Vi mycket nöjda med vår vistelse.

Can't fault it apart from paper cups in the room but we're tea, coffee people and had no problem taking 2 cups up with us and extra milk, sugars.. One fault ( they don't make a whiskey sour cocktail proper at all 😫 ) and expensive for summits not the best but there where drank 🙈 overall..yes I'd stay here again 100% and will do as its great location

Very poor stay

Location is very central for train station, pubs and restaurants.

Issues with heating room was freezing, broken toilet and had to go to public toilet, paid for a view and couldn't see the view we paid for due to condensation permanently on windows, construction work so windows covered over in bar, slippy floor which resulted in a fall.

Based on this and our previous stay we would book Motel One in any city. Excellent value.

Having stayed in the hotel before we knew the location, staff service and rooms were excellent. This is the best value hotel in the city.

Muy tranquilo y acogedor

Las habitaciones estaban muy limpias y la cama era muy comoda. Se dormia muy agusto y sin ruido.

Solo trip to Edinburgh

Everything! As a profoundly deaf person alone. The safe were amazing. I was offered a Deaf Guard the man who checked me in was incredible and patient. I would stay again just because of how welcome he made me feel. The view directly opposite the Christmas market was incredible. There is no better location to stay in Edinburgh, perfect

The lifts seemed to have a mind of its own.

Well I am coming again, hopefully this week

All very good. Loved the ambiance in reception, "green wall". I gave 9 up above because the main doors walk right into where we were all having breakfast. So too many people in same space & 1/2 of them not eating just getting out of rain

Posizione centralissima appena dietro la Royal Mile ed ad un passo dalla New Town. Struttura moderna e funzionale camere grandi e pulite. Bagno grande. staff gentilissimo.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend staying here mainly due to its location and quietness.

Perfect location and very quiet hotel.

A complimentary large bottle of still water in each room would be great so guests could make a cup of tea/coffee on arrival.

Great location but overpriced.

Very close to the main train station and shops, bars and other attractions of the Old Town.

Tiny room with no wardrobe, just hooks on the wall. Very expensive for what was offered. Generic and slightly tired decor.

Motel 1 was the best hotel we stayed at throughout our holiday with friendly and helpful staff.

We found Motel 1 to be exceptional. It was in an excellent location, the room was amazing - had a comfortable bed, TV, 2 comfortable chairs (which were missing at other places we stayed), modern facilities in the bathroom and points for our tech devices. It was an excellent experience. We enjoyed our time here.

just the car parking - however Motel 1 sourced undercover parking for us and gave us code for this, which led to getting a discount while staying at the hotel.

Comfortable

The location of the hotel was great! Right at the beginning of Old Town. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. A good place to land after a day exploring Edinburgh.

The hotel is located in two buildings connected by a glass bridge. This makes it a bit longer and harder to navigate if you are in the second building. But it’s a very minor annoyance. I wouldn’t stop from booking just for that.
