The cobwebs/spiders thru out the whole ceiling of the house showed it had not been cleaned/dusted in quite a while. There was no real view of the lake just the top of the house and bushes of the back deck.
The stairs leading down to the lake are very dangerous for children and older adults. When you get down there was NO beach at all which was never mentioned in your AD.
Overall, we were very disappointed in the location, lack of beach, lack of lake view, and cleanliness of the house.
We did not leave a review in your book as it would have been very negative and felt that hopefully after leaving a review online to you, you will try and advertise your home a little more honestly.
We won't be back.

Perfect spot for Ironman Musselman plus literally right down the road from my favorite winery, Billsboro! Dock was great perk, I was able to get out in my paddle board a couple times. Loved the patio for morning coffee and the little pavilion was nice in the evening. Very clean. Would definitely stay again! One thing to note for elderly or physically impaired, the steps to the dock are many and very steep which is due to the landscape not something that can changed. Was not an issue for us but something to be aware of.

The property was nice. Unfortunately, due to rain a few days ahead there were weeds that had grown over 4 foot tall that precluded us from seeing the lake from our fire pit or our porch or our gazebo.. Other than that, the house is well equipped the furniture was comfortable And we had a wonderful time in the finger lakes.

Wonderful lake side home for extended family to gather to celebrate graduation weekend.
The deck had amazing views of Seneca Lake.
The covered picnic area had a new grill and a lake view, plenty of room to host a bar-b-q.
Kitchen was very well stocked.
Bedrooms were nicely decorated & comfortable.

This property had a great view of lake. It was very relaxing to sit on deck and watch the water activity. We traveled to Syracuse for our son and daughter-in-law’s baby shower which was not a bad drive. The house gave us plenty of room when we were there. Would stay here again

never found wash clothes, even after I texted the owner. The house was not clean enough, too many cobwebs and spiders. Something smelled terrible when you opened the front door, either the inside of the trash can or there could have been a small dead animal, but it was horrible smelling. Also under the kitchen sink was discgusting, . The long and short of it, I would never recommend to stay there, ever.

The lake house wasn’t anything fancy. It was a comfortable house, comfortable beds, everything was fine. A nice dock with a sandy area to swim. We were in town for a wedding in Geneva and it was perfectly located. We did a wine tour around the lake, hiked the gorge, and swam. Great weekend.

Great week on Seneca Lake
We had a great family vacation. The yard is very nice with a wonderful view of the lake. We enjoyed the majority of our meals outside in the covered dining area and also enjoyed the covered space when we had a couple of rainy days. The fire pit is great for campfires. The kitchen is well-equipped and the open concept allowed the family to engage with each other during meal times. There is a lot to do near by, however we enjoyed must of our time at the cottage. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. Thank you Barry for being our host.

The house was not cleaned properly. Several issues have been discussed years ago on this chat and are still not fixed (plumbing in kitchen). There were multiple issues with cleanleness. Owner was great at communication, but nothing got fixed while I was there. House needs major TLC, even for a lake cottage. I would not reserve this place during COVID until it is properly cleaned.

My stay was definitely the best weekend of the summer! Swimming in the lake, telling stories by the campfire and a short ride to enjoy the wineries near by. The house is very well taken care of and the pictures don't do it justice. I would recommend it and can't wait to come back!

Lake splendor
Our family stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. Built many memories. The location was perfect. The home was just right for our family. Fire pit was used every evening. Rented a pontoon boat for the week and the water was so calm and refreshing! The owner was very responsive and answered all of our concerns. Would recommend friends to stay.

Great time
Great location. The view of the lake was great. The place was very clean and the neighbors had adorable dogs. There was bottles of wine waiting for us and wood for the fire pit. The only issues were the beds very hard and the air conditioning was not great. But overall it was a wonderful experience.

