A great base to explore the Dingle Peninsula, Killarney or Tralee. The breakfast is fab cooked by Tim who is an amazing host who goes the extra mile for his guests. He brought me a honey and lemon drink to help soothe a persistent cough. We were in the Mountain suite which has a separate sitting area with a TV and a wide selection of books. Tim had also provided a bottle of wine and some sparkling water in the fridge. I highly recommend a stay at Alderwood House.

The breakfast (black pudding, poached eggs and fresh vegetables) was one of the best breakfasts we’d ever had! Location is brilliant; twenty minutes from Tralee, 30 minutes from Killarney and 40 minutes from Dingle.

Nothing to see here… nothing we didn’t like.

Our stay at Alderwood House was absolutely exceptional - maybe the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at! The location was beautiful with plenty of parking and the room was spacious - in fact we even had a sitting room with Netflix! Breakfast was fantastic and made with fresh local ingredients, including some grown on the premises. Tim and his wife were extremely helpful. I really can’t recommend Alderwood House enough!

It was perfect, to be honest.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Alderwood House, the accommodation is very cosy and it has everything you might need for a comfy stay. Tim is a fantastic host, he's friendly and knowledgeable and gave us the best tips on things to see and places to eat nearby. The house is in a very good location, halfway between the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. The place is very quiet and relaxing and breakfast was fab too! 10/10 for us, we'll definitely recommend Alderwood House to friends and family wanting to visit Kerry in the future!

The owner has a fantastic knowledge of the local area and provided some personalized tips to areas that we would have missed otherwise. The breakfast options were great and have to say it was one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had with exceptional attention to detail. Readily able to access Dingle without all the congestion and people.

Meeting traffic on the narrow road to the house though this really is the charm of the Irish countryside.

If there is an 11/10 then this is the B&B which worth it 101%... If you believe you have stay at a PERFECT B&B you are wrong! You have to stay in Alderwood house first and then make your choice. Unbelieveable room and rate balance! Outstanding stay. Tim the owner is doing whatever possible to satisfy your need. Even he is giving excellent info and brosures for the area. Very kind friendly and helpful. Cozy sleep, absolutely clean room and house. Fantastic breakfast freshly prepared for you with only local organic ingredients. Could not better. Wish we can stay more. Facilities are absolutely fantastic, more than one need and definitely more than we expected. Tim is a very nice person, great host. We've had lots of private space. Very clean, with every detail thought through. There is a separate living space, great for long evenings with a glass of wine. It's very quiet and feels remote, but it's fantastic base for exploring Dingle Penisula and other places with spectacular views. Lovely, fresh & healthy breakfast options made to order. Could not reccomend enough.
