We really enjoyed this apartment which is much bigger and more luxurious than a hotel room would have been. The place was easy to find, it allowed me to program my own door code, and the King-sized bed was sublime (best mattress EVER). We literally walked all over town, quite easily, from this place. It's also very close to restaurants (we recommend Cochon), and the World War II museum. It's relatively quiet (compared to elsewhere around NOLA) so it's a perfect place to go back to at the end of the day. :) We enjoyed our interactions with the hosts, and the place was immaculate. It was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend for a couple or a small family. Kitchen is pretty well stocked. Bathroom is small but fine.

Loved this incredible historic property perfectly situated in the warehouse district. The reserved parking was a very nice bonus. The rooms had high ceilings and remained comfortably cool and quiet. It was very spacious, open and relaxing. We felt secure and the location was easily accessible. Truly enjoyed our stay.

The owner accommodated a very early check for us which was very much appreciated. The place was perfect for us and conveniently located to everything we were planning during our stay. We could not have been happier and would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay here, about one block from the mardis gras parades and walking distance to the French quarter. It is in an older building, with original floors and hardwood, but everything worked well and when one thing didn't work they were in immediately to fix it.

Loved the space, wish we could have opened the front windows for breeze, understand it might not be safe but it was beautiful out.
Glassware would be nice instead of plastic cups
Guy downstairs was not cool yelling about the noise that an old house makes.

We were very happy with our rental. The French doors to the back balcony coupled with the high ceilings transform it to a welcoming indoor-outdoor space. Comfortable bed; great oversized couch and dining area. Could use a few more cooking supplies for a long stay, but adequate for a week. Two block walking distance to coffee, restaurants, galleries, spin studio. Recommend: Ogden Museum, Contemporary Art, WWII Museum. Beyond restaurants on all the lists, in walking distance recommend Carmo, Sofia, Little Beet, Seaworthy. Tour Cycle is a nice spin studio a block away.

The apartment was clean, though an older building, not surprisingly, and spacious for a one bedroom. Had everything there we needed, including a small styrofoam cooler that we used when we were out birding for couple of days. Easy access to the building and apartment (as long as you read your email carefully ;-) It was great to have an off street parking spot. Thanks for a great visit!

This was my first experience with using Home Away. The house truly lives up to its description and I was not disappointed. A little noise , if there are people above you, but this was not a large problem, once you take into consideration the age of the home. Everything was clean and well provided. The property is very conveniently located, so that we could walk to local restaurants and bars, and accessing streetcars or buses was easy. Truly enjoyed the back porch, but was a little disappointed that we could not access the front balcony. I found that for a 2 people the "apartment" was a perfect size. I am sure that if we would have had anyone else with us, the pullout would have worked well. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax.
I hope that anyone who decides to stay at this location enjoys the it as much as we did.
Thanks Again - Kim & Peyton B.

The apartment is really spacious and has everything you need to stay in NOLA. Plus, the location is ideal for walking everywhere from the hip warehouse district, art district or even to the French Quarter. We did Uber to the French Quarter on occasion when we were tired. There is also an amazing grocery store a few blocks away to stock up on supplies. The only complaint is the noise from upstairs tenants. Maybe it’s the design of the building, or perhaps we had really loud neighbors, but you can hear every footstep like it’s a stomp and at 3am-5am it’s quite annoying.

Quirky, and fun area. So many things to do within walking distance. The only thing I would change is put people with small children on lower floor. Being an old building did not sound pleasant with child running back a forth all day.will stay agian

There is plenty of character in this historic home. It was great for a gathering of friends and family. The property manager was very accommodating when some unavoidable issues came up. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

What a great NO space!!! If possible, I will use this rental home each and every time I travel to New Orleans. Perfect accommodations for business traveler or couple!! Close and easy walk to FQ, Warehouse District, and Magazine St.

We rented multiple units in the house, and every room was well-kept and accommodating. The rooms were very charming and make you feel like you’re in New Orleans, not a generic hotel. The courtyard alone is worth staying here. What’s really unique is, this is a beautifully renovated historic property, but we were in the middle of downtown, so we were able to walk to the French Quarter and nearby restaurants.
Damon and Don went out of their way to help with anything we needed. They were extremely friendly and thorough in communication about what, when and where everything was. They also responded quickly to any questions we had.
Other items of note:
- Hardwood floors
- The second-floor balcony was good place to chill and drink coffee
- Beautiful and old courtyard
- The beds were extremely comfortable
- There was adequate space to unpack my luggage
- The bathrooms were new and clean
- The reserved parking space was a life saver.
I would rent this again in a heartbeat.

We rented 2 units from Damon for our first time in Nola. We were there for a wedding @ the Ogden Museum. It was a perfect location! Steps from the wedding, walking distance from great food, and the WW2 museum. We were also able to walk the the Harrah's casino and Bourbon street with no problems and not have to stay in the loud Bourbon party. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Wonderful cute apartment with tons of character!
We had a wonderful time in this apartment! There is tons of character in the whole building and it's amazing! The apartment was clean, functions, and cute. The back balcony was so fun to sit on. The apartment is centrally located, but also quiet! The reserved parking spot in the back is worth its weight in gold! The owners were wonderful to work with, we did not have any issues during our stay, but they assured us they were always available! Definitely recommend this apartment for a New Orleans trip :)

Wonderful apartment, would definitely stay here again!
Loved the charm of the place, and appreciated all the history given in the manual. We were very comfortable, and found it easy to walk to the French Quarter and other areas of interest. Communication was good, and Kevin was very helpful with a few questions we had, and quick to respond.

Fantastic condo in the Warehouse District
Loved my weekend stay at this condo. Very open space with just the right furniture and great character of the 175-year-old building. Yet still with all the modern conveniences. Was perfect for two, but more could have been comfortable, especially with the wide-open living space and two balconies. It was especially nice having reserved, off-street parking available with the rental. My only complaint was the early morning foot-stomping from the neighbors on the floor above, but that wasn't enough to ruin my stay. Would just pack earplugs for next time :).

Convenient to WWII Museum, Trolley route, and great restaurants.
My husband and I stayed at this charming, historic upstairs town house with high ceilings and hardwood floors. It has a big living area and spacious bedroom with a TV; and a modernized, cozy bathroom. The kitchen is small and basic with standard sized appliances. Hardly necessary to be anything else with such great nearby restaurants. A back porch is perfect to enjoy an evening glass of wine and cheese. We were pleased it had a washer/dryer and parking. The various towels were tired or limited. It could be improved with fresh linens. However, we managed well enough with what was provided.
We had a request for the owner and it was addressed quickly and to our satisfaction, which we greatly appreciated.
In addition to restaurants, we could easily walk to the St. Charles Ave. trolley line and several museums and art galleries as well. The grocery store was a few blocks away. We found this townhouse convenient to Magazine St, The CBD and The French Quarter.
We were very pleased with our accommodations.
