This cottage literally hangs over the lake and is located on 18 acres with access to a volleyball court, swimming area, fishing pier, and ramp just footsteps away. The private dock is just outside your front bedroom door. The bunk bed has extra-long twin TempurPedic mattresses for ultimate comfort. This is like camping at the water’s edge with the luxuries of home. Relax, read a book, fish, and watch the game or a movie all within 30 feet of the lake. The kitchen comes complete with utensils, cookware, and small appliances. There is a gas grill and Direct TV. Things to know: Free WiFi Full kitchen Shared, coin-operated laundry facility on site This property is managed by Vacasa South Carolina LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Dock details: Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. My parents live in the same neighborhood and were hosting Thanksgiving. Their house was pretty full so we rented this property to stay for 2 nights. We did the same thing a few years ago at a nearby property so we had an idea of what to expect. Unfortunately, this property was unacceptable and we did not stay there. It had a strong musty smell and overall the place was dingy. The doors also did not quite seal and had an insufficient lock for me to trust to keep my family safe

Only a few minor things wrong but overall a great place to stay and well stocked with everything I needed. There were a couple light bulbs out and the door knobs and locks need a little attention but they are not show stoppers.

This house was great. The views and decorations are on point. The easy access to my boat was so nice and the quiet privacy made it seem like we were alone completely. So pleased and will make a return visit in the future.

If you passion is fishing this is the place to stay. My husband and I have stayed here several times. Really convenient dock right outside the room. We bring our boat tie it to dock and whenever we are ready to fish just jump in take off. Home is always clean and checking in is easy.

Cute and cozy little cabin. The only negative is self inflicted. We put the baby in the room with us which meant we couldn’t enjoy the dock after her bedtime because the only access to the dock, back deck, and grill is through the bedroom.

Overall we had a pleasant stay. The neighbors were very friendly. The only issue that we encountered was fire ants coming into the window in dining area. We contacted the property manager and was insured that they would send someone out right away. Never heard back from the property manager nor the maintenance guy.

Tucked back in the middle of no where, we had a chance to relax for a week. The internet was spotty, but it didn’t matter too much. Pick up groceries before driving out to the property. Everything you need is there, except sunscreen and bug spray.

It was directly on the lake and next to a public boat ramp where you can also rent a boat like we did! Quiet evenings. The place does get bright during the day because there are plenty of windows, for a better view of course 😊 I would recommend a patio umbrella though. Overall the place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay

We enjoyed our stay. Wish we had extra towels to dry off the outdoor furniture... the weather was perfect but the mist from the lake leaves everything damp in the evening and morning. Missed having a mirror other than in the bathroom... Everything else was as expected. Thank you!

It’s a nice place. Can be relaxing. There were nats and bugs in the house. LOTS of nats. Drunk loud neighbors who played music up from late evening until midnight when all we wanted to do was fish. Overall though it is a nice place to visit.

What a surprising and comfy little cottage which sits right on the water!! Private dock and a cottage filled with all the kitchen appliances and utensils that you will ever need. A great place to enjoy and relax!!!

It was so nice being right on Lake Murray. I wish there were more kitchen items such as oven mitts, dish towels, paper goods, and condiments/spices. The air conditioner right above the futon in the living room is very loud, making sleep difficult. Being right next to the boat rental was very convenient.

We constantly had kids and there guardians around the house. Boaters were in and out all day long. The place we were staying had a constant presence of roaches, water bug's, moths and centipedes of some kind. The last night was disturbed by someone trying to get on the deck. Whomever also took the fish we caught. Thank goodness the weather was good.
