A great place for a short getaway

The room had everything we needed. It was clean and very comfortable. The staff were always happy to help and extremely friendly. The Bothy served tasty food and a good selection of beers, wines, and spirits. The hotel was on a main road with a bus stop 2 min walk away. You could catch a bus straight into the city centre every 10 minutes £2 each way. No parking worries and the drivers were all helpful. Would definitely recommend 👌

Nothing. We went during six nations and most of the car park was taken up with gazebos for the event, but there was still ample, free parking on the road adjacent.

Superb

Staff is polite, especially at the restaurant. Location is close to the bus stop, very convenient. I enjoyed the toiletries and the bed has been soft.

The cleaner only cleaned the bathroom and forgot to make the bed. It was weird, we found the room the same as we left it in the morning while bathroom was clean.

The boiler too

Older gentleman that checked us in was very polite and helpful. The hotel itself is cute with a courtyard and great light outside the room itself. It’s a good base to explore Edinburgh - we were able to do a morning run into the old town from the hotel which was great

The room was suffocating like we were in a sauna. It might be great in winter but in summer, it needed an aircon. The little fan was not effective. The room didn’t have a window either which was strange since it had a big glass door that didn’t open. The room wasn’t cleaned well either. While the towels were changed daily, they wouldn’t neaten the bed and pillows and didn’t change our glasses daily either. When checking out, I overheard another guest complaining about the cleaning too.

near bus station to the downtown and airport

the room had no air conditioner. In the heat (the bathroom fan didn't work) and we slept with the window open looking out onto a busy street

not as good as when we stayed two years ago the room we had last time was bigger and quieter during the night.

room was small for the price paid and could hear tables being moved downstairs around 11pm at night which made it hard to get an early night

amazing experience in Edinburgh

the Food / breakfast was Great! Cozy rooms, amazing location, near from centre but calm at the same time. Kind staff. thank you So much!

maybe they should change hot chocolate at the reception more often :D and the handle in the room is very hard to open when opening the window. otherwise Great stay!

I like the hotel and staff there a lot, they where very friendly and polite they explained everything very good.

We where not informed that the cleaners would enter the room on our first day, when I found my clothes somewhere else that I didn't left them I was kinda in shock.

Convenient

Loved that the room had a fridge. Nice big bed and supplied us with a cot in the room for our Daughter. Full cooked breakfast was lovely but wasn't sure why the continental breakfast was out and who for. Overall good stay but little pieces need to be rectified to make the stay perfect!

The room we stayed in was dark, not much natural sunlight coming through the windows. The ironing board literally fell apart as I put it up. Was in 3 different pieces. The radiator dial is incorrect. Room got too hot so I turned it down and it went even hotter. After 2 hours fiddling I managed to get the temperature down to a comfortable temperature. The shower has pieces missing from it.

Perfect stay in murrayfield

The location is great and I can't underplay how gorgeous the room was, so much space and a lovely bed. The bath and shower were both phenomenal & the room was nicely decorated. I loved that there was a mini fridge in the room and a generous selection of tea and coffee too (the tunnocks caramel wafer was a nice touch too!). Our room was in the house rather than the hotel, it was very quiet and cosy despite the huge room. We're already planning when we can go back!

My single room was much more comfortable than some larger big chain rooms I have stayed in . The addition of a proper sized kettle an absolute bonus for an excessive tea drinker . All the staff were , welcoming, very friendly and accommodating. I will certainly be back.

Disappointing Birthday stay

Location Friendly bar staff Food.

Hygiene: Bed had been changed, but one of the new pillow cases had what appeared to be blood stains on it. When we went to find hotel staff they were no where to be found. It was late in the evening though. 1 dressing gown for 2 people and asked for an additional towel which then never arrived.

Honest review- Lovely building, generous sized room, lack of cleanliness

A very generous sized family room with high cellings. Lovely free standing bath.

Unfortunately we was really disappointing was upon check in to find the bathroom dirty. I have never checked into a hotel before to find long thick hair all over the bathroom floor and faeces in the toilet! The cleaning the next day was bare minimum too. No hoover, no fresh sheets etc. The hotel itself was lovely with a good location but the cleaning inside the rooms needs more care. Seemed very rushed and for what we paid we would have hoped for higher hygiene standards

building was pretty and the location was good, the front of house staff seemed really lovely

The room was dirty and had two massive spiders in it. There was dirt and mold in the bathroom it felt like we had been shoved in a room and tucked away. The restraunt staff were very clueless constantly getting orders wrong or arguing with each other.
