Buen trato, limpio y bien ubicado

Colchón en mal estado, se deben cambiar cada cierto tiempo, este ya estaba muy delgado . Falta un espacio para ver televisión, porque la tv que tienen , la usan los voluntarios escuchando su música

Pleasant

Other than this a pleasant stay, just leaves a sour impression. Good breakfast for R$15. Good location.

Had the air-conditioning on compulsorily from 10-8am. No way of controlling it from inside the room. Only had a thin bedsheet. Mine and my friends' beds were both directly under the air-conditioning. The guy at reception refused to give us extra bed sheets, despite there being no other beds for us to move to. They charged R$20 to borrow a blanket. Eventually he agreed to let us have an extra bedsheet after asking us to argue with the other guests in the room and see if someone would swap beds with us. Seems like a complete scam.

Nice place

The location was nice, right next to a beach and close to the lighthouse to watch the sunset. The kitchen has everything you need and the beds are nice and sturdy so you do not feel every movement of the other person sleeping in the same bunkbed

The air-conditioning was put on every single night even if people of a room asked to turn it off. There is not a lot of space in the rooms but everyone has a lockable drawer.

I booked a room for 6 when I arrived they did have it and put me a room for 8 and explain and talked in the recepcion and they didnt give a good explanation, next day I asked to move the room that I booked and the woman that is in charge was quite rude, the place was too noisy all the time tv so loud all morning and internet didnt work well , then I moved to another hostel.

Location is good to beach

Location was good . When we arrived the staff kindly put us in an apartment a little further up the street from the hostel. We hadn't booked this but was thankful as the apartment had more room. However, as there was no fridge we still had to use the main hostel. The language barrier was evident even though staff spoke English I think the understanding was an issue . But they tried to help when they could. We were advised by one staff that the area was not safe after late hrs but we found the area to be well policed and didn't stay out until early hrs of the morning..latest by 12pm and felt safe.

Noisy due to dogs barking in the other apartment early morning. Poor cleanliness in the apartment

Staff was friendly and there was a good kitchen. Location close to the beach but far from other sights in Salvador.

It was honestly one of the worst hostel experiences i had. It was not always the fault of the hostel, but i had three horrible nights of sleep. People talking loud in the dorm in the middle of the night or early morning, turning on the lights, making phone calls on speaker when you are already sleeping, sending voice notes at 7:30 in the morning. And they just laugh at you or ignore you when you are saying something and keep doing it. Never had so many ignorent people in one hostel. Also the air conditioning is freezing. When I was staying in the hostel there were almost only portuguese speaking guests, so there was not really a social vibe for international travelers.

Not what I expected.

Location is very convenient. Good shared areas.

The room pics from my booking confirmation were not from the room in which I slept. In the pics there were some nice 6 beds and I ended up sleeping in a crowded 15-people room... with many broken lockers. Same breakfast everyday. One staff guy was a bit annoying after my check-out: no bags room, "u can't do this, don't go there..." First time I experience this in a hostel!

Awesome hostel to make friends

The volunteers working there are super cool. It's a great place to connect with people & make friends. I met a cool group of guys, we partied together & gonna spend NYE in Rio

It would be great to have soap in the bathroom to wash your hands. I didn't like that you have to pay 20 Reais if you want to stay or leave your bag after 3PM the day you check-out

the mood is this hostel is very nice, lovely decoration with good Music on the TV!The workers are really friendly, the hostel is just next to a big shopping mall, to a bus station and to turístic points in the district of Barra! thanks

Good Experience in Salvador de Bahia thanks to Hostel Barra

Excellent staff and a wonderful dog. At first, we had planned to stay there for 3 days, we stayed much longer. We’ve taken a private room well decorated. Comfortable, and a place to meet many new people of different nationalities! Thanks to the Staff of the Hostel Barra, we’ve assisted to a beautiful Samba Party ! I highly recommend.

Everything was perfect except maybe the schedules for breakfast which ends a little early 9 AM

The location was perfect.The Staff,Volunteers n Owner were so helpful n made my stay a memorable one. Clean,good Wifi n comfortable. Would come back again.

Wish they would have privacy curtains for each bunk beds.

Very good

It was very clean. They were constantly cleaning all the facilities, bedroom and bathroom. Wifi worked fine in all parts of the hostel (that's perfect if you work remotely).

The mattress was a bit old and thin. They could buy new ones. That's the only thing I didn't like.

Great location, just a walking distance from Praia da Barra, with amazing staff. Everyone was really friendly and helped me with all my questions about the city and the activities to do. The staff exceeded my expectations.

Disappointing

The location is very central and the stuff very friendly

The beds are impossible to climb upon them they have 3 beds one up from the other and no stairs to climb.The terrace is really dirty
