House was great for what we needed while in GJ for a state swim meet. Close to CMU, quiet inside, cool and clean. Queen mattress was terrible but other three beds were fine.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Train House, a great experience, great central place / base for all of our adventures in and around Grand Junction. Super-quiet neighborhood & close to downtown area with shops & restaurants, 20 min to Palisade, 20 min to Fruita, approx 50 min to Grand Mesa. We did need to contact our host for one small minor thing, & she is or should be a SUPER-HOST, so so nice & request was taken care of quick same day!! We loved sitting on the back deck in the mornings & evenings, & plan to be back in Grand Junction again. We'll definately stay here again!! Thanks again to our host!

We wanted to have a central location for our family vacation and Grand Junction was it. After looking for places to stay we came across the "Train House" and it looked like it would fit us perfectly, since there were five of us. We arrived in the evening and the lights were on for us, which was nice. Everyone had their own bed to sleep in, which was great. The kids enjoyed playing battleship on the front porch. There were other games available for use and cards. The kitchen had plenty of plates for us to use. There were some items that we didn't have to purchase available, like coffee, mustard, flour, sugar, creamer, and some others. We enjoyed using the grill and cooking meals there rather than going to a restaurant. I really enjoyed having a washer and dryer so we didn't need to pack as many clothes. There was plenty of room so we weren't on top of each other like we would have been if we stayed in a hotel. After visiting a few National Parks, we would come back to relax and eat dinner at the house. Everyone was really happy with the house. It is an older house but it is a great place to stay. I recommend the "Train House" if you have a family and are planning to stay in Grand Junction.

Nice vintage house. Great location; walking distance to downtown and the ballpark. Damp and musty smelling when we arrived. Bathroom poorly cleaned. Emails to the property manger about the lock box went unanswered.

We stayed here with our family. Grand Junction is a great town. We hiked and rode mountain bikes. The house was great. Lots of charm. The shed for storing bikes was especially useful.

Train House is a nice older home with lots of character, and I mean that in a good way! Location is great as we walked downtown to see the lights on Christmas Eve. Rise said the home was very clean and that's a great compliment coming from her. Also close to Colorado National Monument was out destination. Thanks.
