Situated in Coeur dAlene, this charming house for $984 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Welcome to our Home! We have available a large, beautiful, Cap Cod style home on one of the best boulevards in town!. Located in the BEST area of Coeur d' Alene-between Downtown and the recently renovated, bohemian Midtown, affectionately known by its residents as the Garden District! Large 3200 Sq. ft house. Sleeps 14 comfortably! -Great for large groups, or families traveling together. Coeur d ‘alene Lake Beach and Boat marina is just down the street. Boat rentals and Jet Ski’s available. Step-outside the door and browse the great Farmers market, or Phippeny park, both just right here! Close to Silverwood theme park. This large home is the perfect space for any guests. With a total of 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living spaces, and a family room. It was recently remodeled with an architectural mix of mid-century modern period pieces. Awesome floor plan, perfect for multiple families traveling together, and lots of great common space for people to congregate. Three floors total but with bedrooms and a common area on each floor so groups can be together but can spread out and have some privacy too. The 2nd floor is an extra-large double living area that can easily host 15 all in one room, next to a cozy fireplace. A formal dining room with space for 15 adjoins the open kitchen with a breakfast bar and space for the chefs in the group. Additionally, on this main floor is the master bedroom and bathroom. The 3rd floor could be easily be considered its own apartment with two very spacious bedrooms, a sitting area with futon, television, small dining table, and of course a full bathroom. The spacious 1st floor has two large bedrooms, laundry area and small game room. We are world travelers and our home is tastefully decorated. The new hard wood floors are covered with Egyptian silk carpets, and Polish and Moroccan wool rugs. The furniture is an eclectic mix of mid-century modern pieces many of teak or dark walnut wood, designed by Eames and/or other great artists of that period. On our travels we have brought a little piece of the world back to share with our guests. The house is a mini international museum. Look closely and you'll find Delft ware porcelain from Holland, a piece of the Berlin wall, a 3,000 year old ruin from the Karnak temple of Egypt, an Ostrich egg, Roman vases, ancient Greek ruins, a Hopi Indian basket, a Chinese Violin, a Balinese carved Komodo dragon, the horn of a Kudu, a piece of Rome, a piece of Prague, a stair banister from a German castle and more! We have art displayed from local artists, and reproductions of the classics-Monet, Manet, Picasso, Van Gogh, Degas, Cezanne, and much more. Have fun exploring the house, but don't forget about Coeur d' Alene! We have been to some of the world’s most famous lakes-Lake Bled in Slovenia, Lake Powell, Lake Como, and can say that none compare to the beauty of Coeur d' Alene. This tree-lined boulevard that leads to the lake is one of most favored in town, known for its rich history and great architectural representations. This is clearly a residential area, but just down the road can be found award winning restaurants & pubs, a community park, bike rental shop, ice cream parlor, and a neighborhood Whole foods style grocer. Ideally located within just blocks of everything-Beach, Golf, Boating, Hiking, fishing spots, cliff diving, city marina, river, hiking trails, biking trails, parasailing, batting cages, tennis, theater, ice cream shops, shopping, city parks, pubs, grocery, Coeur d' Alene Lake Resort, restaurants, and public transportation. Everything was as expected except for the one bathroom in the house is really not usable for adults. It is a tub positioned in a spot where you cannot stand up, there is no curtain and water would go everywhere. We managed with the single shower. Otherwise, great location!

Easy check-in process, super cute property. There were lots of games for the kids to play and a big yard. The only issue we had was that one of the bedrooms had dirty sheets when we arrived. Thankfully we were able to find clean ones in another room. Otherwise it was a fun, uneventful stay.

I stayed here in late June and overall everything was great. There were 10 of us and space to spread out (though I'm not sure we would have been quite so comfortable with the 14 people that the listing advertises as the maximum occupancy). The A/C worked great, which was key because it was HOT when we were there. I believe the listing showed two sets of bunk beds, but there was only one (not an issue for us--we had plenty of beds--just an FYI). The rooms were all nice, and the mattresses pretty comfortable. Two bathrooms was a little hard to juggle with so many people but we made it work. The basement is mostly a storage/laundry area but again the rooms were nice. Would definitely consider staying here again if I find myself with a group in the area.

