Away from the hustle and bustle Walking distance (7 minutes) to Good Earth (best health food store in Marin) and downtown Fairfax (we will show you the shortcut). Fairfax is a small quaint town which has kept its original flavor and offers family as well as gourmet restaurants, a 6 movie theaters, 4 live music venues, gorgeous hikes and an Eldorado of biking trails (as a matter of fact Fairfax claims to be the cradle of mountain biking), farmers market and lots of small shops where treasures can still be found. This town has its own way of making you feel at home with its people walking and chatting in the streets, particularly around the downtown's Coffee Roastery. The typical Fairfaxian life style is casual and relaxed. This is a beautiful hillside property offering stunning views of the surrounding hills. The neighborhood is friendly and slow paced, minutes away from hiking trails overlooking the San Francisco Bay Area. From your rental you have access to our private BBQ area hidden in the oak trees. The big deck is ideal for relaxation with small table and chairs.

We had a lovely time at this vrbo. Thomas was extremely kind and accommodating, and we would recommend this place to anyone interested in a vrbo in this area. You can't go wrong, here! We will definitely be back.

Nous avons passé une semaine chez Thomas, et nous sommes réellement enchantés.L'appartement correspond exactement aux photos et je dirais même mieux. Celui-ci est décoré avec goût et est très confortable. Nous étions 4 adultes et nous étions parfaitement à l'aise dans cet appartement très bien équipé. Nous avons aussi profité de la jolie terrasse. Le matin le soleil se lève directement face a cette terrasse, MAGNIFIQUE. Nous avons aussi très bien dormi, la literie est de très bonne qualité et nous étions dans un quartier très calme. Nous avons apprécié les petites attention de Thomas et de son épouse. De très jolies fleurs fraiches et une bouteille de vin nous attendaient. La cuisine est très bien équipée et il y a même quelques courses qui étaient dans le frigo ( eau , beurre ,lait) du thé du café. Suffisant pour notre 1er petit déjeuner américain. En attendant de faire nos courses. les magasins sont proches et bien fournis. Nous étions à 20 mn de San Francisco. Et proches de beaucoup de jolies balades Nous remercions Thomas et son épouse pour leur accueil et si l'occasion se représente nous reviendrons. A bientôt Dominique et sa famille

if you are a TV watcher (like my family is), be sure to have your own means of watching. It wasn't something i was concerned about checking before arrival, but found out when i got there that there were no TVs. However, we were VERY busy with travel so it didn't matter too much, but i do like to watch TV to wind down. But all in all, hands down a great place to stay!!!! one FOREWARNING. do NOT mistake the salt for sugar! LOL... makes for a YUCKY coffee! I'd be more than happy to stay here again! Thomas was very easy to coordinate with. The home itself is clean and comfortable and was outfitted with fresh fruit, flowers, bottled water, and a nice bottle of wine. The balcony has stunning views! Thanks for a great stay!

Tomas and Anita's attention to detail was clear to see. Spotlessly clean rooms, large bedrooms and comfortable main living room with loads of space if the weather wasn't so good outside ...... but Marin County did not disappoint, so the east facing balcony was just perfect for a sunny breakfast or to enjoy the evening's view across the valley enjoying a glass of wine in the cooling air. We even got to use the BBQ in the garden area down the hill. Everything you could possibly want in the kitchen and bathroom. Even fruit and a bottle of wine left, milk & butter in the fridge and the ice tray full in the freezer. A few books and magazines and plenty to catch up on with our globetrotting Son, and we didn't even notice there was no TV. Really can't speak highly enough about this great place. We used it as a base to explore Tiburon, Sausalito, the vineyards to the north east and of course into San Francisco. We wouldn't hesitate to book it again if we come back to this lovely area of CA. Thanks

Very well equipped apartment, very welcoming hosts! Laid back and quiet neighborhood - was perfect for our family of 4. A 6 min walk from Good Earth grocery store, and not very far from the rest of 'downtown' Fairfax. About 35 minutes from San Francisco. Thanks again!

My father and I stayed at this lovely home for 4 nights and we absolutely loved it! The owner was there to kindly greet us when we arrived. He and his wife had a basket of fruit, fresh cut flowers, and a bottle of wine ready for us. The home was immaculate, cozy, and in a peaceful location high up in the hills, and it had a magnificent view of the San Francisco Bay area. We thoroughly enjoyed the view from the the living room balcony from both the inside of the house and while sitting outside on the long wrap-around deck. The house had everything we could ask for. The beds were really comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and even more. The owner made himself readily available for anything we might need or any questions we had. The location is perfect! It's far enough away from the busy San Francisco area, and yet close enough to drive there. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful retreat away that allows you to get away from it all. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was fabulous. Easy access to Muir Woods and the Larkspur Ferry. Only 30 minutes to San Francisco. Thomas was very nice and accommodating. Access to a washer and dryer was great. We would stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was very convenient for our needs, easy access to the city and the country side. The apartment is very comfortable and quiet, very clean, comfortable beds. The view from the balcony was a delight every morning. I would love to stay there again.

I'm from New Jersey and it was our first time visiting California and let me tell you, the minute we spoke to Thomas, he accomodated us with everything you needed. The minute we got there, he was extremely helpful with directions and basically what to do around the area. The home was cozy and absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view. The home had everything you needed, from coffee to towels to an incredibly comfortable bed. This was by far the best stay we have had in America. Thomas brought an amazing energy and was such a great soul. I recommended this 50 out of 10 that's how great it was. Will do it over and over and over. Thank you Thomas, your home was our getaway.

We found the apartment delightful in every way: beautifully decorated, comfortable, private, and peaceful. The owners provided ample linens and coverlets for the cool, rainy days we were there, a kitchen with all that we needed, and comfortable beds. In an area where parking is scarce, we always had a place to park. All that, and a wonderful view will make this our first choice for return visits to Marin County.

I had the good fortune of finding this property at the last minute for a short stay over the holidays with my two teenage sons. We were welcomed by a fabulous host, fresh cut flowers, a basket of fruit, comfy beds, beautiful artwork, a well-appointed kitchen and a lovely view. Everything was as advertised, the market at the bottom of the hill is amazing, the location is great. We will definitely stay here again if possible!
