Waratah was a very comfortable place to stay. The room was large …the bathroom was lovely and clean ..bed comfortable.. free bottles for water. Furnishings very nice in line with the style of room and house. Reception was helpful always and cheerful.
It was a bit of a climb up the hill if you walked down them but good exercise.

Large room comfortable bed, room heated and warm on arrival, large bath was lovely, convenient location, very clean
Very noisy corridor woken up every time someone came in or left building due to timber floors loud echo in corridor and front door banging closed each time someone went through it. You need carpet hall runners to help reduce noise it's so annoying to be constantly disturbed.
No toaster or microwave.

Good location
You can hear the people upstairs walking as the wooden floor is squeaky. We were sleeping downstairs and got woken up by noisy guests who came back late - bring ear plugs or ask for the room upstairs. Bed was also not the most comfortable

The building and accommodation was very old heritage Tassie, fabulous.. just what I wanted to experience. Bed was very comfortable.. slept like a log after a 5 day hiking trek. Bathroom great. Nice extra with the micella water in the bathroom. The lady at reception kindly stayed to let me in as I arrived back late and contacted me re the timing. Very much appreciated. Other guests were quiet on their arrival back. Large room.
The disadvantage is that the facility is on top of the hill in Launceston which means a walking distance downtown to access any eateries etc. Which was not expected (but maybe that was my fault for not doing enough research into the geography of the area). There are no local restaurants. after a long hiking trip it would have been good to have easy access to meals etc. Room provided tea / coffee but no other snacks etc, and no breakfasts, which is unusual for a B&B.

Our upper floor room was large, well presented with lovely views. (Room 5)
We arrived from the airport about 9 pm and instruction on the self check in procedure was clearly outlined in email.

Booking in was very simple. Communication was clear and helpful. Lovely room in a good location close to town and parks. Bonus was the provision of micellar water and cleaning make up pads in the bathroom. Was so nice to be able to take the makeup off at the end of the day. No doubt better for their sheets and towels as well.
Having to boil the kettle on the floor was a new one and a little odd.
