About this house rental
Nestled in South Haven, this charming house for $623 per night is a great choice for your next trip. 'Sunset Center' is an adjacent pair of family vacation houses. The 'Ice House' is a 6 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom vacation home featuring a private gated 24 foot heated swimming pool, 6 person hot tub, playscape, and wooded ravine lot with fire pit. The property is an easy 4 block walk down the sidewalk to South Beach, Kid's Corner, and downtown shopping and dining. All comforts of home are provided, including washer and dryer, linens, all major kitchen appliances (including refrigerator with ice and water dispenser, range, dishwasher, and microwave), kitchen utensils, free wireless Internet, 8 cable TVs (Four with X1 Voice Enabled boxes with apps such as Netflix, Youtube, and access to the HDR, and 4 basic cable boxes for the remainder), many DVD/VCR players, CD players, just to name a few. The house is perfect for families with children of all ages. The pool and hot tub are gated for your protection. The back yard is completely fenced. The pool will be open and heated from mid May until approximately October 1. The hot tub is open and heated year-round. Enjoy the rare warm water in South Haven in June and September! Need even more space? My property actually has 2 houses next door to each other. My Sun House (Property #313907) is another 6 bedroom house right next door. House Details: Family-friendly items included are books for all ages, toys, puzzles, movies for all ages, well-loved bikes, riding toys, high chair, full size crib with rocking chair, 2 baby gates, excersaucer, strollers, sippee cups, baby monitor, booster seats, and pool toys. Enjoy the flexibility and convenience of having 6 private bedrooms, conveniently located throughout the house! 5 bedrooms are upstairs. One is a master suite with private bathroom. Another full bathroom is in the upstairs hall. 1 bedroom is downstairs, also with a private bathroom. The house has a large 28 x 14 foot carpeted living room that includes 2 cable televisions (50 inch and 44 inch). The 14 x 14 dining room comfortably fits an 8 foot dining table. The kitchen has sliding glass doors that open to the backyard deck and pool/spa area. More House Details: All six bedrooms are carpeted. All 6 bedrooms have ceiling fans. The house has 9 ceiling fans in all. The master bedroom has a faux balcony overlooking the backyard pool area. One bedroom has a trayed ceiling. Outdoor security cameras are in use at the front door and driveway only.

We had a long weekend family getaway in South Haven. There were 7 adults and 2 kids. There was plenty of room for everyone, the house was stocked with everything we needed , communication was great on checkin, keys , etc. Location was great for an easy walk to the lake, shops and restaurants. Everyone enjoyed their stay!!

It was our wedding weekend. So we booked both the Sun House and Ice House to host family from all over including Germany who had never been to the US. The houses are amazing, fully equipped, they thought of every need!! The owners responded right away with any question.

This spacious home was everything we were looking for in a vacation rental. From it’s six bedrooms to it’s beautiful backyard. A large deck with a gas grill, plenty of seating, a private pool, hot tub, and a shared play set for the kiddos. Very kid friendly with many books, board games, toys, and an actual arcade game in the home.
The home was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of towels, both bath and kitchen, garbage bags, paper towels, hand soap, laundry detergent and a fully functional kitchen.
It is located near the playground and beach, and a short distance to downtown.
The host offers a golf cart for an extra fee, which would be convenient to drive to the playground and beach.
The host was very accommodating and responded quickly when texted.
We would definitely stay here again.

The house is spacious with a very good flow. There are many extra things available to use. Such an easy walk to town or you can just hang out at the house.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this rental. The pool/hot tub/ deck were the main hang out space. Kitchen was well-equipped. We appreciated having spare coffee, kitchen supplies, and toiletries so we didn't have to keep running out to get things. There were so many toys for the kids to explore and play with. And the location to the beach and downtown is wonderful. We had a few questions and the host, Jim, was very responsive, helpful, and kind. Can't recommend this place enough!

We were a large family group, staying in South Haven for Mother's Day weekend. The Icehouse offered us a lovely place to stay while exploring the South Haven area. The six bedrooms, three full and one half baths made our stay very comfortable. We spent our evenings playing games at the large dining room table, and were grateful to be able to enjoy the pool and hot tub in the afternoon. We would love to stay again sometime and highly recommend this South Haven Gem!

