About this condo rental
Situated in Diamond Beach, this attractive condo for $650 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. As you sit on the large terrace of Pelican Watch, you are almost eye-level to see the flocks of pelicans overhead and look out to see breathtaking views of the lush manicured pool area below and out to the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. When we purchased Unit 511 in Diamond Beach's premier five-star resort, we wanted to add our touches with both you and our family in mind. We have furnished it with everything we want and believe it will be everything you want as well. The living room of this amazing unit features a wall with a fireplace and a large Smart TV with cable service. WiFi is also provided. The open plan provides a living area for TV watching, game playing and making many memories. The adjoining kitchen with it's stainless steel and granite is well equipped with cooking conveniences including slow cooker, toaster, waffle iron and blender, plus a Keurig by the pot or K-cup and a Nespresso espresso machine. We've even provided you with an assortment of spices. If outdoor cooking is your pleasure, as it is mine, your terrace is equipped with an electric Weber grill and large dining table for those great homemade (or brought in) meals . Poolside grills are also provided. At the end of your busy day you will find rest in the three well-furnished bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and a bathroom en suite with an over-sized shower for a relaxing rain shower experience. The second and third bedrooms have queen beds. All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, TVs and luxury bedding The second bath has a combination tub/shower with an extra-deep tub for a long, soothing soak. In addition to the amenities and conveniences of Pelican Watch, The common amenities of Diamond Beach include a Concierge desk, beautiful indoor heated pool, children's playroom and computer center. Also for your enjoyment is a game room with pool table, pin ball machines, video games, shuffleboard and more; a 35-seat movie theatre and state-of-the-art workout center overlooking the Gulf. There is easy access to the resort's beach entrance and to the outdoor pool complex which offers three spill-over pools, hot tubs and lazy river. With so much to do at Diamond Beach, you probably won't want to leave, but in case you do, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn and the Pleasure Pier are only minutes away. Galveston also boasts many great restaurants and, of course, shopping on The Strand. For you golfers, Moody Gardens offers an excellent course for you to try.

We've visited Galveston a few times and have found that Diamond Beach is the best place to stay. It has top notch amenities, including terrific pools. Now, we believe we've found the best condo in the resort. This condo is beautifully decorated and well stocked. It is spacious, including a large oceanfront lanai with comfortable seating perfect for lounging and just watching the waves and pelicans. Inside, we loved the large master suite. This will be our regular place in the future.

Everything was great, very impressed with the whole procedure.
We had a bit of trouble with the tv remotes. But, luckily we got them working properly.
The ice was a welcome touch. All the residents were very friendly.
Only exception was the distance to the steps for the pool. We had to walk around the whole pool to get out...but nothing that will keep us from coming back!!

The property is beautiful and our condo was wonderful.It was fully stalked and we enjoyed it thoroughly.
I would recommend that the website be updated with what amenities that are actually available.
There was no water slide and evidently havent had one for several years.
No swim up bar offered or club on the 3rd floor to which we could enjoy a cocktail.We were told that was for only VIPs and yet it was closed for even them along with the wine room.
as people book according to amenities offered I feel this is very misleading especially for what you pay for in the peak months.
Our check in person was less than pleasant.
I would book here again for the location and pool regardless than a few hiccups.I do suggest adding some kind of refreshment so snack area as it would bring in quite a bit of revenue to the property

We really enjoyed this comfortable condo, it's amazing view, pool, lazy river and ocean! The kids loved the game room and giant chess set by the pool. It's a short drive to restaurants and entertainment. We only stayed a few nights. Next time, we would love to stay longer to take advantage of all there is to do in Galveston and on the property.

Impeccable, comfortable, all the amenities. The pool and lazy river are amazing! The entire process - booking, communication with property owner, check-in, check-out - was seamless. The pelicans did not disappoint! I highly recommend this property.

This place is incredible! We loved the pool, the lazy river was the best I’ve ever seen. The beach access was so easy, 600 feet from the back door and we were in the ocean. But most of all the gorgeous condo and patio was perfect, we could have spent the whole vacation just hanging out there. We got some much needed R&R and family time. Thank you!

We had a great time at diamond beach, pools are beautiful and grounds are very well maintained. Condo was perfect for our family of 5 and we appreciated all the small touches in the home- tvs in every room, washer and dryer, well equipped kitchen!

Close to town, super clean, beautiful view, quiet, comfortable, easy communication with the owner, nothing was broken, lots of amenities and a large balcony. Everything we were looking for!

Website description of this condo and the resort is accurate.
Mosquitos is the biggest nuisance on the resort and I am hoping that management has some permanent solution for it.
Overall very pleased with our stay and will likely return in future.

The condo, Pelican Watch, was very clean and comfortable. My family traveled with myself, husband, two kids, and grandmother. It was perfect for us. The location is great there was a lot to do on premises for the kids (5 and 7) with the pool, lazy River and neat free arcade. The host of pelican watch was very nice to work with and responsive. Would stay again.

This is our 5th trip to this resort.
We love the lazy river. We wish the game room was fully operational and that the slide was in operation during the week but we still had a blast.

AMAZING!
I don't have enough words! This property exceeded our expectations. The condo was exactly as described. Perfectly located in a fantastic complex. Checking in was a breeze. Once we went inside the condo, my 7 year old went, "Woah! We're living the life!" And she was right on about that. The condo was beautiful and had everything that you could need. All you had to do was buy groceries. Perfect ocean view. One day we sat on our balcony and watched the dolphins play all day long!
The amenities of this resort were fantastic. I was with my 73 year old mother, sister, adult niece, and 2 kids (7 and 10). There was something for everyone. Kid game room. Movie room (which we booked for free to watch Spiderman), 4 pools that cascaded into one another, (each one had a completely different depth), lazy river with floats provided, outside game area, TV's, umbrellas, grills, and the beach right within walking distance.
I know I'm going on and on. It's worth it! We're already planning our next trip next year with just my husband and the kids. Thank you for such a fantastic stay! We loved this place!

Fabulous Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pelican Watch!! The adults loved drinking our morning coffee on the balcony listening to the waves. The kids loved hanging out during the day watching the ocean waves as well. The unit was spotless upon our arrival. The host was easily available via text for any questions. The condo complex has great amenities as well. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Galveston!
