Good
The room was really nice and the facilities were good.
We arrived before the checkin time so we were asked to wait until then, which was completely understandable. We ended up having lunch at the hotel restaurant, which was nice. We tried to check in after 3pm but were told the hotel was completely occupied and the guests who were staying at our room hadnt checked out and we were just supposed to wait until they check out and the cleaning staff finished cleaning the room. After a bit of back and forth, they upgraded us to a bigger room that was available (although it was over an hour after the check in time, bearing in mind that we had been traveling for almost a day). The room was nice but we struggled to sleep at night because of the noise outside (I think there was a bar/club below that was playing very loud music at night) - perhaps some of the other rooms were in a better spot.

Convinient Stay
The potter, resturant & cleaning staff are /were the best. In addition to the dinner I ordered once, they were great when I attended a cocktail evening and the summit later in that week. I also liked the clean, clean linen and a very big bed. The virtual gym I thoroughly enjoyed as well as the techno survey feel of the room. The welcome snacks in my room which included a bottle of nice South African wine, peanuts & biltong cheered me up after the not so good check in experience.
I struggled to understand where I should park. I think the hotel should provide information & /guidance on parking. What was worse was that the lady who checked me in didn't bother to tell that the hotel had under cover parking. I parked in the opposite building. I had to even ask her for a porter. The worse part was the ffg morning, I struggled to get out because I didn't pay for parking and the override wasn't done properly. I wasted time I didn't have and found the session in progress and key address already started. What I also found strange was to be told (@check in) that the hotel doesn't provide take away breakfast. I needed this flexibility because I am on interment fast. Now I was forced to have breakfast. Except for the gentleman who checked me out, the front desk ladies were just not friendly. As Black South African you already feel in foreign land when in CT for that to be confirmed it's rather a sore point.

Very good but a bit loud
Everything was very good and clean. The breakfast was amazing and they have a pretty good bar downstairs for the evening.
Everything was pretty great except for the fact that there was some sort of concert right outside my window which ended at midnight so for a few hours things were very loud. I would have appreciated if the staff had informed me right after I made my booking that there would be a loud concert right next to the hotel. I’m pretty sure they knew about the event by the time I booked.

Good
Room window had a malfunction Roo. 509
Asking to change the room was not done as there was too much noise on the 31Durban. Iron request was a mission

Not a great hotel for a long stay.
the location is great with many restaurants options nearby.
The breakfast was not good, if you arrived late the bread and croissants were stale and the food was generally not good or tasty. The staff were not all informed, different staff gave different information and feedback on things. We ordered room service but couldn’t add the bill to the room, we had to pay. We couldn’t get cold water from anyone in the hotel, all bottled water was room temperature. The cocktails we ordered from the bar were terrible.