A little background information regarding our group. We were 7 retired men who wanted to meet in Coer d'Alene (CDA) to catch up and ride some of the beautiful rail to trails in the CDA area (there are many!). We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Andrew's rental; the location was good (long walk to downtown, but walkable), the house was clean upon arrival, there was enough space for the 7 of us, the kitchen was well appointed, and plenty of towels and linens were provided. On the downside, there really wasn't space for 7 people to have their own room (the listing says sleeps 14, but that's multiple people per bedroom), 2 bathrooms was tight, and there wasn't enough storage available for our bikes (there's a garage but we didn't have access to it).
Overall, we all agreed that the pros outweigh any cons and we would stay at Andrew's if we find ourselves in CDA again.

Host was very communicative, available and patient. My vrbo inbox was not working so host was very gracious with repeating information for me. Water equipment, bikes, birthday candles, abundance of supplies all made our stay super fun. Not one person in our group did not love the bed they slept on. Classic, cute house and yard and a few simple repairs of play equipment would make the outdoor space as perfect as indoor. Thank you so much! We would stay here again.

The outside of the home is a little misleading as you think it will be small but it was very spacious and the home was decorated very nice. Instructions were very clear. Hard to find during night. Wish they would have left the light on to find easier at night

This place was very conveniently located. It had everything we needed for our stay and plenty of space. We happened to be there during a heat wave and it was HOT! The house has AC and the basement level was always nice and cool but the rest of the house just couldn't keep up. With that being said... it was extremely nice to have the AC because several of our friends had rented places w/ no AC. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs and the backyard is large and fenced so the kids could play outside in the mornings before it got too hot.

The pictures don’t do the house justice, it’s really cute and had plenty of space! It has a spacious living room as well as lots of outdoor space. It wasn’t as close to the lake as we would have liked but we would definitely stay again!

Overall, everything went well. No complaints from start to finish. Owner Andrew responded quickly to emails and questions. We had 13 in the group. 3 levels worked great. Plenty of sofa space if upstairs got too warm at night. Not an upscale neighborhood, but it was quiet. Priced right. Served our needs well. I would not advise groups with small kids, as the owners have many collectables. We had teens to 50's, and it worked great for us. There was no cable or satellite TV. Netflix was provided. You can also bring a laptop with your own subscriptions and plug in to the flat screen. Even so, not a big deal. Actually led to conversation! There is a grass space in the very back of the lot, but we didn't get out there. BBQ is plenty big. Home was clean and the A/C worked well, though tough to cool the top as much as the lower floors. Just over a mile to the downtown and resort area. Walkable, but good parking lots ($1 - $3/hr) near the water. CDL is a nice place for a vacation. The home was great for us.

Cozy and Unique
We had a great stay in CDA and the property was a great space for our family of 10. The beds were comfy and there was lots of room to visit, eat, and gather, including the patio. It was nice to have extra seating everywhere too! The house was certainly within walking distance of downtown CDA, coffee shops, restaurants and fun and unique stores to browse. This is our 3rd trip to CDA with a large group and it did not disappoint! Andrew was very responsive whenever I had questions and made me feel very comfortable with our transaction. Thank you for trusting us with your lovely home :)

Great 60th birthday getaway
We had 5 adults and two young children. The house was the perfect size to relax and enjoy ourselves. Three floors, it felt like we each had our own space.
The backyard had ample sitting space and a swing set for the kids.
One of the things we enjoyed the most was the proximity to the downtown area, beach and Tubbs Hill. It was a 20 minute walk, which was very doable. An awesome grocery store was about 4 blocks away.
Thanks for a great place to stay!

Great stay!
Our family of 13 stayed here comfortably. 6 adults / 5 children / 2 teenagers. The backyard had a swing set, which the little ones enjoyed. The upstairs was great for the older kids to lay their video games. We went to Silverwood both days, so we really just slept, ate breakfast and took off for a day of fun. King bed was so comfortable. Everything we needed except a pizza cutter 🤔 We managed anyway 😊

Great for our littles
The back yard, with room for our grandsons to run and play was great. Loved having the fire pit, visiting with three generations for our 50th. Older home, but it worked.

