continental brekky was good , showers and bathroom were fine . Nice old pub.
the beds were uncomfortable and old , the room looked dirty , the ceiling fan covered in deep dust. the internet showed modern verandah rooms , which were empty , and we got an old interior room. it was just an over night stop.

Quaint and old fashioned - imagine hobbits staying here!
No locks on toilets, open shower area, tepid hot water, lots of peeling paint etc, nothing in bedroom except bed and chair.

Location
even though it is an old building but a better maintenance will be great

Lots of character, lovely staff and excellent food at the restaurant! Great free breakfast options too!

The request for my room to be ready early was met which was better than a previous stay. The staff were friendly and.polite. The bed was comfortable and the room cosy, which was good considering it was 2°outside. 🙂

old school pub accommodation with comfortable room and beds
restaurant food was amazing and great value
going out onto the verandah in order to access the bathroom was a bit chilly

Price snd location.
Bit old and run down even for a country pub. Just don't expect to much.

The town is lovely, great place to stop over. People are friendly and some good food to be found. Had dinner at the pub, bloody awesome food and the live music was good too.
The mattresses in our room on the single beds really need to.be replaced, hey were not very comfortable to sleep on with no support.

Most of the staff were nice but one was grumpy.
The owner was more than helpful & the place was very welcoming.
The staff were happy to use my own milk since they didn't have the milk I liked.
I LOVED the location & huge verandahs.
The food was very good & gluten free when I asked for it.
Coffees were very nice & they even had a shot of vanilla
I couldn't eat the free breakfast, it all contained Gluten & they didn't have lactose free milk ( thats ok because I got my own milk from IGA ).
There was a fridge to keep my own special milk in but that would have been better in my room rather than in a common area.
The hot water too SO long to come through in the shower, I thought it was broken.
The light in the bathroom would not turn on but I think it was on a timer. I informed the owner who fixed it.
My bed could have had a mattress topper, it was a bit long in the tooth.
There was no tv in the room.
The bathroom was WAY down the other end of the building with 2 sets of stairs in between. I would much prefer a room with my own bathroom, mini fridge & kettle.

This hotel was fabulous. I was worried about noise but there was none whatsoever (in fact my mother and I may have been the noisy ones lol). Clean, comfortable, warm and cosy… perfect for our “just passing through” stay. And the food at the pub downstairs was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced.
No complaints

Staff were very friendly and helpful and very relaxed with having my dog with me during my stay.
Veranda rooms are quite noisy due to facing the main street.

Beautiful country pub to stay at. Room fantastic, facilities lovely and clean, the bed was comfy. dinner was sensational and good value for money, and, the staff were really accommodating and super friendly. Couldn't recommend more if you are looking for an overnight stop or for a weekend!
Nothing - everything was perfect!

Good wifi in bedroom.
Bathroom and breakfast area very clean. I saw the cleaning lady and told her she did a great job. I don't think she heard that very often. :)
Bed very old and uncomfortable. Downstairs main door to street left open all evening and early morning leaving the breakfast area upstairs freezing. Depending on location of your room it could be noisy as trucks drive through main street all night.
