Check in not existing and made to collect keys through the pub adjoining. Pool was dirty and rundown, we didn’t use. Room was filled with cobwebs in nearly every corner. Towels not used by last guest were not changed as there was a pubic hair on the face washer. Nice spot but this property has had its day and needs a good refurb, though the staff and owners seem to not care.

Owned by commercial club which is opened until 3am, music and noise until then. People came back to rooms nosiy, we had no answer with reporting this to the staff. Kids wanted to use pool, i pulled out southern comfort cans and rubbish, pool was filthy, i wouldnt let kids swim in it. Air con and fan filthy, could see the dust fly off. Greasy finger prints. Chips in crockery. Messy facilities. Lock amd chain ripped off, door knobs missing. Shame, nice old motle, just needs some love. And perhaps the noise could be dealt with better too.

Linen hadn’t been changed found lots of hair in my bed. They changed the linen then left a long black hair in the sheets A party was held in a room both nights ended at 2am. Felt unsafe Will never stay here again Office was always closed

Room was dirty, dead flies and bugs, dust on surfaces, and ceiling fan and aircon where not clean, also the pub next door has a nightclub that goes until 3am, and the morons in the carpark partied till about 2am, would not recomend staying there if you would like to sleep

The staff at the pub were trying to divert who was responsible for issuing keys. Seemed like no one really wanted to help.

Raucous bar noise past 2am! Smokers in balcony above us every day and others’ smoke can be smelled in the pool area, even though our room was smoke-free. The box of tissues in our room had a gross fishy smell and it was clear that the box had been soiled but dried. The rest of the room and property were clean and in adequate condition but we are never returning and do not recommend this place to anyone.

Bed and pillows extremely uncomfortable. Didn't like that no sink in bathroom. Have to use sink in living area for brushing teeth and washing hands after toilet etc and then have to use that same sink to fill kettle and rinse mugs etc. Security chain on door broken. Noisy from hotel nearby.

Whilst the room itself was perfectly nice, clean and comfortable, the location proved to be dreadful. I stayed on a Friday night and it turned out that there was a beer garden over the back fence. I spent much of the night enduring very drunk people singing along to such classics as Darryl Braithwaite’s, ‘Horses’ and Hunters and Collectors, ‘Throw your arms around me’. If that’s your bag, then this is the place to stay.

When we arrived it took a long time to get on anyone from reception to give us our keys. We booked 2 weeks in advance. We tried to call reception to ask a question about the TV. No one ever answers. Room was clean; definitely antiquated motel.

Property is fine, but on the Saturday night the nightclub in the next door pub was blazing until 3am and people wandering around the car park on their phones talking at top of their voice. Not a great night's sleep!

Don’t stay there Friday or Saturday nights very noisy pub very close you won’t get any sleep until the music stops at 3 am. Aircon leaked all night had to empty container multiple times during night. Not to mention the big black spider near the door. Room was comfortable enough and clean.

We had a wonderfully spacious & spotlessly clean room. Very comfortable bed. The pub nearby can be noisy in the outdoor area in the evening and the décor is dated...... if these rooms are renovated, they'll be 4+ star. We'd be happy to stay again.

Really clean and modern room. Fantastic aircon ( 40c day ) 100% recommend this accommodation, only thing that was an annoyance, was the shower head needed fixing ( but when told the front-desk, very happy to be advised and would be fixed asap )