Great spot for our family
Great house. Clean, new floors, and nice cool a/c (though the upstairs never got very cool)
And we got lucky someone left coffee behind so our lil guys 4:30 wake up call at least had that lol.
Very cute house, close to restaurants ( def recommend the Relic smoke house for bbq. The spray park is close with tons of parking. For breakfast Elmer’s was great and kid friendly! Thanks for a great trip!

Great location! Great Accommodations!
We loved everything about it. It worked out really well for our family of 13. The kids spent lots of time "in the playground in the back yard" when we weren't at Silverwood. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely house with us. Beth and Bruce

Dirty and in serious need of repair! Very disappointing!
How this house has garnered five star reviews is beyond me. It is over a mile to most restaurants and 1.4 miles to the lake, making it walkable for some but definitely not all, of our party. The house itself is in a state of disrepair in general; The front screen door doesn't close unless shoved into place with force; the paint is literally peeling from the window sills outside; the yard is half dirt/rocks with a cracked concrete patio and various trash, old bikes, etc strewn about; we had to repair the fence in 3 spots so that it was actually serviceable for dogs; the dishwasher was broken, leaving us hand washing dishes by hand for 9 people; we had to ask them to repair the bed downstairs (which the owner's father kindly did) so that it was usable; there were no batteries for the remotes and the tv upstairs didn't work (we were told they "always have trouble with it"); the kitchen is a complete mess with pots and pans stacked with pyrex stacked with tupperware. Overall it needs some upkeep and TLC. Despite all of this, the larger issue for us was the cleanliness of the house. It was deplorable. The table cloth outside was filthy and covered with food stains; we found cereal under the couch, a used makeup sponge on the bathroom floor (gross) and various other items and dirt left behind. The walls are in serious need of deep cleaning, as is the rest of the house. The floor was so dirty that we learned to not walk around with bare feet or they became black on the bottom. I communicated all of this to the owner within the first day of our stay. His first response answered some questions but mainly made excuses for the state of the home. My next two messages to him, one requesting at least a partial refund in order to compensate for these issues, have thus far been ignored. If this were my first time renting from VRBO I don't think I'd ever use the service again! Luckily we have always had beautiful. clean homes. This home however, I would seriously advise against. The house we rented last year, right on Hayden lake, was the same size and cost for a lovely home.

Nice and clean. a real family home with plenty of space, very enjoyable
We had a super time. Lots of space and very homey. Unfortunately it was too hot in CDA to use the backyard. The bikes were alot of fun, wish the Kayak had been available. A bit old-fashioned (no disposal or icemaker). Would still recommend to all.

Big house, great location, very clean
A great spot right in the downtown area, walking distance to most everything. Some nice restaurants, pubs, and shopping near by. House is bigger then it looks from the outside, lots of room.

Seven of us Norwegian cousins came together to get better acquainted and learn about our roots. Andrew's house was like stepping into a very nicely furnished home, comfortable and perfect for us in every way: It was spacious and clean, the beds comfortable, bedding, linens, and bathroom items were fresh and abundantly stocked. Interesting art and artifacts graced the home. The spacious kitchen was supplied with all the necessary equipment needed to cook for a group of any size plus the refrigerator held butter and condiments. We enjoyed the large dining room and the two living room areas for meeting together. This was important to us because it rained the whole time we were there but we didn't feel "cooped up". The location of the house is ideally located for easy access from the freeways and walking to the Lake or nearby parks. I would heartily recommend this charming house to a family or a group. Be aware the stairs leading to the basement bedrooms are steep and there is no bathroom which could be challenging for older adults. The second floor stairs are likewise steep but there is a nice bathroom and good size bedrooms with bunk beds. There is only one bedroom on the main floor, king size and nicely furnished. We are grateful to have found such a nice place and would return in a heart beat if the opportunity presented itself.
