Nestled in Rocky Point, this lovely condo for $309 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Featured on HGTVs House Hunters International Season 123 Episode 13 our condo, Unit 605W, is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit that sleeps 6. The condo was renovated in early 2021 to a beach theme. Bedroom 1 features a custom built full-size bunk bed that can sleep 4. The hall bathroom is located just across from Bedroom 1 and features new granite counter tops along with a tub and shower combination. The master bedroom features a king size bed with custom headboard. Also in the master bedroom is a futon sofa that converts into a full bed. The master bath features double sinks and a walk-in shower. The living room has a full-size sofa sleeper. Each room has a HD TV with cable stations including HBO, Local Phoenix stations and more. Additionally, each TV has been configured to use high-speed internet (included) for streaming services such as Netflix. The kitchen features granite counter tops and brand new stainless-steel appliances. There is a dining table with seating for 4 with an adjacent bar in the kitchen with seating for an additional 3 people. There is also a full-size washer and dryer available in the laundry room. The outside patio features views of the sunrise over the town and sunsets in the evening. The patio has seating for 8 with a bar style table and chairs, a chase lounger, and outside dining for 6. The Sonoran Sun Resort in Puerto Penasco, Mexico (commonly referred to as Rocky Point) is a beautiful ocean front resort on the Sea of Cortez. The pools at the Sonoran Sun resort are a great place for you and the family to swim, and soak in the sun while still enjoying the fantastic views of the beach and the Sea. The beach and the sand are just steps away from the pools at the Sonoran Sun Resort. There are 3 pools at the Sonoran Sun resort, one of which is heated for year round enjoyment. There is also a small shallow area in the main pool good for wading in the pool and keeping the little ones in your family in their own small pool area. An aqua bar separates the pools and is available for you to swim up and order drinks and food. Also in the pool area you will find 2 hot tubs, one of which is family friendly, and countless pool side lounge chairs. If you would prefer to enjoy the sandy beach, there are also a multitude of beach palapas with lounge chairs. The Sonoran Sun also offers an onsite gym that is stocked with state of the art work out equipment, an on-site convenience store that has all of your necessities, an on-site restaurant that has a wonderful traditional Mexican and American favorites, and an on-site day spa. The Sonoran Sun Resort is a family-friendly resort with each unit being only steps away from beautiful Sandy Beach. Feel free to bring your off-road toys when staying at the Sonoran Sun Resort. There is plenty of secure parking for your trailer and the trails/dunes can be accessed directly from the resort just outside the security gate. Plus, the town of Puerto Penasco is OHV friendly, many OHV'ers choose to use their RZR, CanAm, quad, etc as their primary mode of transportation while visiting the taco shops, restaurants, and stores in the area. Beautiful unit. I wish we would’ve checked the laundry room first where the boogie boards and things that apply to the beach were there and we didn’t see them until we exited. Overall, it was great. We always go during the week where it’s nice and quiet, we do not prefer weekends as it is always crowded and we’ll always like a quiet place and on the weekends you never ever have that.

The place was great. It had everything we needed to make meals. Great views from the balcony. The only thing I would suggest is replacing the dishwasher. Not sure if it was rust or what but it wasn’t very clean on the inside. Everything else about our stay was awesome and we would definitely stay here again.

I will definitely try to stay here again. The condo is very well decorated, very light and soothing colors and comfy furniture. The kitchen has everything you need to settle in and feel at home. Views at night of the pool and the malecon are lovely, and the resort has plenty of amenities to make your stay easy, including a small store for sundries. Staff are very friendly and helpful and of course the beach is awesome.

Had a fabulous time & the condo was clean, comfortable & the perfect location for us. It was out of the craziness that comes with spring break & we could truly relax. David was very response to our questions & we will definite stay here again. Thank you for a fabulous stay & sharing ur home with us.

We absolutely loved our stay. We went with 3 other families who stayed at other condos at Sonoran Sun and think this condo was the best out of our friends’. Perfect layout, very spacious, and loved the bunk bed option. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The owner was very communicative. Can’t wait to go back!

It was a fantastic view and perfect furnishings. The location is great. Only a few things would have improved it. It is a hassle to have to provide your own beach towels. There should be curtains in the living room in case someone is sleeping on the sofa bed because the morning light wakes you up at dawn. The kitchen faucet is loose and needs to be repaired.

We have stayed previously at the Sonoran Sun on the East side so was nice to get the west perspective with city view. We were able to see the sun rise and set from the condo. Really amazing view. This unit is nicely decorated with beachy theme, updated with wood-tile flooring, and comfortable new furniture. We had some bad luck with the weather a few days (some heavy rain) which resulted in a power/water outage for a few hours (on new years eve) but it was back on in time for the new years party and gave us renewed gratitude for power! There was some light construction happening for a few days in the unit next door (not during early morning or evening so wasn't bad and easily drowned out by a little music and the sound of the birds/sea). We still had a great stay and it all added to the adventure of Mexico. The resort is very clean, secure, and well maintained and the heated pool with swim up bar has good food and drinks. You can get a massage right on the beach and all the water activities directly in front of the resort. We usually come in the spring so it was cooler weather but still perfect in the sun and awesome to watch all the pelicans and seagulls diving into the Sea. Wrecked on the reef is a short few minute drive (or a bit longer walk on the beach) and was definately the place to be with live music on the weekend and a great atmosphere huge indoor and outdoor areas with firepits and heaters (in the winter) and great service. Looking forward to our next visit!

I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness of the resort. Any time of the day or night staff were wiping down handrails on balconies or washing mirrors on elevators. Staff was friendly. The unit was very clean and beautifully decorated. Beds are pretty firm but overall a fantastic experience

Let me say it first that we have been coming to RP for the last 10 years and we come twice a year. We normally stay at Sonoran See as it is within walking distance to our favorite restaurants. This time we stayed here as we had some friends coming as well. This is the most beautiful, furnished and decorated unit we have stayed in. We had all that we needed. The only thing that we kind of had issue was the second bedroom covers and some pillow covers had stains on them. I contacted the owner and I'm sure the next guests will have clean linnen. My only hesitation coming back to this resort would be rocky Beach. Kids love to go on on their own and to play and with rock its hard. My oldest bruised her knee snd my husband kind of hurt his big toe, however if we would be back I would certainly look for this unit again.
