Located an easy walk just two blocks from the heart of Haines this newly remodeled cottage has one bedroom, living room with a pull-out couch, and a full kitchen. Dine at home overlooking the water in a private vacation rental with everything you need. Wi-Fi, TV no smoking, no pets. PLEASE NOTE: Pets are not allowed anywhere on the property of The Cottage. Bringing a pet that stays anywhere on The Cottage property (even in a vehicle) will result in the automatic loss of your security deposit. The owner reserves the right to charge for any additional fee necessary for clean up or damage as a result from pets or guests on The Cottage property. Maximum occupancy 2 adults and 2 children under 18 yrs. Not suitable for two couples traveling together. Price is for 2 adults. Children 13 & under are free. Children 14-18 are $10/child/night

Perfect place to stay! Walking distance to everything. Views of the water and mountains. We received a discounted price on our local excursion for booking with Randa. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and had a well appointed kitchen. Randa was able to accommodate us with early check in and later check out times to coincide with the ferry schedule. Overall perfect trip!

Our plans almost cratered completely when our flight from Juneau canceled. Randa was able to fix us up with a cruise from Juneau instead! Excellent host!

We stayed here over a holiday weekend and while the weather was not always cooperative, we still had time to enjoy the deck and beautiful views that this rental cottage has to offer. It’s very comfortably sized and has the basic essentials to get you through a short stay. Communication with the property manager was always prompt. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to another one in the future!

The town of Haines is amazing, we discovered. Vast beauty and wonderful people. The quaint cottage fit right in...the view is beyond beautiful.

We stayed here for two weeks. It was warm, cozy and plenty of hot water. Woke up and enjoyed watching the sun come over the mountains. Close to everything. Saw whales a few times from the deck. If you are sensitive to light or would just like to sleep in past 4:00am, bring your own eye masks, white mini blinds in the bedroom.

Clean, comfortable, and a great location. Excellent communication. Very helpful, allowed us to drop our bags when we arrived early and to stay a bit later because we had a 1pm shuttle. Very well appointed kitchen, good WiFi, and a beautiful view from the deck. I can't say enough positive things about the cottage and also about Haines. Thank you very much!

This was a super location - close to all the main restaurants, bars, and the harbour. The view from the private deck was just unbelievable and we enjoyed every second out there. Great communication and easy check-in and check-out. Would definitely stay here again!

The Cottage I missed

Unfortunately due to a medical emergency and admission to Juneau hospital, we were unable to make it to Haines to stay in the cottage. The property manager was gracious, in spite of us not having trip insurance, and refunded one of the two nights upon notice that we wouldn't make it.

The pictures of the view can't begin to capture the immense beauty of mountains over the water. The vacation rental is wonderfully comfortable and has a nice kitchen. Haines has amazing hiking, great food and super friendly, laid back people. Can't say enough good about this place, it is just perfect!

Loved my stay in this cozy little cottage. I took my parents and son (infant) with me on a trip to explore Haines in October. I knew it was off-season, so was nervous about keeping busy. The central location of this rental and lovely view made it easy to relax inside, explore downtown and go for many beautiful walks. Thank you!

The best place for a family to stay in Haines

We went to Haines to support our sons at a swim meet and I am soo glad that we booked the Cottage. It was conveniently located - close to the down town (re stores and the two restaurants that were open) and a short walk to the beach AND If you follow the owners instructions - it is not too hard to find :) I loved having our own space where we could just hang out. The two things that really stood out for me were: firstly the kitchen. In winter there are not a lot of dining options for visitors to Haines. Throw a couple vegetarians into the mix and having a place where you can prepare and eat your own food was fantastic. Secondly, the view from the kitchen / front deck was absolutely stunning. Yes it helped that we had crystal clear days and the mountains were all painted with fresh snow - but they were larger than life. The cottage situates you to look out over the inlet at them. That meant so much to me that I didn't even turn the tv on once the entire time we were there. Insider tips to make your stay great: The Master bedroom has a nice firm mattress and the pull out chesterfield / bed was rather soft. Plan your sleeping arrangements appropriately. Be sure to bring an alarm clock with you if you have a schedule. Timed swim meets do not work on northern time. coffee - they have a coffee maker and all the filters but no coffee when we were there. The tragedy was that I didn't realize this till the first morning and the store wasn't open. With a bit of pre-planning (the store is also close) you can be saved my pain :) The cottage provides a great alternative to staying in a generic hotel. It feels like staying at a friends well appointed summer cabin. Thank you Randa you have done a lovely job. We look forward to staying with you again.

Very nice location on the water with great views on a clear day. Nice to have a full kitchen. A bit of a hill to walk up to go to town, but close to town. The Sheldon Museum & Hammer Museum were interesting, as was the totem poll being carved out front. Brewery & nice yarn store not too far of a walk. Thai restaurant & others in town good. Float trip, kayaking & fishing all right there. I would definitely stay again & recommend it to others.
