Aunque no es culpa del hotel tal vez podrían hacer algo en conjunto con los demás hoteles con respecto al sargazo en la playa y en el mar pues no se puede nadar

L'emplacement les pieds dans l'eau. Aller au village par la plage. La bonne taille de l'appartement avec de quoi se faire un petit déjeuner. La possibilité de rester après le check out pour profiter de la plage

Arricifes Suites - Suite with sea view, 2nd floor

The room has a full kitchen with a bar and a good sized kitchen table. The living room has two sofas and a coffee table. From the living room area, you go through a sliding glass door to a veranda/balcony with an amazing ocean view and a table that can comfortably seat 6. As you look out into the ocean from the balcony, you are looking directly east where you can observe beautiful sunrises over the Caribbean if you can get up early enough. From the balcony, there is a spiral staircase that goes down to a common grass area just over which are the steps to the private beach area. The private beach area is for Arricifes guests only, and there are always a sufficient number of beach chairs and tables with umbrellas available - first come, first serve. This private beach chair area is the best I've seen along Puerto Morrelos's long beach. There is ample space to set up your group's own little area, and my absolute favorite feature is the mature, tall palm trees which tower over the lounge area. They provide additional shade and the sound of the ocean breeze rustling their leaves provides a calming atmosphere perfect for reading and naps. At the end of the private beach area, the public beach begins where you can observe local families of many generations spending time together eating and drinking while the kids run wild. Vendors selling everything from handmade jewelry to fresh pastries, sliced tropical fruit, and jars of honey to whole fresh coconuts which they'll chop open with a machete to expose the coconut water which you drink with a straw. After crossing 30-40 feet of the white sand public beach area, you hop over a little pile of sargassum (arriving earlier and earlier every year) and hit the warm turquoise water of the Caribbean.

The beds, surfaces, and floors were pretty clean, but the whole place needs a deep cleaning. There was noticeable dust and dirt in the corners, on ledges on doors and windows, and around the edges of sinks and the toilet. The room also needs a lot of basic maintenance. The front and back sliding doors need to be replaced or fixed. The keys and locks get jammed and the locks aren't sturdy. All of the cabinet hardware, sink hardware, shower hardware, light fixtures, toilet seat, bedroom curtains, kitchen utensils, and appliances including the fridge are pretty old and need to be replaced. Very affordable modern looking replacements could easily be found on Amazon that would make a huge difference in giving the room a more modern, clean feel. The brown sofas and dark wood furniture also give off a very 70s-80s vibe. The walls and ceiling need some repair work. And all of these updates could be covered for a fraction of our 8 night room fee and need very little skill to do. There are also two more major but necessary updates that need to be made: 1. An AC unit needs to be installed in the living room or at least a more powerful ceiling fan or two AND a powerful oscillating floor fan. It was too hot to hang out in there during the day, and I wouldn't be comfortable sleeping there. 2. Something needs to be done about the sewage smell creeping out of the bathroom drain. It's fine for a while after a shower, but starts to smell again after a few hours. A temporary fix might be to install an electric vent fan and run it on a timer. Some air freshener and fresh flowers would also help. The following things aren't necessary, but I think would really make Arricifes stand out: 1. Provide guests with contact info for a distilled water and ice delivery service. 2. Provide bikes for rent with large baskets that guests could take to the supermarket. 3.

I will choose another property next time.

The location is hard to beat and the room had a mini fridge. Water pressure and warm water were nice. The gentleman checking us in late was very nice.

The room was TINY, with no space to open luggage, not even a luggage rack. My mistake for booking the cheapest room, but I never expected it to be this small. There was a large cockroach in the bathroom upon our 1:30am arrival. The AC only worked for a short while, then was just blowing warm air. Far too hot for a beach location. All in all, I was hot, humid cramped and afraid of additional cockroaches coming out of the sewer.

La ubicación es excelente, a 50 metros de una hermosa y tranquila playa. El hotel tiene reposeras, toallas y sombrillas en lugar exclusivo frente al mar.

