The 2 br apartment is situated above a private garage accessed by stairs, loaded with everything you need for a 5 star stay whether it's for 1 night, a week, or more. A living room to hang out in and a full kitchen to either heat up your leftovers from a restaurant, or make a quick meal before heading out to explore more is a better value compared to a 1 room bnb. Choice linens and varied pillows for a great night sleep. We do not charge a cleaning fee and we just ask for you to do a couple of things before you check(no cleaning)out. This was our third year in a row staying at this location for a yearly event. It is perfect for our needs: great location, great communication, clean, and comfortable. Not large by any means, but able to accommodate 4 adults without sharing beds. We'll most likely be back again next year. Great hospitality.

We had a much needed girlfriend’s mini getaway. The Waldernhaus in Cedarburg was exactly how described. The owner Kathy was attentive and so ready to help when our vehicle got a flat tire. Nice place and nice owner. We liked a lot!

Quiet, charming & incredibly comfortable 2 bdrm/1 bath includes parking & no cleaning fee! Great nights' sleep! All amenities you could need. Love having a full kitchen & relaxing living room with a great TV (Netflix, Live TV, etc) after a fun day out and about! Great dining options a few steps away! Cream & Crepe (yummy soups & sandwiches), Chocolate Factory (try a turkey/blackberry jam sub & ice cream malt), Java House for satisfying coffee & tea, Donut Monster for from scratch english muffins, don't miss The Art of Joy for Non-A & unique Alcoholic beverages. Historic Stagecoach Inn is really fun! Caramel apples? Go to Amy's! Shopping faves include Apothecary at "the mill", Cedarburg Art Museum (wow!), Penzey's Spices, Weeds for tea & gifts. Cannot wait to return to this "home away from home". Thanks for an amazing experience and all the helpful tips.

Stayed here with for a quick family, Christmas-y getaway from the Chicago ‘burbs. Everything related to the apartment was easy and straight-forward. Kathy made the extra effort to leave a bag of goodies for our toddler, which was so kind and unexpected. We stayed on a Monday night, so a couple restaurant and shop options were closed, but there were still plenty of places pop in and browse. Definitely want to return when the weather is warmer - looks like the town is equipped nicely for a lot of outdoor dining experiences!

We had an amazing trip to Cedarburg. Our apartment was right on the same street as all the shops and restaurants. We were able to easily drop off items we didnt want to carry. As we walked and shopped, the perfect snow fell making us feel like we were part of a Hallmark Christmas movie. The apartment was perfect for the 4 of us ladies. We'll be back next year for sure!

Our family came to Cedarburg to enjoy Thanksgiving with our son who attends CUW and lives in Cedarburg. From the beginning of our booking Kathy helped us by suggesting a place to order our holiday meal and providing details about Cedarburg’s festive Friday events. Upon arrival day Kathy was in touch with us. She made sure to provide a tablecloth, napkin linens, extra chairs and surprised us with a beautiful handcrafted centerpiece for our Thanksgiving celebration. We felt so cared for and were so comfortable in the wonderful property. The location could not be better, the host could not be more kind or more attentive. The property is well stocked, incredibly clean, and provides an unparalleled level of comfort. If visiting the lovely town of Cedarburg definitely book a stay at the Wandernhaus. We will be back!!

We have visited Cedarburg for years for fun events like Wine Fest, Halloween/Pumpkin Walk, and during the holiday season. It’s such a great little getaway to what feels like a Hallmark village. We love to stroll the main street for great shopping and dining. We found this rental two years ago and we keep coming back! It’s always super clean, and the owners take great care to make sure you have an excellent stay. They make communication and check-in super easy. But my favorite thing is that the owners leave super thoughtful touches throughout the apartment, like fresh flowers, seasonal decorations, fun little treats for kids, etc. My daughter is 4 and she even appreciates the care that they put into making guests feel welcome. And the location is absolutely perfect, as well. It’s located right on the main street (Washington), so you can park in their lot and just walk everywhere while you’re in town. I highly recommend visiting Cedarburg and staying at this rental!

