Awesome bed and shower! Super sweet property manager and perfect quiet neighborhood!

This little home is everything it is presented as. Great view. Quiet neighborhood. It seemed to be undergoing an update. The master bedroom is very comfortable. It could use a small tv, but other than that, good room. Tv room/second bedroom is ok. The matress on the hideaway sucks, but i guess they all suck. I'd replace it with a new matress. The couch is fine. The bathroom is nice. Nice enough my wifes wants me to replace our shower in the master suite in our home with a head system like this one. Kitchen is large, maybe a little large for the space. The toaster is ehhh. But works. I would replace the SMALL toaster oven with a toaster/airfryer combo( that way you can fry some fish you catch off the seawall with no mess)! The rest of the appliances are good. The table is great. I would use some of the kitchen or that large main bedroom for a small washer and dryer. (Maybe a small apartments style stack?)
But we loved this place and Cindy was great and communicated well and set expectations.
Stay here if you're not into the crowds and you will be theilled!

Beautiful area. It was a nice pleasant place to stay and to be away from the tourist environment. We recommend Johnson's Beach. Very clean beach and less people. Wolf's Bay Restaurant in Foley was wonderful. Fisherman's Corner is great as well.

The property was exactly as described and was an absolute hidden gem. Located on the water front on a dead end road in a tiny town, it is the kind of find that is once in a lifetime. The property manager Cheryl was super nice, met us at the property showed us the public beach accesses and gave us some great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Pirates Cove is an absolute must do while staying here! The only issue we had was a crazy neighbor who thinks she owns the public beach. We reached out and just informed the property owner about what she did and what we were doing and he was very responsive and apologetic. It is clear the lady just does not like that someone else on the road is renting out their property and is trying to scare his tennants of so we made sure he knew what happened in case she tried to cause him trouble and went on about our day.
The views from the house are spectacular and the waters of the bay are calm and warm. We saw lots of fish, hermit crabs, blue crabs, and clams. There are amazing clam shells to collect in the water. The water is shallow like 2 feet deep out for probably 75 feet and so as a parent you can relax just a bit more knowing your child is not one big wave or accidental few steps from big dangers. I cannot say wnough how much we loved this place besides to say that we absolutely plan to return and soon. I am hoping to go and work on my dissertation in the peaceful serenity that I found here.

Far enough away from the business but close enough to the shopping and beaches to make this the best place to stay. The sunrise is a must see. Cheryl is the sweetest person I think I have ever met. This is a place that I would recommend to everyone and plan on going back to.

Stay was ok. Easy quick stay for the weekend. Not too far away from the city sights.

After settling in, we noticed the tv wasn't working. Cheryl resolved the issue immediately. We enjoyed our stay. Try the roadkill cafe for lunch and Pirates cove for a bushwhacker!

Great place to get much needed rest and relaxation. Cute cottage, quiet location, perfect for what we needed. Will be staying here again. Cynthia, the property manager, is great. Very nice and friendly and very flexible with the schedule.

We really enjoyed this spot! We took our babies ( 4 & 1) and they had a blast! I would recommend if you take small children with you to use the water access on the right side (one has stairs that goes straight into the water and one that goes to sand then the water) or take water shoes for the other side entrance bc the stairs are covered in sharp clams.. but an absolutely beautiful place! No crowds so us parents could sit down and not have to worry about them getting lost in the people.. We will definitely be back!! Awesome experience!!

The property was clean, well cared for and had been updated. We enjoyed the birds in the morning and it was a nice area. It took about 30 minutes to get to Gulf Shores. Our property was on the waterfront but no beach access.

This is our second year to the area, first time at the cottage. We enjoyed the peaceful location and friendly people. We played golf, walked the beaches at gulf shores and fished. Had a great time and will be back. PS could use nobs on the cabinets and storage in the bathroom. Like the new bathroom. Cheryl is great

The rental was just as listed- it is in a remote area but 20 minutes from the beach. The property was very clean and has a new bathroom. Would stay there again!

This is our second year staying here during college baseball tourneys in Pensacola. Thanks to Cheryl, the check-in was smooth, and the house was spotless! The brand new bathroom is great and the rain-head shower appreciated (tho we liked the quirky old bathroom too 😀). Lewis was great to work with when we had a slight schedule change. If you want a quiet spot and don't mind driving about 45 minutes to get to civilization (we don't mind), this is the place to be! Thanks!! We will definitely be back again next Spring!!

Great secluded location which is what we wanted. First off the cabin has a musty smell. The furniture is probably the cheapest stuff that can be found and old, it has updated chairs for the dining table but they are folding “church chairs”. They’ve got plastic bags stuffed in the window cracks where the window unit a/c is in the dining area. Kitchen ceiling light is just an exposed light fixture with no globe on it and all 3 ceiling fans have sagging blades that are completely covered in dust that looks like it’s never been cleaned. The door facing the road doesn’t latch closed, simply just pushes open without turning the handle. The blinds are broken and sagging. The shower was nasty. The dryer at the main house had the electrical cord taped to the top of the unit so it wouldn’t arc and so it would stay running. Planned on staying for 4 nights but after one night of either a squirrel or rat chewing on something in the attic space above the bedroom kept us awake all night we decided to leave because we knew we were not going to get any sleep. Called the owner to report the issues and didn’t even get a sorry or any kind of response saying that he would look into the problems, just “ok” was all that was said. No kind of outdoor seating on the back patio, just a little table top grill on the ground.