This is a lovely place to stay. We were in town for a wedding at Belhurst Castle, and this house was 5 minutes away. We had a lovely time enjoying the yard and the dock on a gorgeous sunny day while waiting for the late afternoon wedding to start. The neighbor was very friendly and shared all kinds of interesting information about the lake and area. Barry was very quick to respond to any and all questions, and even gave us some delicious complimentary wine.

~Eh~
Pros: beautiful view of the lake, 2 bathrooms, updated kitchen, firepit & gazebo. Access to the lake.
Cons: Spiders... Seriously everywhere inside including corners, as if the house wasn't thoroughly cleaned, along with an infestation of fruit flies. Downstairs bathroom door very hard to close & open. We had to slam closed and pull very hard to open. Master bathroom shower/tub could be replaced, no drain screen.
There are 4 bedrooms & the smallest one is very small which held a twin on a frame & another twin mattress ON THE FLOOR with no other room to move, plus there is an accordion door to that room. In the pictures, the other mattress was on a bed frame.
There are 4 wooden chairs in the kitchen, 3 of which were broken & not stable...the cross supports underneath would literally fall out when sat on. When I texted the owner, he said they will still work. The kitchen sink leaked, which I texted the owner about and he responded that there was a basket under the sink to catch water. He stated he hadn't been able to call a plumber since the house has been continuously rented. The kitchen also has no dishwasher.
Some of the pictures listed are old & not current like outside and front of the home. The landscaping was weed ridden and overgrown.
The access to lake/dock was steep steel stairs, which were fine. It was the pipe railing I had an issue with as one of the joints had no support underneath.
Owner: Barry was very pleasant & responsive to texts. We arrived & there were no garbage bags in any of the trash cans, he remedied promptly. When I advised him of the kitchen chairs he was aware but said they were ok to use. When I advised him of the leak he stated he was aware & there was a bucket under the sink to catch water. He hadn't had an opportunity to fix since the property had been continuously rented.
Overall: property was accessible & close to wineries, had 2 bathrooms, owner responsive. I would not rent this home again.

Great Place to stay
This place has everything you need for a home away from home,We loved the double stove, now we all want one. There are plenty of spices, flatware, cookware, wine glasses,Kureg, towels ect.We took a Limo for the wine trail, My sons fished off the dock ,even though they didn't catch anything ,I found them out there at 730 in the morning they still had a good time.If you have a question about what to bring just ask Barry he is very nice and I texted him many times. PS We brought wood for the fire pit because thats were we spent every evening, but there are many places to buy it. Thankyou Barry , Cindy C

Great weekend at the Finger Lakes
We had a wonderful time while staying at this house. It was a perfect place for our family group of 10 people to stay while attending a family event. The back yard is very nice and you have a wonderful view of the lake. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner outside as well as a couple of trips in the surroundings. The kitchen is well-equipped. We found all what we needed. The only concern we would like to mention are the beds in bedroom 4 which are not really comfortable. However, overall a very nice stay. We would come back. Thank you Barry.

Nice location
The location is great as you can get to town easily and yet you are still far enough down the lake. This location is close to several breweries and wineries when you visit the region. The owner is very nice as well.

Nice and comfortable
The house was just like it was described, no surprises. The kitchen was newly remodeled and was very user friendly with all the appliances that we needed. The outside grill was full of gas ready for our use. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as cooperative as we would have liked so we weren't able to use the fire pit or eat outside like we originally planned but having the gas grill under cover worked great since it was raining when we grilled. Would recommend this house to anyone wanting to spend the weekend.

Great little getaway!
Stayed here for the weekend, and had a lovely time! Cosy living/dining/kitchen area perfect for cooking and enjoying a meal. Unfortunately, the weather did not permit using the garden and fire pit to full potential, however we did check out the views from the gazebo. Also perfect location on the lake to go explore. Barry was very helpful in making our stay easy - recommend!

Great weekend in the Finger Lakes
We had a wonderful time while staying at this house. It is right on the lake and has a fantastic view! This house can sleep quite a few people, and was the perfect place for a group of friends to stay while attending a Hobart alumni reunion. Thank you so much Barry for your hospitality!
