Nestled in New Iberia, this attractive cabin for $242 per night is a great option for your next trip. This quaint little gem is a private suite situated on the Bayou Teche and in the middle of downtown New Iberia. 1-2 minute walk from unique restaurants & night spots. Next door to Gumbo festival, Sugarcane festival, Mardi Gras parade & more! VOTED BEST BnB by ACADIANA Profile. Better value for multiple nights stays. Inquire for 1 night approval. This space has the kitchen, living room and bed room all in one space!! Please see pictures!! We have a full stainless steel kitchen, full bath with whirlpool tub, free Wi-Fi, waterfront, large back deck, covered parking, outdoor grill queen murphy bed and double size sofa bed (slightly larger than a twin, smaller than a full) and minutes walk distance to downtown activities including bars, restaurants, boutiques, museum, Plantation House tour, book store, coffee shop, gift stores, night clubs, and the city park. #feedyoursoul You are renting the full house, deck, covered parking for two (additional guests may park free at Bouligny Plaza) and on the bank of the bayou where you can dock your boat or fish. Our guest say there is nothing comperable because the location is so unique. One block off of main street in the heart of downtown, tucked away on the bayou. The aminities of this space and the fact that you are not sharing it with any other guest make it a perfect alternitive to a hotel. A better value comes from multiple nights stayed, one night stays are welcome, note: the cleaning fee is the same wehther its one night or 1 week. We try to meet our guest upon arrival to answer questions they may have. We will be available by phone 24/7. We do not live on the property, there is no other guest you are sharing space with. This is the HEART of downtown New Iberia. There are many festivities and events going on. Walking to several different shops, bars, restaurants, and night clubs is only a few minutes away. Your guests can park in the adjacent Bouligny Plaza. Lots to see and do walking distance, other major attractions can be driven to within 15 minutes. Uber and taxi services are available. Thank you! ~~ The house was placed with the Bayou in the backyard and the downtown area right outside the front door. It had perfect access to all the downtown shops and dining spots. I absolutely loved the chateau and the city! The house was well accommodating with many different items in case you forgot to pack some. We want to come back again one day for a longer stay.!

This place could not be more charming! The space was perfect for my husband and me, and all of the whimsical touches were delightful. The proximity to downtown New Iberia does not get any better, and the deck was a great place to relax. The host was welcoming, friendly, and informative. Overall, we enjoyed our stay tremendously!

Wonderful place! This place had all the added touches. They thought of everything. Very relaxing to sit out on the deck and enjoy wine/charcuterie. Great coffee also enjoyed at sunrise.

Loved everything about this stay. Such a beautiful place with special touches everywhere. All the amenities you need plus walkable to restaurants, bars, and local attractions. We had such a great time fishing right out back (thanks for the pole loan). Excellent communication and friendliness from the owners. I would love to come back here in the future.

Absolutely adorable!
It is perfect place to stay in south LA. Right on the Bayou and walking distance to local restaurants with fabulous food. It's driving distance to other towns so a prefect place for day trips. I would highly recommend this adorable place.

Cute place, convenient to most everything.
The little house was really cute and mostly comfortable. Plenty of good places to eat close by. The owners are very friendly.
The check in was not very easy. The email that I received said that check in was at 2PM. We got there and the place was not open and the key was not where it was stated it would be in the email. I texted the owner, and after 15 or 20 minutes we found keys, (only to find out they were not for us), and went in. Shortly after, the owner sent me a text that he unlocked the door with his phone. Though the stools at the breakfast bar are really cute to look at, you cannot sit on them for more than just a minute or so. They are just too uncomfortable. Also the air conditioning unit is undersized for the property and with it reaching 90 degrees outside, it was extremely warm all during the day. Fortunately, it was able to keep the place cool at night. All in all, we were able to get a couple of days of relaxation in, which was our ultimate goal.

New Year's Day get-away
The little Chateau is so pretty, beautifully done to feel homey. Loved the way they have decorated. Comfortable all the way around. The only downside was the double bed when we sleep in a king. So the two of us were pretty cozy. Loved New Iberia. Hope to return.

There is a lovely porch behind the building overlooking the bayou with comfortable furniture and a table top patio heater to warm you on a cold night. Underneath the porch is ample parking for 2 cars. Everything was perfectly decorated with an homage to the surrounding area using cypress, flowers, and birds of the area. It was all done in excellent taste. Definitely a 5 star stay. Mickey was a wonderful host.

Very helpful hosts

We’ve done beaches, we’ve done camping, we wanted to do something unique and fun. This destination was perfect! Swamp tours, unique food, great tour destinations (champagne swamp tours, Tabasco factory, jungle garden, kart ranch…all within short distances from this rental!). It was awesome!

Only negative... We were going to grill one night and the grill is not in great shape. It's rusted out and gross. We threw the steaks and salmon in the freezer and went out instead.

We had an amazing stay Bayou Chateaux and can’t wait to go back! It is exactly as beautiful as it is in the pictures in the listing. We loved exploring all of the little decorative touches, right down to the Mardi Gras beads that hold the deck gate closed perfectly. The space is small but is extremely well laid out, we could easily live in that space no problem. The kitchen is fantastic and even has a full size gas stove , a great coffee set up and gorgeous concrete counters. We loved having access to a W/D as well as it feels good to be going home from a trip without a ton of dirty clothes. We had the pleasure of meeting Mickey in person as he was gracious enough to zoom over with a corkscrew when we couldn’t locate the one that was there. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck area and also having covered parking. Our doggie loved it SO MUCH, we have never seen him so relaxed in a home away from home. The vibe there is just simply that perfect. . We will be back!
