We enjoyed our stay very much. We had many questions when we arrived. I would text to Jason. His responses were always quick, easy to understand and accurate. We would definitely stay at this location again if we find ourselves in the area! Thank you, Jason.

My wife and I came here for a weeklong getaway. This place was instantly comfortable. Very homelike feeling. The only thing that wasn't provided was our own food. Everything else is there! The surroundings are very peaceful. There are businesses attached to the building, but you wouldn't know it. Nobody bothered us at all, which is what we were looking for. Downtown Julian is very close and there are some very nice places to check out that are close by. We didn't need a lot of communication with Jason, but when we had questions, he got back to us very quickly. We want to make this a regular spot to stay when we need another getaway.

The property was clean and conveniently located across the street from a lovely brewery. There were some issues with check in. When we arrived at 4 (check in) the cleaning crew was at the property and we were asked to give them more time to clean. This is the third time I've stayed in Julian and the first time a rental property was not ready in time. We were given one additional hour for check out. Other than the late check in, we were happy with the property and location.

Good location, very close to Julian. Lol was a bit chilly. Overall a great stay

It was a great stay. The property had everything we needed. We loved the vinyl record player, which also had bluetooth connection. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed since we did some cooking. We really enjoyed the closeness to all the shops and restaurants in Julian. It was nice having Nickel Beer Co. right across the street. We actually spent an afternoon at the place. The host Jason was very responsive to my messages answering my annoying (probably) questions regarding the amenities. Great experience, it made our yearly Christmas vacation very enjoyable.

Great location, but very quiet. Charming little town. The only thing we didn’t like was the smell of water in shower well water .

Family enjoyed a weekend at this property. The home was as shown in the pictures on the website. The living/ dining room was larger than anticipated by viewing the pictures. The sleeping accommodations were very comfortable.
The host was great. Checked to see if we had arrived at our scheduled time. Since we arrived after dark, the hosts directions to parking were very helpful. Without these directions, it would have been a little difficult to find the parking location. The property is close to downtown Julian and a brewery.
We did take advantage of the games provided and listened to the vinyl records. The property has a telescope and bikes that we wished we would have taken advantage of.
The property does include a flight of stairs which could use better lighting on the upper landing.

Jason is a responsive polite host. Everything we needed was provided. The home is close to town and have a beautiful view.

This property is really unique. It is located near the center of the city, 15 minutes walk, at the same time it is very secluded and quiet. This is upstairs unit, downstairs are some business closed by 6 pm. Nobody around at night.
The unit is well equipped and clean. The owner is very friendly and ready to solve any problem. The only issue is the internet connection, it is very hectic. If you plan to work remotely, don't rely on it. Otherwise, everything is perfect. The area around is beautiful and very quiet. There is a nice beer bar across the street. It is not very crowded and closes at seven pm. If there are no clouds, you might enjoy a wonderful starry sky. I really enjoyed my stay over there.

We thorougly enjoyed our stay at Jason's place. There was plenty of space, it was quiet and just a very short drive (2 mins) into Julian. There is a brewery across the street but note that it closes at 7pm - we missed out on our first night because we didn't realise it closed so early! We had delicious pies at Mom's and excellent Mexican food at Quecho's in town.
Jason was a great communicator, responding very quickly to any queries we had. Thank you!

Jason is a wonderful host and his little apartment at the top of the stairs was a perfect getaway for me. The location is perfect, just outside town. I would definitely come back.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at Jason's rental. The apt was pretty warm when we first arrived since it was all closed up but it cooled down after we opened the door and windows. The apt has a portable AC unit which kept the whole place cool. It is as described on the website and very comfortable. We got some rain and lightning early Saturday morning but still enjoyed downtown Julian and a short hike at William Heise county park during the day. We were advised by the Park ranger to leave Julian Sat pm due to the predicted storm which we did. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again at this nice and comfy apt.

Everything on the property was amazingly clean, the property manager Jason was amazingly easy to communicate with and very accommodating to our needs/questions. I recommend this stay to anyone looking for a peaceful night(s), away from loud noise and city lights.

My husband and daughter stayed here for a couple of nights and loved it. The host was amazing and so attentive to us. The location was great , just walking distance into town. So peaceful at the same time. I highly recommend this place.

Charming one bedroom with living room and kitchen that was very close to downtown Julian. Jason did an excellent job communicating with us.

This was our first time in Julian and it was the best place to stay. If you love beer, there is a brewery right across the street with very friendly people. The place was clean, organized and cool during these past two hot days. 10/10 would recommend

This place is amazing. The listing was accurate, the host was A1 and super helpful when needed, and it was just overall beautiful. For two people in one car, the spot was amazing and sized perfectly. I would highly recommend for a max group of 4 people to fit comfortably. Town was super close, but I would drive rather than walk. Everything else is no more than about 15 mins away by car. Super convenient and a great small town getaway. Did I mention the host was amazing?! I would definitely come back and most likely will be booking again soon.

