House was clean and well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies and tools and firewood. we brought more and enjoyed the fireplace. Owners added a beautiful covered back porch and we sat there on a warm day. Saw a flock of wild turkeys and were greeted by deer one evening.
The beautiful front door wouldn't open so it was a bit inconvenient to come in a out of the kitchen door, especially if someone is preparing a meal at that time. Another great weekend of memories made by the family. Thank you!

We went for a long weekend getaway. It was perfect and comfortable! The cabin is well stocked with essentials and clean. They have a back porch that is not pictured and it a wonderful sitting place.
It snowed while we were there and it was a beautiful and serene. I can’t wait to book another trip there.

Cozy cabin is an understatement. What a cozy, rustic, woodsy cabin that is close to all the fun stuff to do. We will definitely be back.

Spent the weekend here over the holidays and it was just what we needed to decompress. The fireplace in the great room was spectacular and the furniture was so comfortable. We appreciated the details of the carpentry and eclectic furnishings. Kitchen is small. Location is perfect to Lake Harmony and ski areas. We'll be back!

Great little cabin
This is our second stay at this property and we really love the quaint, quiet setting and unique character of the house. The fireplaces are fantastic and the antique lamps are so cool. The owner replaced the old cookware and it is MUCH better, Thank you. My only disappointments were the house wasn't as clean as last year, very dusty.
We wore our slippers in the house, but still felt a little uncomfortable with the kids playing on the floor.
Otherwise, I'd consider this house again because of its unique character and proximity to JF ski resort.

First the good stuff. The place is quiet, beautiful, and a great place to curl up by the fire and read a good book or watch tv. The living room, "Great Hall", is unimaginably beautiful and spacious. The photos do not capture the deep flavor of the colors, or the room's charm. So much thought went into the this place, unique everything! Furniture, decoration and touches. As one person said, every piece of furniture has its own story. Whoever owns this place is really sinking everything into it to make it the best. Also, some said previously that the place was dirty, as well as the sheets. We did not find this the case. The place was one of the cleanest we have occupied, and the sheets were brand new. We went in the winter so couldn't take full advantage of the exterior, but there is a wonderful deck off of the second fireplace room (den), with a place for a fire surrounded by chairs, and a grill. Another patio in the back! Family fun! The outdoor furniture, unlike an earlier review, was clean and ready to sit on. It was a pleasure being there, and we plan to go again! That's most of the good stuff.We would have given it a 5 if a few things could be taken into consideration. Some others had noted that the dishes were dirty. This was certainly true with most of the utensils and glasses and cups. One of the rules is for guests to wash their dishes and put them away. Apparently they don't do too good a job of that. We certainly didn't wash the stuff we didn't use, so it sits there. All the owners need to do is have someone occasionally clean the dishes. Also, there could be more basics in the kitchen, such as a few basic spices, cleaning supplies, trash bags (there were no bags), at least a set of normal matching glasses instead of the eclectic collection of singles. These are not big deals and easy to fix. Making it a five star.Also, the old part of the house is very clean and tastefully done, but it is dark, really dark, as some have said. In one way, who cares? That's how cabins are. But it is amazing how many lights are in the master bedroom and you still "almost" need a flashlight to find what clothes you will wear each day. :) It's simply the dark paneling. Paint it? Painting hard to choose in something that historically old, but would change the feel completely. Probably the kitchen is on your list for an upgrade. If all this it would make house an eleven. :) Loved it!

Beautiful quiet location close to attracions
We had a great experience overall. There was an initial problem where the wifi was not working, but the owner and property manager went way above and beyond to assist us. The property is much bigger than I expected, especially the main living room, and overall we loved the old school log cabin feel. I would definitely stay again