No me gustó que hubiera que avisar con 24 hs de anticipación para tener el servicio de limpieza de habitación que está incluido en la tarifa. Cuando reclamamos por no tener realizado dicho servicio el personal informó que habíamos firmado las condiciones generales al momento del check-in (la letra pequeña de un contrato de adhesión, una página A4 de condiciones que no leimos) y que también eso estaba informado en otra hoja A4 pegada en la pared de la recepción. Además nos dijeron que ellos no tienen obligación de advertir al pasajero sobre esa condición. Cuando les hicimos notar que nuestra reserva de Booking indicaba que el derecho a cancelar ese servicio era nuestro, previa consulta con un superior, ofrecieron otra habitación. Ya era tarde porque nos íbamos en la mañana siguiente y teníamos que mudar todo nuestro equipaje. Incluso una recepcionista se comprometió a enviar el servicio aun avisando el mismo día pero eso tampoco ocurrió. El WiFi se cortó por períodos de varios minutos. Encontramos dos cucarachas de tamaño grande cuando nos duchamos.

I would not recommend staying here, even though the beach is lovely.

Location on the beach, mostly helpful staff.

First stay: dead and alive cockroaches in 2 different rooms, including on the bed (I finally stayed in a cockroach-free room); no hot water; generally dingy rooms. Second stay: more cockroaches, dead and alive, wonky toilet.

The staff tried to work with us…management did not on refund.

Location. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Constant plumbing issues. Not hot water first 24 hrs. Several periods of time no water. Partially flushing toilet. Sewer stench in the shower. Broken furniture/appliances. No refund we had to leave because an ant infestation all over food, counters, sink, cupboards, etc.

Wi Fi was terrible, they need definitely investment to improve it as it stands now is not acceptable.

Nice location with beach access

The best thing about this hotel was the location. The beach access was great and it was only a few minutes walk to the town square with all the restaurants and shops.

Our room ran out of water and I asked - twice - for more water and never received any. We only got housekeeping services on the last day and when I asked abut getting coffee for the coffee maker in the room they didn't have any. So I bought coffee and bought water. I just feel the staff misses a lot of details. But the rooms are nice and we had a balcony which I liked.

Great location but not worth $200+ per night.

great location - walk out of the apartment on straight on to the beach where the sun rises directly in front of you.

Tired / run down and needing modernisation. I was in a ground floor properly which was very dark in the bedroom at the back of the property (very little natural light) and not as it appeared in the pictures. Poor shower, broken kitchen pans, shelving unit missing a shelf, doors that were rusted in places making them hard to open / close. Not the end of the world, the apt was clean if not basic, but for around 225 USD per night I would expect a little more comfort.

very disappointed.

quick trip to ocean, hotel supplied loungers.

common areas were dirty, ie spilt food, sand, bugs not swept up for several days at a time. Microwave didn’t work, patio door didn’t lock, poor work surface for any food prep, many kitchen items missing. Beach area dirty as well.

Great location, average everything else

This property is right on the beach, they have 2 buildings; 1 is roadside and 1 is beach side. Both have easy and convenient access to the beachfront with ample loungers to choose from. We liked the proximity to town and the local, smaller, family run stores nearby for items needed to make the stay more comfortable, but that we weren't given - e.g. coffee filters and cloths for the dishes. The pool is small, but well kept and clean, perfect for a dip when you're overheated from a day at the beach, it doesn't get the sun so you can't lounge there for the day The room was clean, large and airy with 2 fans and air con. We had a roadside room so didn't open the window much. If you have a longer stay than 3 days I'd suggest splashing out for a room with a balcony or beach view.

When we arrived the room wasn't quite ready (we arrived just after check in at round 3:15pm). We were told it would be 10 minutes but waited for 45 minutes for the room to be ready. The shower is a strange set up, the water is hot which is great, however, the shower head is so far from where you stand that it almost dribbles when the water finally hits you below. Difficult to wash long hair! The day before we checked out we paid $300 pesos for a later checkout the following day. This was accepted by the clerk and we were given a receipt. Upon check out at 4:30pm (half an hour before the 5pm late checkout curfew) I went to the front desk to give back our key and receive our beach towel deposit back ($200 pesos per towel). The receptionist told me I owed $50 pesos for the late checkout as the fee is actually $350 pesos and not $300 pesos. I explained that in the room it clearly stated the fee was $300 pesos and that the receptionist the day before had accepted this fee and given me a receipt for it, in the end the staff member agreed and said it was ok, but it kind of annoyed us as we waited 45 minutes to check in originally but didn't complain about that, and then we left 30 minutes early even with the late check out. We thought it was a little petty to argue for $50 pesos.
