About this house rental
This charming home was built in 1890 in Marquette’s historic east side neighborhood area. The home is 5 short blocks to Lake Superior beaches and walking/biking trails. It is under two blocks from the Third Street Shopping District which boasts several locally respected restaurants, brew pubs, shopping and art galleries. The Downtown District is within easy walking distance and has additional shopping, restaurants, brew pubs and the lower harbor area where most of our festivals take place. Marquette is a very biker friendly community with miles of trails to explore nearby. The home consists of an updated kitchen that has every appliance any home would have. It is fully equipped so you can be as culinary as you like. The spacious bathroom has also been updated and offers a deep soaker tub/shower combination and radiant in floor heat. A full size washer & dryer are also housed within the space. Entry, living room and bedroom furnishings are all in great shape. Mattresses are very comfortable. The home has a modern/contemporary style with some whimsical elements that complement the décor. The single level living makes watching your children easy as you have a full range of sight throughout the home. The home sleeps 4 in the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed; the second bedroom has a double bed. The back deck has an outdoor grill and dining set so you can enjoy dining al fresco, if you like. The backyard also has a standalone (locked) storage shed that you can use to store outdoor recreational equipment during your stay. The backyard is fenced so your children can play out back without concern for traffic or neighbors. So, bring your suitcase and enjoy Marquette for a few days, a week, month or longer. Pat's place was very clean and check-in was easy. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the ice machine was a bonus. We really enjoyed walking into town for food, drinks and shopping. Check out the Vierling, Babycakes and The Delft for food. We enjoyed The Honorable Distillery for drinks and Thill & Son's Fish House for smoked fish too. Would definitely stay again.

The house is within walking distance to everything we wanted in Marquette - coffee shops, restaurants, breweries, parks, playgrounds and a beach! It was perfect for our family of 4.

Perfect property for our two couples spring getaway to the UP. Great location for walking to shopping, dining and area attractions. All the amenities you could ask for, well equipped kitchen and laundry onsite. Very clean and well organized. Cute outdoor area for when the weather warms up. Hosts were very responsive to any inquiries.

One of the very best locations we have stayed in while in Marquette. Easy walking distance to 3rd Street (restaurants, coffee shops, and bars) as well as downtown. Close to the trail by the lakeshore. The home was perfect for the two of us. Very comfortable and practical. Definitely would stay there again.

This was a wonderful home right in the middle of everything to do in Marquette. Clean as a whistle stocked with everything you need, with a beautiful backyard. Walk to Lake Superior, Blackrocks and Ore Dock Breweries, restaurants and shopping. Quiet neighborhood. Great communication with the owners. Easy and relaxing. Wish I could have stayed longer.

It was just what we needed easy and comfortable with a great backyard. My only concern being older was tub with a big step in and out and no handrails and the shower door lets lots of water all over the bathroom so be careful as you walk around. Put towels on floor or wear shoes. I fell the first day but was lucky not to get hurt. Otherwise a great property

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was great! The kitchen was very well stocked for all your cooking needs and the whole home is very clean and beautiful! We loved the fenced in backyard for our kiddos too!

Excellent place to stay - would do so again!
This was an excellent VRBO. We were impressed at how all of our needs were provided for, everything down to entertainment for our 3-year-old son (discovered Connect 4 in the treasure trove of games)! We were in want/need of nothing, which made it all the easier to get into "vacation mode". An excellent, clean, quiet place to stay with my husband and young son!
The only constructive criticism to offer is a little confusion over the trash. It seems that city trash needs to be put out in city bags and we weren't sure where to buy them. Felt badly for leaving several bags of trash behind (again, the bags were provided for us!) and would suggest maybe leaving 1-2 in the cabinet. We were nervous about tucking off to the side of the front porch during our stay, not wanting critters to come and make a mess!

Excellent Rental and Hosts
This is a great rental. It is very clean and the perfect size for a family of four. Excellent location as well--it is close to the bike trails and close to the downtown where all the action is. I would stay here again and I would highly recommend that anyone else stay here as well.
