything we needed in the home. We had a wonderful time!
Thanks Mike and Lisa for sharing your home!

Wonderful stay. Beach was separate from public beach so pretty much to ourselves. 5 min walk to beach. Low key community which i loved. Not much traffic! Went in May which happened to be perfect weather. House was exactly what we wanted. Loved the trip.

This place is in a very nice location and fit our family of 6 perfectly. As much as I don’t want to leave a good review (because I don’t want everyone to find this place out of selfish reasons) I have to!!! The house is wonderful and very comfy! The shower out back is like a dream come true! This is definitely the place we are going again and again! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Gem in Fernandina! LOVED it!
This was our first time in Fernandina Beach and absolutely loved it. We can’t wait to go back.
Mike and Lisa’s house was perfect! Had everything we needed and was a great size for our family (two adults plus 4 kids). It was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed.
Our kids loved walking to the beach which is just a two minute walk and one highlight for our thirteen year old son was walking to Dairy Queen every day.
We loved how easy it was to get around on bikes. Lots of trails and bike lanes. We rented bikes at the beach store (which is also walking distance from the house) and rode on the Egans Creek Parkway where we saw turtles and an alligator.
Historic downtown is a short drive and has wonderful restaurants
and shopping.
Just a wonderful time.
Mike and Lisa’s house is a gem.
Mike is easy to talk to, welcoming, and gave us great info about things to do and places to eat. He told us about finding shark teeth at Clinch Fort State Park and indeed we found some.
We can’t wait to go back.

It was our first time to Fernandina Beach and we were fortunate to find this little beach house. The house is about a5 min walk to the beach. Great location! Lots of front porch time when we weren’t on the beach. Coffee on the porch was a morning ritual. Landscaping and natural habitat provides great screening around the property. The house woke one morning to a hawk screeching at an owl in the live oak located in the backyard. It was impressive to see a hawk and owl squaring off. The house is older but has been partially updated and was very clean. Had everything we needed to cook dinners nightly. Communication with owner was excellent. Looking forward to returning next year.