The home was perfect for a large group. Walking In I was very impressed to find that it was exceptionally clean. It was the most comfortable and well stocked rental I have been in. The location was perfect with a short walk to downtown and the beach. My whole family from ages 10-72 enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Our kids loved the pool and hot tub. Highly recommended this rental. We had an issue with the ice machine and the owner was very responsive!

Great Girls' Getaway
We loved the location of this property, so close to town and the beaches! Lots of bedrooms and baths, spaces to spread out if we wanted to. The hot tub was such a nice way to relax each evening. The house was clean, but could maybe use a deep cleaning, as there were fingerprints/smudges/dirt marks on the refrigerator handles, bathroom walls and some of the doors/door jams. Also, the half bath toilet may need new screws and caulk, as it would move easily if bumped into. Great house overall, we would rent again.

This place is perfect for a large group of people. We found ourselves hanging out in the kitchen and on the deck a lot. There was plenty of room for our whole family. The bedrooms were comfortable and cozy. A ton of toys for the kids and it was fun relaxing in the hot tub.

This was a great spot for a mid-winter weekend away. The house and hot tub were great. This would be a great spot during the summer as there is a pool and within walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. The host was most helpful and communication was great. We would stay here again.

We found this property and thought it would be perfect for our 3 year old and the rest of our family. This is the first property that we have rented that really has it all. The owners really have thought of everything you might need for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Having a heated pool and a hot tub mid September in Michigan was so nice since there can be big swings in the weather temp. The house had a ton of sleeping space. We were surprised with the amount of toys that were available for the kids to play with. The house is located about .5 mile from Lake Michigan where you can access the lake shore. There is also a great kids playground across from the beach access. The house is also located close to downtown and we were able to walk there a couple of days. We have already discussed this property as an option in the future especially since the owner also rents the property next door. It really allows for some nice family get togethers. I would highly recommend this property to families.

Amazing Girls' Weekend Stay
Everything about our stay was perfect. Jim was a great host - very communicative and helpful. The house was clean, cute decor, easy instructions for using the hot tub and close to town. It was a great bonus to have use of the attached garage when it was so cold out. There was enough space for all of us to eat together in the kitchen. Even in mid-winter we used the hot tub and had a great view of the stars. The house had everything we needed. We hope to book again!

Perfect family vacation!
My family and I rented this beautiful home to take my grandma on a relaxing trip to Michigan. There were 7 of us total (kids and adults) and the space worked out perfectly. I was able to message the owner whenever needed and always had super fast replies but we had zero complaints! The house is even better than the pictures! It’s within a short walking distance to the pier and the beach. The neighborhood is so nice. We walked to the beach every morning and again at sunset. There are public playgrounds at the beach but Jim has a playground right there at the house too. Win win for kids! The pool and hot tub were everyone’s favorite place to be most of the time and the owner had the pool heated for the cooler October weather which was so awesome. We visited wineries, drove to Saugatuck for shopping, and did the sand dunes but honestly this was the first vacation where everyone was perfectly content being at the house because it was so relaxing and so much to do! Even sitting on the porch having coffee was nice. I was a little worried combining a few families of mine together in one house but the house is big enough where everyone had their own space. It is a good central location to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping as well. If you are looking for a rental house that has everything you need for a peaceful vacation, choose this one. We can’t wait to go back and rent this same house! Thanks so much!

perfect family place is true! The July 4th parade was great! House has big kitchen, outdoor eating area, 5 bedrooms upstairs and one down. Tons of toys, books, bikes and riding things for little ones. We have gone two years in a row and will probably go next year as well. Owner Jim is great! Property is great! We recommend it to all who desire a summer time fun time.

Ice House was perfect for our family!
After a fantastic week, everyone voted unanimously to return! Kids loved the pool, big kitchen, .6 miles to beach. Quick bike ride to watch the sunsets. Lots of indoor toys and books for the kids. Riding toys were also popular. We roasted marshmallows in the fire pit the one evening it was cool. Fireflies were everywhere! Downtown is fun and we had lunch on the boat that is docked there. Owner was friendly and provided great customer service. :) The Sharrows/Grosse Pointe, MI