We walked pretty much everywhere for shopping and food. The apartment was stocked with so much stuff, you could live there with just your clothes! There is a steep set of about 14 steps up to the apartment which is a challenge getting in and out with luggage. Otherwise, everything was fine!
If coming to Cedarburg during the “off season”, be aware that many places are closed on certain week days. Starting your visit on Tuesday or Wednesday is wise during this time of year.

This place is perfect! Right downtown. Easily walk to all the restaurants, wineries, shops, and cafes. Just park your car and relax! It’s very quiet too. A little set back from the main street. And it’s VERY clean! The owner has all the essentials provided. We enjoyed the coffee, tea and even the extra little snacks. The beds are very comfortable. We will be back!!!!

Very comfortable and perfect location to check out the local shops and restaurants. The property manager was very helpful by keeping us informed of local events, made great recommendations, and let us know of road closures for when we headed into Milwaukee for a concert. I also left behind my iPad which she was helpful in locating and leaving out for my niece to pick up on her way through town.

The apartment was clean, cute, and cozy, and at a fantastic location. We were right on Washington, the main street in Cedarburg, with all the restaurants and shops up and down the street from us. We were very centrally located and could walk when we went out to eat and shop and to the concert on Friday night in Cedar Creek park. I highly recommend it..

Very nice stay, comfortable beds, nice kitchen, living room ,bedrooms and clean bathroom.
Only suggestion is for clients not to have to undo beds and get laundry ready. Excellent spot near great restaurants, room comes with off street parking (big plus).

Great place! The Host is great with communication, thoughtful with lots of items you may need available. Place is very clean. Stayed because it was walking distance to wedding we were attending, so our only regret was not being able to enjoy it as much as we would have liked to, so we are talking about staying again to enjoy it and the shops all around it.

We had the most amazing time visiting Cedarburg! Wandernhaus was the absolute perfect place to stay! Kathy and Marty have a beautiful place that had everything we needed and more. Just the cutest place. It was such a comfy cozy place to stay. Loved the special touch of fresh flowers in each room! Their location also could not have been more perfect. We walked to shops, food and drinks. There was live music right across the street, along with a few other locations within walking distance. We did take a short drive to visit the Covered Bridge County park, Lions Den Gorge Nature Preserve and Port Washington to see Lake Michigan. We had a great visit and will definitely be back again to stay at Wandernhaus! Thank you, Kathy & Marty for sharing your place!

Kathy & Marty were great hosts. The apartment was very clean, with everything we needed plus more!
We came to Cedarburg to ride our bikes on the interurban trail. We asked about garage space to store our bikes prior to booking and Kathy let us put our bikes in one of their garages which worked out great!
We rode our bikes from the apartment to the trail so we didn’t have to transport them by car. The first day we rode north about 7 miles toward Port Washington. The 2nd day we rode to Milwaukee which was a 20 mile ride each way. The trails were well marked.
We followed the suggestions of Kathy for places to eat and weren’t disappointed. We ate at Stilt House for lunch and had a strawberry salad and mushroom flatbread. Both were excellent! That evening we weren’t as hungry so we walked down to The Chocolate Factory for an ice cream and Broccoli soup to go. Brought the soup back and ate it on the patio and enjoyed the nice evening weather. We also tried Brunch one morning and enjoyed their food as well.
The location of the apartment was perfect & within walking distance to all the shopping & restaurants. On site parking was a bonus. The flowers are all so beautiful and even my husband said he enjoyed looking at them!
There was music playing across the street when we arrived on a Sunday night. It gets a bit quieter on Mondays ( which we were good with) .
We definitely recommend Kathy’s place and would stay there again.

I stayed with my daughter and niece for a girls weekend. The apartment has enough space for 2 vehicles, which was perfect for us. We were so close to all the restaurants and shops, we walked everywhere and once the car was parked, we never used it again until it was time to leave. The apartment was really cute, clean and well stocked with everything you'd need. I'd stay there again!

The apartment was in a great location right in the middle of everything in Cedarburg. It was a quick 20 – 25 minutes into Milwaukee. The kitchen had everything I needed to make meals for my family. The living room had two cozy sofas with soft / fluffy blankets. The beds were extremely comfortable. The outdoor seating was a nice touch. There were fresh flowers in the rooms, unicorn sheets for my daughters and a solar system night light. The owner when out of her way to make us feel welcome and was very responsive.
The town was a slice of heaven. Great shops and restaurants. Within a 5-minute walk we found a toy store, candy shop, and ice cream place next to each other. We also found a great playground at Cedar Creek Park. We would definitely stay here again.

