Galveston Seawall Sweetness

Great view of the Gulf from the balcony and we had a fantastic view of the sunrise. Just steps from the beach. Lots of breakfast options, loved the strawberry waffle mix as an added bonus for me. There is an indoor pool. Chain and non chain restaurants next door as well as a Kroger grocery store, a block away totally within walking distance. Close to multiple attractions. Easy check in and out. Staff was extremely pleasant! We really loved that our king room was much larger than your usual king room.

Tight parking but we drive a full size truck with big tires.

Leaves a lot to be desired.

Close to the beach and the convention center. They also let me keep my vehicle parked there all day while we were at our event even though I no longer had a room booked for that night.

Beds were uncomfortable, furniture was outdated and the office chair we had in our room had peeling "leather" on it. The coffee maker in the room was not clean and the coffee didn't taste great anyway. The doors to certain areas were busted and the elevator by the front desk is "sketchy" according to my 8 year old. 😆 The food was just ok, the eggs would have been better off just scrambled. It would be nice if there were a couple gf options too.

breakfast great fresh water in lobby, temp of pool water and pool towels. beds and pillows comfy, lots of information of places to see and do

road noise very loud are windows and door sealed well. sirens cars motorcycles engines revving.

All in all it was great! I will be back

The room was comfortable, quiet, the guy at the desk was very nice and made us feel welcome The coffee tasted great the breakfast was really good. The best place I've stayed in Galveston so far out of 4 hotels!

Good location and views of the Gulf.

Nice view and great location. Breakfast was good and no charge for parking.

Was there during the bird migration. Thousands of birds gathered on this and neighboring properties.

Pleasant

The breakfast was good and everyone enjoyed the cucumber water. Location was ok. Didn’t like that you had to cross the street to get to the beach but all of the hotels were like this.

The hotel was definitely dated. My daughter and I got locked out on our balcony. Someone did come and fix the door knob afterwards.

Someone vacuuming the halls at 11 at night. The elevator takes forever. You could hear the people talking and walking above you. And in the hallway. Not enough towels

Thought it was going to be a good hotel with good service from the employees but I was completely wrong.

It had 2 pools.

The lady in check-in who was extremely rude and how housekeeping didn’t go and clean the room once. They also went in the room twice without saying “housekeeping.” Breakfast was also the same every morning which is a bummer.

Great location and value for money!

great Value for money. The rooms are nothing special, but have comfortable beds, fridge, microwave, little balconies, good usb charging option. we chose this hotel as it had an inside pool (good wet weather option), and had great breakfast options (waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, toast, bagels, cereal, yogurt, good coffee). also beach and fishing pier across the street was fantastic!

At breakfast the waste is huge. all the cups and utensils are individually wrapped in plastic. don’t think that is really needed.

This is our second time staying here and will stay again. Rooms are clean, great location and staff. They have breakfast, couldn’t ask for more.

I was being charged twice, front desk fixed that, but I came to find out that my room which I booked months in advance was cheaper if I didn't have a reservation! Not good - I overpaid and I will not stay there again!!

Even with the issues we had, we enjoyed our stay.

The design of the hotel and rooms was very nice. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. I've stayed at fancier hotels that didn't have a breakfast as nice.

When we arrived to our room, we found it a mess. Housekeeping had not been to the room to prepare it for the next guest. Luckily, another room was available for us. That room, although clean, did not have any toiletries and towels. This meant another trip down to the front desk. We actually booked two rooms, one for our adult kids, and they didn't have any issue with their room so this bad experience was just with one of the rooms. The next day our key stopped working and I had to get them reset at the front desk. Finally, the noise suppression between floors is not very good. The guests above us were constantly stomping on the floor. I had to call the front desk at 1am and ask that they contact the guests above us. Soon after the noise stopped. Through all of this, the front desk personnel were wonderful and very apologetic.

Our toilet wasn't cleaned from prior guest. There were fruit loops on carpet from previous guests.
