Would definitely come back. Had so much privacy. Ann was very friendly and helpful. A heated outdoor pool in the Berkshires? What’s not to love! Super comfortable bedroom.

This charming one-bedroom in Old Chatham was very comfortable and charming. The layout and furnishings were great, and the kitchen and bath were up to date and perfect for what I needed. I was there during a frigid snowstorm and the snow removal was done efficiently. The house was cozy, but cool in places. The hosts provided space heaters there for just such a minus zero temperature weekend!
The location is in the country, but it has a restaurant next door and a lovely former railroad path just two blocks away. The hosts are warm and friendly and very responsive, and I felt very taken care of. I would be happy to return!

Owner was very responsive. Accommodations were as advertised. Location was good. It is not the only rental unit and it was a tad busier than I expected. But not noisy and other guests respectful. I would rent here again and overall it was a pleasant experience. A few minor issues which Ann resolved for us. Happy overall.

We loved our one-month stay at Ann and Francois’s South Wing one-bedroom apartment. They have renovated an historical building and left the attractive elements of the old building - the exposed beams, the broad-plank, wood floors - while incorporating modern conveniences siuch as a rain shower and a convection oven. The kitchen is well-outfitted and the overall apartment is spacious for this NYC couple and our dog. Ann and Francois were welcoming yet gave us our space, and responded immediately to any questions. We loved the area. Old Chatham is charming little village with an excellent Country Store (of all things, they have amazing bagels!!) and a wonderful restaurant/ pub named Jackson’s. Both are located a snowball’s throw away from the apartment’s front door. Columbia County has ten conservation areas that are worthy of a visit, with 3-5 mile hikes that were just our speed. Particularly noteworthy was the High Falls Conservation Area. There is also a rail trail located across the street, along Depot Lane, that became our morning walk every day. Ask Ann about it, I am sure that she will show you where it is, as she did for us.
This was not only a winter vacation for us, but also respite from the intensity of covid in NYC. We both have been working from home, so good wifi was imperative. The signal in this Old Chatham apartment was strong and supported Zoom meetings for both of us.
We plan to return. Thanks Ann and Francois!

This annexe to an historic home is absolutely perfect. Beautifully appointed and furnished, nothing was overlooked. The shower is a dream, the kitchen functions really well and the bedroom is cozy and sumptuous. I stayed with my little dog for just two nights but I could have stayed forever .... this felt like the home I want to live in and that is the highest praise I can give. The hosts are fantastic and I wish them every success.

Wonderful Fall Weekend
We spent a wonderful fall weekend at Ann andFrancois's place. Much do our delight, we were upgraded to a larger apartment than originally booked. The beds were comfortable and there was space to relax outside. We brought all of our food due to COVID-19 and it was easy to cook and reheat our meals. We spent most of our time hiking and walking in the woods and it was a pleasure to come back to a warm and cozy space. We can't wait to visit again!

My husband and I spent a long weekend celebrating our anniversary and our stay superseded our expectations. Super clean, spacious, beautiful decor, fabulous shower, comfortable queen bed, and a kitchen with all that you need. There is an excellent restaurant around the corner. Communication with the owners was excellent and they went above and beyond to make our anniversary special.

From beginning to end our stay was marked by comfort and relaxation. Our host Ann greeted us with warmth and interest making sure that all our needs were met. Our accommodations were spacious and up to date. We were up for a long weekend attending our granddaughters wedding and the cottage was perfect for our needs. The kitchen was high end and easily accommodated the meals I needed to prepare, the bathroom was spacious and the shower was delightful with dual shower options that met both my needs and my husbands. The bed was very plush and comfortable. The residence is an interesting combination of 19th century architecture coupled with 21st century technology. The area is immersed with bucolic sights and trails - Ann suggested a trail literally across the street that leads to a bird sanctuary that was a delight. In short..... we'll be back.

Beautiful Property; Well-Appointed; Quaint Location
Ann and Francois’s home is lovely. The one bedroom unit that we rented was beautifully decorated and well-appointed. Old Chatham is a cute little hamlet, approximately half an hour from Lennox and Bash Bish Falls.

Ritz Carlton in the country
Ann & Francois have done an amazing job renovating and decorating this apartment that there's hardly anything you can want. But if you did, they were so accomodating to make our stay perfect!
The kitchen is high-end, the bed is plush, the shower is to die for, and the location is central. We had a wonderfully relaxing week and would have stayed longer if we could.
Ann & Francois were welcoming hosts.

Spacious one-bedroom
Lovely, comfortable, nice mix of modern and antique. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Wish the windows opened and note that old Chatham has no real grocery shopping conveniences. But the space is otherwise great.

Very relaxing
I had a very enjoyable stay in the lovely one-bedroom unit attached to the main house. If you like to stay in town, this is the spot. It is also a very close drive to the Powell wildlife sanctuary and the Ooms Conservation area. The unit is comfortable and quiet, the bed is very comfortable and all linens are clean and plush. The new bathroom is amazing with a shower that beats all! Thank you for a terrific stay!

Try comfortable
We were in OC to visit family and it was great to have such a comfortable place right around the corner. We booked very last minute and Ann was great, doing her best to accommodate us. She was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. It’s important to note that we actually stayed in the 2 bedroom unit, not the one we actually reserved (We agreed to this up front and it was not a problem).
A few basic kitchen utensils would be a welcome addition, such as a baking dish or two and a kitchen knife . There’s no microwave or dishwasher... I don’t mind washing dishes but it would be nice to be able to reheat food.
The bed was wonderful and the shower had good pressure. We would definitely stay again.