This little apartment should be the standard against which all vacation rentals are judged. From the second we booked, we had great communication from the hosts. When we arrived, there was even a birthday balloon for me!
The apartment itself is cozy, sparkling clean, and comfortable. It’s welcoming, and the hosts go above and beyond to think of even little amenities and thoughtful touches—outlets easily accessible for bedside device charging, sweet little fresh flower bouquets placed around the house, little extras (toiletries, bandaids) just in case. The beds were so comfortable, too!
The location is also perfect. Cedarburg couldn’t be more charming, and this little apartment is right there by almost everything you could want. We enjoyed so many great cafes, restaurants and shops, most of which were recommended by our hosts prior to our arrival!
We had a fantastic stay. We can’t wait to come back, and we can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you, Marty and Kathy, for being such excellent hosts!

The unit was perfect! It was very clean and had everything we needed, including games! The beds were very comfortable and everything was wonderful about the unit! The location couldn’t have been more perfect! Right where all the shops and restaurants are located- just walk right out the door!

We live just in Milwaukee, and have been to Cedarburg many more times than I can count. Usually we just go for the afternoon, and occasionally we have splurged on the Washington House Inn B&B. This particular stay, we were looking for a close base for the Memorial Day parade, as my husband was participating in a Vietnam Living History display as well as the parade. Like I said, we've been to Cedarburg a lot. This stay, well it gave us an entirely new viewpoint of the town. We absolutely loved every moment we stayed and didn't want to leave! Every creature comfort was provided; all those little touches you didn't realize you needed. She had everything there for you, including phone chargers and reading glasses. The bed was extremely comfortable, as well as the seating area. Loved their outdoor area that they welcomed us in. Staying here..

Wanted a short getaway. Shops were cute and restaurants amazing. Stopped at Stilt House, Anvil Pub and Grill and Fiddleheads. All places had patios to ear outside. Very enjoyable. The location of our guest house was perfect everything was within walking distance. Our hostess Cathy was helpful answering all our questions. I’d stay here again 😄

My two daughters and I had a wonderful stay here. The apartment was very cozy with lots of nice welcoming touches and amenities. Check-in was very easy. The location can't be beat and we loved just walking out the door and being right in the midst of the cute downtown to walk to restaurants and shops.

My wife and I came to Cedarburg to visit family. We truly enjoyed the hospitality from owners of this rental. From the moment we booked the property until we left, there was great communication. We were able to walk to downtown Cedarburg, enjoying all the unique shops and boutiques. We definitely plan to use this spot again.

Location, location, location! Cedarburg is an old town with limited parking. This property is centrally located on the main street, but off the street enough to not be bothered by traffic noise. It is an easy walk to cute stores and restaurants and scenic walking path.

My sister and I brought our 83-year-old mother to Cedarburg for a weekend visit, partly to return to the farmhouse her great-great grandfather built, where she spent time as a child. Marty & Kathy are so kind in the set up of their rental property! There was a bluetooth speaker, ice pre-made in the freezer, fresh flowers in the kitchen and bedrooms and cute holiday decor!
Kathy was very responsive, attentive and thoughtful in her messages.
We stayed for two nights and were close enough to walk almost EVERYWHERE we wanted to go. We enjoyed delicious pastries at Boulangerie de Monde and delicious coffee at the Cedarburg Coffee Roastery. We had a fabulous lunch, sitting outside on Cedar Creek next to the waterfall at Anvil Pub & Grille and enjoyed dinner at Farmstead on the south end of town.

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and cute condo. The host spent time letting us know the best places to eat and even the days they were closed during the week. The town is quaint and we enjoyed cruising through the shops. The host supplied everything we needed to make our own meals (if and when we cared to do so) and all appliances were in good working shape. Thanks Kathy and Marty for supplying a great place to stay on our yearly girl’s trip. Only thing I might note is you need to be able to do a number of stairs if staying here.
