This house was truly very nice. Spacious, in great shape, nicely furnished, unusually well supplied. It was inside the Mauna Kea resort area which is very nice. The house was every bit as nice as the pictures make it look; or really nicer. Ocean views from the master and two different decks, its own pool with a separate pool house suite. A nice airy feel to the main house. Communication with the owner and the property manager was excellent. They were very responsive and accommodating. All in all, this was an excellent vacation rental experience.

It was our second time staying at this property and we loved it as much as the first! Very clean, great location and super responsive property manager. Nothing but great things to say about this house. The biggest issue is finding a time that isn't already booked!

We stayed at the beautiful home for 4 weeks. We had friends and family come in for different periods. The home is exactly as pictured and in a great location. Access to both the Mauna Kea Resort amenities and the Westin Hapuna were awesome. We spent time at both resorts and spent other days traveling around the island. We have been coming to Hawaii for 30 years and really loved being able to access Kona and Waimea. This home is VERY well stocked. Before going to the grocery store visit the house first to see what you will really need. Lissette, the property manager was incredibly responsive with any questions or issues!

What an amazing resort-style home. All of the bells and whistles! Beautiful views of the Pacific and Kohala volcano. Perfectly located to explore the less-traveled North end of Hawaii, including Hawi, Waimea, Waipio Valley, as well as the resort areas of Mauna Kea, Mailina Lani and Waikaloa.
It was so relaxing there were days that we wouldn’t even leave the property. The home was beautifully appointed. The Master Suite was both spacious and warm. Did I mention the views?
The management was super friendly and easy to work with. We will definitely look for another opportunity to return to this relaxing paradise!

We really enjoyed our stay. Lisette was very helpful and a great communicator. The home was perfect for us and our three adult sons and partners. Plenty of room for everyone and the pool was wonderful for playing and cooling off. Just wish the development had more walking paths! A car is important for getting around. But still a lovely place.

This house made our family vacation to Mauna Kea very enjoyable! The location was our favorite part! We loved the openness of the large rooms and the different places in the house to relax. The pool was smaller than expected but still a nice touch for the kids to enjoy! The communication with the owner and manager was easy! We will definitely be back!!

Would absolutely stay here again. Big, beautiful house that was perfect for our family of four plus my mother in law (who loved the separate pool house). The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could need to cook, and we really appreciated the bikes and beach toys. What really made it were the outdoor shower/bath and being able to sip coffee or a beer on one of the many decks/balconies/lanai.
Shannon and Lissette made things very easy. We elected to register to use the club and would probably do that again too.

Peaceful Oasis
This was a great place for our family of older teen boys and adults. We took full advantage of the club access to both the Mauna Kea and Westin Hapuna. The whitehouse provided everything we needed during our stay. Kind of bummed that the sauna was out of order during our visit, but a small inconvenience compared to the benefits offered.

Perfect getaway
My wife and I have been staying at various VRBO locations around the world for many years now, and this was by far the best experience. The location is great, with views of the pacific. The house is beautiful and includes every item & utensil you could possibly imagine needing. The owner and property manager were both highly responsive and provided every bit of help and information needed for the trip. I also highly recommend signing up for access to the Mauna Kea and Hapuna resorts. It was great being able to spend days at both beaches with access to their amenities. We plan to be back!

Our first visit was 2016 and since then, the owners have made numerous improvements, all designed to make this the most comfortable home you can imagine. The beds are the best anywhere, and I told the owner I was going to buy a mattress just like the one she has here when we get back to your actual home. The flat screen TVs are state of te art, as is the sound system, and the kitchen has every utensil and gadget you might ever want. Plus the place is set up for kids: there are so many beach toys and swimming pool floateys they would have an absolute riot of time playing with. Add in a completely furnished and comfortable separate ohana, and you have the perfect setting for a multi-generational vacation spot.
Oh, I forgot to mention that the owner just added in a super relaxing outdoor shower and bathtub off the main bathroom.
Here's an example to show how responsive the on-island property manager is: my wife broke her foot and found it difficult to stand up for a long time. The property manager, Lissette, got us a shower chair on the same day I requested one and delivered it to the house.

Wonderful!
When my six-year-old son walked into the house on our first day he gawked in amazement and said, “The person who lives here is the luckiest person on earth!” I replied, “Well, we are the luckiest people on earth because we get to stay here for two weeks!” And what an amazing two weeks we had. For our first week, we visited with family and had so much fun. The house is so spacious and beautiful and everyone had space to spread out and relax. The house is so well-designed for multiple families which separate bathrooms and wings for each family. The pool house is great for a teenager. The access to the resort is fantastic and we spent a lot of time dining at the resort and using the amenities, but also loved the flexibility of being able to enjoy a meal or snack at home. We all slept ridiculously well which is a testament to the comfortable beds and great bedding. Everything felt so fresh and clean. Shannon, the owner, and Lissette, the property manager are so responsive and helpful. This is our second stay at this house and we just booked our third stay for 2023 which speaks to how much we love this property. We are so grateful to Shannon for opening her home to our family. Our stay at the White House by the Sea was perfect. There were nine of us with two combined families. We had plenty of room to spread out, or be together. We cooked almost every meal in the beautiful and amazingly stocked kitchen. One of our favorite parts of this home is that every room opens to an outside space- and the views! The host and property manager were responsive and easy/great communicators. The proximity to multiple beaches- including the resort, little Hawaiian towns, shopping and grocery stores was wonderful. We would gladly stay again!!
