We loved our stay at Key Cottage. We travelled with our dogs and they thoroughly enjoyed the fenced dog run. We walked around the neighborhood, which was a nice walk. We enjoyed The Local and the Office Bistro. The house was very clean, the kitchen well appointed. Enjoyed the interesting decor (steamboats and sailboats particularly). The books re: history of the area were also enjoyed. Loved the easy checkout. Thanks, B&S

Two seasoned sisters and dachshund stayed 7 nights and the house was a great location, corner lot, very quiet. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need and plenty of towels. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The pictures do not show the charm and space. We were pleasantly surprised the minute we walked through the door. Furniture is very comfortable and very period to the cottage. The excellent upgrades for the comfort do not compromise the uniqueness of the cottage. We loved the Christmas decorations adding to the homey feeling. Kinnet was very attentive and helpful, even surprised us with a pleasant surprise for the holiday.

I so enjoyed my stay on this property ! First it’s so well appointed and comfortable. Whoever decorated and upgraded the property did a superb job. It sits on a lovely lot just a block from water.
The town is adorable with good restaurants, shops and a good private coffee shop. A larger town is only a few miles from this charming historic town.
I will be returning when I visit my brother.

Spent three nights at Key Cottage while in Irvington with friends for a needlepoint retreat, and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house is absolutely charming - from the well-designed, comfortable interior to the beautiful gardens around the yard. The kitchen is well stocked, there's a cabinet full of games, several televisions, good wi-fi, and lots more. We had a great time and hope to return next year. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing stay. The proximity to local food and wine was great. I drive to the end of the Bay (about 20 mins) and caught some amazing views. The arrival was seamless and property was very well kept. Friendly neighbors welcomed me with a polite hello.
I met new friends at the dog park who encouraged me to move to the area.
I will definitely book another visit soon.

The location of Key Cottage is PERFECT! So much to do in the area. Peaceful, yet convenient to shopping, restaurants and, of course, dinner at the Tides Inn.
Loved the dog fenced area. Took my coffee out to sit on the bench, listen to the birds, gaze at the abundance of flowers and watch my two pups play. Thanks so much for making our 43rd wedding anniversary special.

Weve been vacationing on the NN for the last 5 years. I had even driven past Key Cottage and thought how nice it is. Our stay was most enjoyable...it's the ideal place for us! I especially enjoyed the front porch for my 6 am cup of coffee ...gotta love Adirondack chairs! We will most definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Key Cottage.
The cottage was clean, so comfortable and it had everything we needed including a fenced area for our dog to be off leash. The screened porch was perfect for morning coffee and watching the birds (and Rabbits!!). Irvington and Kilmarnock were fun to explore and had great restaurants & venues!! (Bring your bikes!!)

Our family felt at home during our 6 days at Key Cottage. As lovers of historical homes, we appreciated the charming updates throughout (the bathrooms are to die for). And… Wow! the porches, the landscaped gardens, the fancy dog run for our 2 yorkies! We can’t wait to come back to make more Irvington memories. Thank you, Kinnet!

My daughter was sailing in a 2-day regatta, which meant long, hot days on the water, and lots of lifting and volunteering for me. It was so nice to have a peaceful place to land, rest and refuel! It is a lovely neighborhood to walk around, and Kinnet was very responsive. We highly recommend the property and the host.

Spent a relaxing 2 nights at Key Cottage, ate a ton of oysters at Merroir and Dredge, took our pup for a swim at Wake Beach, and watched a thunder storm from the front porch. Really appreciate the great communication from the host!

We spent the first week of my retirement at the Northern Neck, with Key Cottage as our home base. It was perfect. The location was just right for a round of golf at the Piankatank Golf Club and a trip with friends to Tangier Island. We enjoyed a visit to the Steamboat Museum in Irvington as well. Miss Mary's Seafood is a must-do for purchasing fresh seafood to prepare at home in Key Cottage's well-stocked kitchen. We used the Weber grill (hard-wired for gas) for several evening meals. We brought our bicycles with us and are glad we did. Irvington is flat and very bike friendly. We had a great stay and highly recommend Key Cottage. Kinnet is a wonderful host and exceptional in communication. Great way to begin retirement!

Lovely high ceilings with oodles of tchotchkes throughout the house. The kitchen is done in a "retro" style that reminds me of my grandmother's, and has plenty of small appliances, spices, knives, etc. We didn't do any cooking but we could have. The master suite is huge, with a large walk-in closet, sizeable bathroom and little desk area, along with a ton of drawer space. We enjoyed our stay and will be back in June with our son and daughter-in-law. Thanks!

Very nice, well-maintained house with lovely, flowering gardens.
About a 12-minute walk to the Fish Hawk at the Tides Inn for an outstanding crab cake sandwich and close water view. The River Market in White Stone is 2 miles, with high-quality food and takeout.
