Don's place was a perfect setting for our small family Thanksgiving get together. The view of the lake is stunning, and the house has all the amenities needed for a very comfortable stay over the holidays, including a large dining table for family dinners and for socializing. Access to cable TV for football games was a big plus. Don is an excellent host who was always responsive and even went out of his way to provide pics ahead of time so we could see the cookware... highly recommend Don and his beautiful lakeside home if you're ever in the Newburgh and Orange Lake area!

My friend and I wanted a quiet, lakefront retreat and this placed checked all the boxes! As soon as you walk through the front door, you are greeted with an unbelievable panoramic view of the lake! The house was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable. The shower, amazing. Loved sitting out on the deck at night, listening to the water and looking up at the stars. Don was so communicative and friendly- even had the house ready for us begore check-in! Can only imagine how awesome it'd be to stay here in the summer.

Everything was perfect. The check in process was as simple as can be. The host communication was fast and efficient. The location was perfect...nice safe area, close enough to restaurants and shops, yet with a private lakefront. The place was clean and well stocked. I would 100% recommend staying here to anybody, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Our stay was fantastic!! The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked most of our dinners here and always had the right utensils and pots and pans. Don was fantastic checking in and responsive to questions and requests!! I would stay here again!! And the views…WOW!!

We loved our time in Don’s space. The house is accurate to pics and equipped with everything you’d need during a stay. The house is comfortable and has a beautiful view of the lake. The location is convenient and a short drive to places. We would love to return here!

The property is well-located for an ops base to see the mid-HRV. We stayed in October so no playing in the lake but the sunsets were gorgeous as hoped for. Our host was responsive and courteous.

Everything you could possibility want in a neat and tidy home fronting on a large lake where watching the mesmerizing sunsets brings about an appropriate close a relaxing day with everything you could possibly want just steps away. The full kitchen, linens, deck furniture, water sports off the elegant dock....I won't go on, except to say, whatever questions you might have were responded to via text from the friendly owner Don Murphy, a true gentleman.

Lovely home on Lake Orange. Great host who we even meet- very accommodating, friendly and good communicator . We’ll stocked and clean kitchen and bathrooms. Comfortable sitting areas. Loved sitting outside viewing the lake between raindrops drinking his complimentary bottle of wine! It is 22 miles from West Point.

This is a lovely house right on a private lake! My friends and I enjoyed swimming and kayaking, as well as sitting on the back porch and looking out at the water. We spent most of our time at the house, enjoying the water and views but also appreciated how close we were to Beacon (a cute nearby town). Check-in and check-out procedure is super simple, and Don is very friendly and communicative. The check-out time of 11:30 am is already generous, and I especially appreciated getting a text that morning saying that no guests were booked for that day and that we could check-out a bit later. The house sleeps five comfortably, though six is a bit of a squeeze (which I think the listing even says). Either way, we had a lovely stay!

This home has the best panoramic view of the lake, everything is clean and accessible, and fully equipped with everything you could need. Don is an amazing human being and always available for any questions or hiccups, and will go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. My family and I celebrated a memorable 77th birthday for my Dad, and everyone was so happy at this spot that we never wanted to leave! What a hidden gem - we will def be back!

This home is absolutely fantastic and Don is an incredible host. A lacrosse tournament brought us to the Hudson Valley for the weekend and we were lucky to find this gem. Our kids ranging from 6-12 could have spent all day jumping off the deck into the lake and pretty much did. The home comfortably fit our family of 6. The home is clean, spacious and it appears to be recently renovated. The view from the deck and living room at sunset was amazing. I'm not sure if I will be back in this area of the Northeast but if I am I'll be checking the availability of this home.

What a beautiful location & lakehouse full of character. We are from Seattle, looking for a few days of relaxation/family time before dropping my son off at West Point. The lakehouse was perfect! The weather didn't necessarily cooperate, but the wall of windows out to the lake was an amazing frame for the lightning storms - not something we see much of in Seattle. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we are planning a few more days in August for A-Day. The owners obviously care very much about their home and you can feel that staying here. Thank you!

Beautiful house, in particular the spacious living room. Right on the water, with fun toys like a paddle board and kayaks. A large lake, with places to go. Just one downside - houses are pretty close together, not much privacy. Neighbors were doing some lawn mowing and power washing, which made it pretty loud for a while.

This cute property was a great location for a girl’s weekend. The home was tidy with comfortable beds and linens. Communication with the owner was perfect. Loved the big porch overlooking the lake and we enjoyed using the kayaks.

Quaint lakeside cottage with everything you need (tho my 80 year old parents did struggle with the TV remote!). Beautiful sunsets, easy to get to and from, and Donald was a great host...very communicative and genuinely concerned that we would enjoy our stay. Hoping to enjoy again.

We stayed at Don's property for a girls weekend. We had a great time and the property came with everything we needed with both a great check in and check out process. Don was incredibly responsive when we had questions and even gave us a bottle of wine at check in! We were just there to relax (since we have 9 kids between us) and it was lovely to enjoy the quiet of the property with both comfortable beds and a comfortable sofa. We would absolutely rent again from Don!

What a view!! It was the perfect location for our little retirement celebration. We had drinks on the deck and enjoyed the lake. The inside was pretty and very comfortable. We are already planning to return next year!

This was a beautiful and comfortable property for us! The vista of the lake was amazing whether enjoying from inside with the wall of windows in the back, or outside on the deck. All the amenities you could need, including washer and dryer. Don was a very responsive and accommodating host, catering happily to our unique requests. And there was a bottle of wine for us when we arrived!