Enjoyed our stay again, beautiful time of year with lush green hills, blue skies and never seen the water lines so high! Always love the proximity to Nickel Beer Co and stress free simple comforts away from the crowds make for good family fun!

This is an incredible place for comfort and convenience. A spacious one bedroom with full bath and convenient kitchen area. Jason, our main contact, gave us all the info we needed well ahead of time and made our check-in easy with a combo lockbox right at the place. Great, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, warm, rustic, western decor, and just about one mile outside of main street Julian. Everything we could want at a great value.

Very clean and well laid out floor plan. Lots of games, excellent selection of vinyl records and good size little kitchen. Owner is an excellent communicator and checked in with us to make sure everything ran smoothly. Close to main part of city but it requires a walk along a highway so that was the only issue at an otherwise great rental.

It's just alittle outside of downtown but only a 2 minute drive. Great brewery/bar across the street.
The apt. was clean and comfortable, the bed was very nice. Jason replied to any question quickly and followed up on us to see if arrived ok and to say goodbye! It was a very pleasant experiance.

Stayed here for a weekend trip to Julian. Great location and very charming place to stay. The record player with old records was fun. I recommend this rental and would not hesitate to stay here again.

My wife and I needed a getaway away from normal life. Julian had exactly what we were looking for and this Vrbo home fit our needs to a t. Plenty of room for us to spread out while giving us the privacy we desired. The home was clean, ready on time, easy to get in and out of and more than enough amenities to enjoy our stay. Suffice to say, our goal of relaxation away from home was accomplished.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Even our teenager thought this place was cool! It's nice and quiet at night, and you can hear the frogs in the pond croaking at night. Beautiful sounds of nature. It's a great central location for exploring the area. Mount Palomar (and its observatory) in one direction, and the desert in another. Many trails to explore. We felt we could genuinely relax here. We really liked and appreciated the little extras that were included that you don't always find in other locations, such as additional toiletries, condiments, teas and coffee, games, and even a record player with records from decades ago. We really enjoyed going through these records! Communication with Jason was also great, with no long list of do's and don'ts and possible fines. Thank you again Jason for a fantastic place to stay! We would definitely recommend this property to others.

The place is better in person than in the photos. It has everything you need and more. The location is quiet despite being close to the main road. I wish weather was better so we could walk to town. Regardless we had a great trip and the host was very communicative. I will definitely stay here again.

Can’t beat the location of this little apartment in Julian! Close enough to downtown for convenience while not being in the middle of the hustle and bustle so it was nice and quiet! Perfect space for our little family and the owner was fantastic and prompt in communication! I’ll definitely kee it in mind for our next vacation!

Exactly as advertised and better in person. Cozy, quaint, charming, clean and great location. Host was super responsive and helpful to questions before and during stay. Great getaway! Highly recommend.

This property looks even better in person. There are so many unique touches all around the house that make it extra special. It was very comfortable and clean and the surrounding area outside is gorgeous. The host is attentive and easy to get in touch with. I loved my stay and highly recommend.

Our family stayed in this property for a weekend getaway to Julian. It has everything you need for a quick meal, to play games or just sit back and read a book. Jason is a great host and made sure all our questions were answered. We have stayed here quite a few times and will keep coming back.
5.0
Our stay was great, the property description was accurate. Cozy, comfortable, well stocked and maintained. Check in and out was super easy. Jason was very responsive, courteous and flexible. The walk into "town" was short (10-15 min with a child) but somewhat precarious given no sidewalks, walking on uneven ground, and fast traffic. Our stay was right after Christmas and there was a lot of crowds in julian with take out delaying to to 2 hours or restaurants flat out not taking further orders. So make sure you prepare for this by planning ahead or brining your own food. You access the property using a short gravel road and to get into the property you go up a set of stairs. I would suggest bringing a flashlight for safety should you go out at night. For people with mobility challenges this may be too difficult.

This property is a great value. Inside, it is clean and comfortable and has everything a couple would need. Kitchen is well stocked. Plenty of towels, blankets, soaps, etc. Loved the location super close to downtown Julian, but just far enough away to not feel the crowds.
As other have mentioned, the heater took about 8 hours to get the unit to a comfortable temperature. Once it did, it worked great. I would suggest the owner turn the heater on a few hours before check in to help speed up the process.
A wonderful property and the property manager was a pleasure to deal with.

All in all a great experience. Nice, clean place and the host was very friendly.
