Pental Island River Retreat is a spectacular riverfront homestead featuring beautiful river views, nestled amongst the eucalyptus trees and direct location on the river. You’re sure to instantly feel on vacation the moment you arrive, a peaceful country retreat and exclusively yours on over 100 picturesque acres. The property is a short drive to the town of Swan Hill and Murray Downs Golf Club, numerous fishing spots, nature walks and lakes for water skiing. The river is only steps away and possible for direct access for small boats. The charming and classic two storey five bedroom home, offers beautiful spacious living inside with bright airy environment and intetiors for a place to gather with your family and friends. We have included everything in the house we think you will need for you to have a relaxing and memorable holiday. A ten square large alfresco outdoor living area is perfect for larger gatherings with a screened room with views to the river and beautiful-eucalyptus trees, a breakfast bar, dining table and chairs. Stunning 2.5 m wide verandas surround the home, both upstairs and downstairs which offer panoramic countryside and river views. Everything is provided for your entertainment and includes large smart television, towels, linen, soaps, quality crockery and Nespresso coffee, plus wifi. Beautifully maintained grassed areas big enough for a game of cricket or football or to practice your golf, also a two person kayak is included free for use during your stay to enjoy the beautiful river. Easy access is from the riverbank with small boats and for larger boats, you may launch from fish point. A 10 minute drive to the village of Swan Hill where you will find hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and boutique retail. A short drive from the homestead takes you to numerous lakes for open water activities and great lakes for waterskiing. From the front gate, a 1km driveway takes you to the residence, consisting of a country style, fully-equipped generous sized kitchen. Five queen bedroom suites, which three of the queen bedroom suites upstairs have french doors leading out to the upper verandah, offering countryside and river views, a 4th bedroom suite with high windows. A fifth queen bedroom suite is located downstairs. A large separate living room area with comfortable sectional lounge and a 75 inch smart television. Included is wifi, and offers subscription channels. Also a feature is the open country style kitchen with stainless steel appliances, butlers pantry, stainless steel double refrigerator, quality glasses, cookware. The property has abundant wildlife and fishing, there’s grassed areas for ball games, we also supply a two person kayak, including 2 life jackets, paddles. Enjoy beautiful vistas, along the river, peaceful nature to enjoy. If keeping fit is your priority, there's beautiful places to walk along the river. Nightly price listed is for two persons a small additional fee will apply for extra persons and the maximum is a total of 8 people. Sorry no pets.

When we walked in the doors it was like entering another time and place! Absolute attention to detail in this 5 star immaculate country getaway with gorgeous furnishings and décor. It was so easy to unwind sipping sparkling wine in the jacuzzi, swinging in the seat watching the birds on the top deck, sinking into the soft beds and sleeping in in the morning, watching the bright stars at night, and gazing at the beautiful river with relaxing BBQ dinners. The outdoor enclosed deck was perfect for our daughter drawing in the morning sun, the boys loved the table tennis. Susan was a wonderfully attentive host giving us the perfect balance of care and space. The kitchen was magnificent and generously equipped with high quality appliances. This was truly everything we had hoped for in a country oasis to rejuvenate as a family... our teenagers loved it as much as we did! We highly recommend for couples or families.

The pictures do not do this beautiful holiday location justice. The home is grand and spotless, with high end appliances and everything you need thoughtfully supplied. The property is huge, super quiet with lovely surrounding flora and fauna. Thank you Susan for a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to return.

Our family enjoyed such a beautiful and relaxing time at this gorgeous Pental Island property. The home was warm, cosy and super inviting, with an abundance of nature for the kids to explore. Between the fishing, spa, canooing, marshmellow roasting, cabinet of books, wandering and tennis equipment there was never a dull moment. Only a short 10 minute drive into town made it very easy to stock up on essentials and quickly return to the quite, country serenity of Pental Island. The hosts were so kind and accommodating, we felt very looked after. We are very much looking forward to our next stay at this stunning location!

Lovely country homestead which is well suited for a large family that love family time together. Fishing, flying your kite, tennis, canoeing, or kicking a ball on the grass. The home is very tidy and well presented with lots of high grade appliances (so don’t take yours with you) Spa and lovely netted bug free area outside to pass away the evening on the banks of the little Murray. Highly Recommend!

What can I say? We had a fantastic weekend staying in this beautiful house. The house was incredibly clean, the owner has put a lot of thought and care into what guests would need/like. The beds were really comfortable, and the kitchen had every possible appliance you could need. Next time I will be bringing ingredients for baking! The owner kept in contact to make sure we had everything we needed. We took advantage of the kayak provided and gave it a go, which was great fun. All in all, would heartily recommend this beautiful property. We will be going back soon!!!

Fabulous house ‘in the middle of nowhere’ but only 15 minutes to Swan Hill. Magnificent large 5 bedrooms and fantastic amenities. Communication with Susan, Manager, was easy and she was prompt with any enquiries. Would definitely recommend this property.

As you drive up the driveway you are already amazed at the beautiful land & scenery, once you arrive and step foot inside the gorgeous (not to mention very large) house you immediately know you are in for a great time. The house may look older from the outside but the modern touches inside make it an ideal place. The house has everything you need - for example: First aid kits, toiletries, towels & linen, condiments & spreads, they were even thoughtful enough to leave us bacon and eggs!! =D Our favourite part was the back of the house where you find a HUGE pergola fitted with Table tennis, SPA, breakfast bar, BBQ and more! Then take a few steps and we hit the lake where we relaxed with some fishing by the pot belly fire. I could go on but All in all we had the most fabulous time! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Want to thank Susan for being such an excellent host. WE WILL BE BACK :)

My wife and I had a relaxing two night stay before travelling to a conference in Mildura. Pental Island Retreat was a really terrific surprise, a large country home with everything you could want. We loved how it felt like arriving at our own country retreat. An extremely relaxing start to our busy week with lovely peaceful surroundings on the river. Enjoying breakfast on the outdoor deck each morning and the large spa was thoroughly welcomed. We highly recommend to anyone looking for some relaxation and we are looking forward to bringing our family back here.

We were so impressed by this property and are definitely coming back. The house is absolutely gorgeous, it has amazing kitchen, verandahs, comfortable bedrooms, wonderful exterior and interior. It is very peaceful, ideal for relaxation, time off and as a starting point for trips to the surrounding areas. The house is huge, but very cosy at the same time. We absolutely love it.
