Staff friendly and helpful and good facilities.
Thought the 2 rooms would have 2 beds in each but i had to share with 10 year old grandson and my wife had to share with 11 year old grandaughter..

The room was basic but a nice size, clean and comfortable. The staff and the bar were lovely. We had a drink there, no food.
We ended up getting a taxi in and out of Stirling, as the weather wasn't great. The staff were able to supply a local number.
The main photo shows the bar and restaurant, you check in there and then go across to the building next door, to your room. As bikers, we dragged our bags and helmets etc. into the bar and then we had to go across to the other building. It wasn't ideal. Just to note, for other bikers.

Room only rate because I was leaving early the following morning. A beautiful part of the world and the property location is convenient/felt safe.
Excellent staff, attentive, good humoured and quick witted. Made me a wickedly delicious espresso martini.
Peak season, so expected to pay a higher prices compared to quieter times of the year. The accommodation is a short walk behind the pub itself. Not a problem and helped walk some of my delicious food off!

Dinner at night was very good. Staff very attentive
There was only two tea bags in the twin room. Two more would have been good.

As a guest you ask to leave towels on the towel rack if you are happy to reuse them but they changed the towel's anyway

Our second Marston's stay, which didn't disappoint. Enjoyed great dinner. Handy location to access on way past or to Stirling.

The sundaes Chocolete brownie
The evening meal was a let down and Not what was written on the menu.
Starting with starters of Cheesy Nachos , was not what we got the Tomato salsa, turned out tobe chopped up tomatoes. All of it was fake cheese, No spring onions.
Main course of Steak and Ale pie, let down the Mash was out of a packet. The seasonal greens was stalks of cabbage.
The total for the meal plus 2 pints of lager £50-50.
Way to much for what we got, and a tot rip off.
When you turn up there is No one on reception, so you have to go shouting to find a member of staff.
Just to find a very rude man claiming tobe the manager, and not happy being called to service.
My advice DONT STAY OR EAT THERE

THE PASTRIES

Very easy to find. Good location for a day at the Saffari park. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Lots of parking and child friendly.
No plug in bath. The pub next door where you check in and have breakfast was such a beautiful establishment but the food was not good. Would make a better meal at home with frozen foods. The food really lets this place down unfortunately. There is a little hidden beautiful restaurant just 2 mins away called River house Stirling and the food here was fabulous. Definitely worth staying at hotel but eating at riverside house who have a lovely breakfast and dinner menu.

Soap smelled good
I reserved a double and they tried to give me a twin room. I showed them the reservation and they put the 2 twins together. NOT THE SAME, UNCOMFORTABLE. The lady at reception was unpleasant and cold. Seriously, have you heard about customer service? You might want to try it.

The evening statt were very friendly and efficient
We booked 2 rooms and we're given 206 and 207 but we found that someone else was already in room 207 and we were given a lesser room than we paid for on the first floor