I debated on leaving a review simply because I don’t want to share this great spot! 😂 My husband and I rented for a long weekend and the cabin/location was fantastic! The views, the fishing, the sweet manager Cheryl.. all of it! If you are looking for upscale luxury, close to all the action this place is definitely not for you but if you are looking for clean, quiet and a remote spot to recharge, this is it!! Can’t wait to come back next year and bring our whole family! Thanks again for the hospitality! ❤️

The cottage offered all that my husband and I require for a vacation. We like to be near water and be quiet. We don’t need shops/restaurants or entertainment- this location fits the bill.
The cottage accommodated our needs to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time.
The water off the beach (accessed by steps) was lovely and warm (September) and has a flat sandy bottom. The property is situated on a bay, but is affected by the tides slightly. The water is brackish and clean.
The property manager, Cheryl, was lovely and very helpful. There are no rules and regulations - it almost seems like we were using the cottage of a friend.

Cheryl was amazing!
Step up to shower & toliet may be a problem for those with mobility issues.
Kitchen was very spacious and well set up just could use some baking sheets, baking dishes and mixing bowls.
Overall very clean just the ceiling fans and cabinet door tops could use a good wipe down. There are 2 window units used to keep the space cool and worked well just that with window units you get a musty smell that remained on our belongings when left. Broken blinds really need to be replaced gave a run down look to an otherwise neat litte space. Big upside was the access to washer and dryer. Listing says in main house but is actually attached in small outbuilding so you are not actually going into the main house but do have to walk by windows of the main house that doesn't have any kind of covering so that was kinda weird.
Shared outdoor space made it feel like we were intruding on the guests in the main house and there were 2 different couples to rent the main house in the 4 days we were there but were very understanding and didn't mind at all even had good conversation with them while enjoying the water views. Bonus- got saw a dolphin one afternoon.
We live in a rural area so driving to get somewhere didn't bother us but know to get to any of the beaches and attractions there will be a little drive involved.
Would definitely rent again if in the area.

We absolutely loved this cute cottage. Best place we have stayed at in a very long time. Cheryl was amazing had it ready when we got there and was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. We will be returning!

Friendly cottage in a quiet, green neighborhood. We didn't use the nearby beach, which looked nice but not suitable for swimming with kids, and went to Pensacola / Orange Beach instead.

This area is very quiet and quaint. We enjoyed not having many people around us and the beautiful area. The host was very helpful and the property was very clean.

I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the cabin and the mater bed (King). It is quite a drive to town, so be prepared with supplies. Stocked well. Great support with management contact. Could use some outdoor lounge chairs for comfort, but we brought our own. The bay water is great for Kayak/Canoe/Fishing/Wading-Swimming.

Excellent 4 day stay. It has everything needed. Great for a couple or small family. It is about 35-40 minutes to the coast, so that is the only downside.

I don't feel the property was represented well. There was nowhere to sit outside, the grill was a tabletop model-but there was no table to cook on. It smelled musty inside. Let's talk about the shower..... there is a step up- about 18in to get in to the shower. That would've been a deal breaker for me right there had I known. You have to use a grab bar to pull yourself up to get in. And getting out was dangerous as well. A small step would've been nice and much safer. Most of the blinds are broken- that's a cheap fix for replacements. Bugs and frogs! Always bugs flying in and out. Frog scared me half to death going in to kitchen- kept jumping at me while I tried to get him outside. Found curtains in kitchen drawers. Almost no curtains up over the broken blinds. Some in kitchen and bedroom, but that was it. Kitchen was nice and new, but could've been better stocked with pans, no oven ware at all. It wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed, but definitely could've been so much better. Furnishings were old and should be updated. Positives: it was quiet and I felt safe. Linens were plentiful and clean. Wifi was good. Tv was good. Stove was okay, but I did feel like maybe the burners lost heat after a few minutes of cooking. No light bulb in hood. Only 1 light bulb working in all overhead lights. Need more chairs-rather-any chairs in LR. The sofa was okay, but not the easiest to get out of. Maybe put a nice shelf in BR besides sink. There was no place to put BR items. The wall outlet on shower wall came right out when I unplugged my dryer. Not secured at all in wall. Overall, it was just okay. Still needed painting done. Many things left to do to bring it up to 5 star status.

What a value! Humble exterior opens up to a very comfortable living space. Plenty of space for 2 adults and young child. Very very clean with comfortable vintage furniture, spacious kitchen with essentials for cooking, great towels. House plants! Gorgeous view of the bay to enjoy! Lovely quiet neighborhood, not too far to beaches and outdoor activities. Cheryl the property manager was so gracious and helpful
