Disappointing

Very green. For a youth trip quite a nice location.

Rooms miss basic things like hooks in the bathroom (or anywhere), the bathroom floor gets all flooded when showering while there are no floor towels, only 2 seats for a room that sleeps 3, only 1 table (outside). Mattresses are old/thin. Access road is hard to find and goes over 2 narrow and not very safe looking bridges. Food was ok but overpriced. Only instant coffee.

Passable

Nice garden with outdoor chess table in King size format and view of Kilimanjaro (from a watch tower) Only 20km from Amboseli national park. The breakfast was OK with pancakes, eggs, toast, sausages.

The dinner was very simple and overpriced. One of the rooms smelled bad from the toilet.

Disappointing

The room was comfortable Food was good

The manager is rude and showing zero concern to guest The road to the ranch was muddy we got stuck called him to send someone to come help us no one showed up we struggled ourselves to the ranch We asked him to get us a tour van this was where the real issue was the driver and him really played us totally different from how we agreed When we were leaving he never even bothered to ask us anything we carried our bags and left with no one even showing up to say goodbye yet he was Available They didn't make the room until we came back In the evening and when we asked we was very rude to us Teen ranch is a very nice place but only when it's not raining

Great place !

We had an excellent stay at teen ranch. The landscape is wonderfull, we can see the Kilimandjaro on our way to the breakfast ! The food is great and Jonathan and his team are amazing host, always ready to help and answer the questions. We recomand it 100% !

All in all an enjoyable stay at Teen Ranch. Guests be prepared for a "no frills" experience.

The staff was very friendly. It was a beautiful property and the rooms and dining hall were clean. The cook was easily able to accommodate our vegetarian diets and served us fresh, delicious meals.

The hot water and electricity were unreliable.

Superb

Good people ! Simple accommodation, but very clean , with great nature around and super nice hosts . Comfortable beds, good breakfast. They can arrange car and driver for you , for game drives and safari. You can see the Kilimanjaro from there with good weather.

Wonderful familiar place to be

We were really glad to arrive at Teen Ranch Kenya. Jonathan was a very friendly and helpful host. He was very friendly and lovely to our child. We were feeling welcomed and the kitchen was doing an amazing job. We would always come back to the whole Teen Ranch Family! We were happy to be there. Wonderful place to be as a family. The nature was amazing and closed to Amboseli Nationalpark. Jonathan tried his best to comfort us and were open for any request.

Awesome stay, wonderful staff

The originality of the ranch and its initial purpose as a youth camp is appealing and commendable. it is therefore very kid-friendly. The Rach has a safari car that you could hire to visit Amboseli Park, with an amazing driver who also happens to be an exceptional guide. The proximity with the Massai Local Cattle Market (walking distance), which offers a very interesting opportunity for a side activity during your stay, and is taking place every Tuesday. Besides, if you are lucky enough with the weather, you can have a beautiful view of Mount Kilimanjaro, either at sunrise or at sunset.

Breakfast was not diverse enough. Some of the infrastructures need more maintenance, such as the climbing wall or the basketball court, although these were not the primary targets of our stay.

Excellent stay at a great little ranch

Great atmosphere and very helpful staff. Not far from Amboseli National Park, the Ranch organised our game drive, which was excellent. They also took us to the village market and up a hill to see the sunset. Both were great trips at no extra cost. Surprised by very bad reviews below. It's not the Hilton, but you can't expect that when you book a cottage at this price. Don't be confused by the name Teen Ranch, it's not a youth camp. Beautiful view of Mt Kilimanjaro from the Camp! (obviously only visible when it is not cloudy)

Prices for lunch and dinner are high at 15 USD per person. The food is nice and plentiful, but does not quite justify the price. There are no restaurants nearby, so you just have to accept the cost.

A little piece of heaven

The location was good close to the Amboseli National Park Kimana Gate. The Host and staff were exceptionally good they made us feel welcome and at home. Any request was met with prompt response. The food was good. We definitely will return.

The wi-fi is only available in the common areas it would be nice to have it in the rooms.

Warmest welcome and tranquil location.

The warmest welcome from Jonothan and the team! Chef was excellent and cooked exactly what you wanted Kenyan style food so don't expect western cuisine, come and embrace what the Kenyans do best!! Nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were clean with consistent white style bedding and towels. Comfy beds and very funky decor. Always available to offer good areas to visit and nature walks. It is basic but comfortable and we have had a wonderful time 2 adults 3 children, if you want to try a bit of authentic Kenya then please consider a stay here 😀. It is only 30 minutes from Amboseli National Park Kimana gate and on a clear day has spectacular Mt Kili views! Thanks for a wonderful stay, lovely food and local knowledge. Asante Sana!

Toiletries were not as stated so they should either not offer them or improve what they offer but that is all I can complain about in the room! Also there is a generator that powers water during the day down by the river, so a little noisy but that is not the fault of the ranch as it's not on their land. Its turned off at night though so no noise just the tranquil sounds of nature.

Great place near Amboseli

Nice wonderful staff Brian and Jonathan try do all make you feel comfortable its a simple natural lodge but great value for money and has all you need, Beef stew and soup was very tasty!

Very good

The location close to Kimana sanctuary and the view of mount Kilimanjaro was spectacular. The Layout with the beautiful garden was also really nice and ideal for travelling with our dog!
