Horrible Hosts in Subpar Condo in Central Raleigh with Roaches
1 night stay in Inviting Condo in Central Raleigh for our niece's high school graduation... Overall HORRIBLE experience. To begin the condo was decently decorated, had basic amenities (tissue, paper towels, dish washing liquid, towels, soap, etc) HOWEVER the issues AND the way these were handled by the hosts far outweighed any of the amenities, conveniences or benefits. Specifically the hosts' reaction when the issues were brought to their attention. What were these issues you might ask? To begin with, as night fell and temps dropped outside, it became uncomfortably chilly then downright cold in the condo. Upon trying to adjust the thermostat we found out (later from the hosts/owners) that it was hard set to a 72 degree maximum. Apparently there are insulation issues that need to be addressed in the condo as the apartments easily appear to be over 3 decades old. Therefore, although 72 degrees would normally be a comfortable setting in a well insulated home, not so in a drafty older condo. But since the thermostat was set to not go over 72 degrees, we were forced to spend the night in uncomfortably cold accomodations, huddled under as many blankets as we could, trying to generate and preserve as much warmth as possible. Next no matter what we did, we couldn't get the main TV in the living room area to work. Unplugged it, reset the box, etc, etc. Then, shortly after arriving, upon checking out the view from the patio balcony, after multiple tries my mother found the sliding glass door couldn't be locked as the lock was broken. Being unfamiliar with the area and estimating the neighborhood did not appear to be the safest, my mother creatively unscrewed the broom handle and placed it in the track of the sliding glass door for some security and peace of mind as we slept. Needless to say, I reported my concerns to the hosts via email the next day. They were very responsive and came over to the condo right away. That was the only positive.

Clean and spacious condo
The inside of the condo was super nice and clean. It was updated and the decor was nice.Very
It was close to PNC arena, but the outside of the condo was dated and the grounds needed upkeep.
